@Leenie - Not so much exciting as it was relaxing. It was nice not having to wake up for work and pretty much being able to do what we wanted... all while hanging out in nice 80 degree weather and seeing sunny skies. :D

I have a rather dumb question...but hey, I'm just cool like that, lol!

I'd like to get in on this 50 book action...though I'll probably be shooting for more than that. Anyways, my question is, how wrong would it be to post a list of all the books I want to attempt to read, and just highlight them off as I read them, rather than post them one at a time as I get them done? I guess, I just wasn't sure if that'd be okay to do, or if it'd mess up the whole dynamic of the thread...>.>...because my list is gonna be pretty long, I've got 53 books written down so far, and at least another 20 to go.

Anyways, yeah...just wanted to check that before I start, heh. *drifts away*

My list is like that. No one has spoken ill of doing that, and I've seen a few lists, if I remember correctly, that are doing the same.

Thankies much, Massage! I just think it'd be easier to stay on track that way, and it feels more organized, heh. Aaaand, I shall have my list up tomorrow! *must go to bed now*

@feyona - i... have a problem. ._.;
if i had enough money, i would have more books. XD

@shadow - yay spine identification. that giant space in the third row down is getting filled with discworld books once i finish the ones i have.
you know, if i had checked i probably would have noticed, but i got the first one a couple summers ago, then got the second soon after. and then one day when i went to the bookstore i finally noticed the third.
I HAVE NO SENSE OF TIME. 8D (or distance. ;_; )

@dani - i took it because the last one i had taken is severely out of date. :[
it's the one on my facebook. XD

@massage - that is my collection since forever. i even have a little section for my kids books in the bottom right corner of the middle case. :3

@kamikaze - it's good that you were chilling out. :3
i think... dani might be like that right now. XDDD
she's thawing out here. n____n

@jeice - like massage says, there's no set way to do your list.
they are FULLY CUSTOMISABLE. 8D
i also need to ask, what is your avatar wearing, aside from that valentine's hairpin. so preeetty. @_@

All of my books aren't on an actual shelf. I have about three stacks on my dresser, a small double-layered shelf in my room, at least five boxes stacked neatly in my closet, a small shelf in my closet, one shelf in my brother's room, and a metal shelf in my basement.

Even if I were to take photos, you wouldn't be able to see much. Only a small fraction of my books are on display.

Well, I have a ton of books up in the attic. The ones downstairs are the ones I've read recently or want to read. All the ones upstairs are kid or young adult books. I read A TON when I was 11 or so.

I just finished 101 Survival Secrets (How to Make $1,000,000, lose 100 pounds, and just plain live happily) by Rich Hatch. It's actually pretty good. Kinda short (127 pages) but I'd recommend it for anyone who is looking for something motivational or that wants to know what another person sees as happiness... or a Survivor buff. Apparently he won Survivor.

Yeah, I looked because I thought it might be in there and then I'd deserve a slap if it was and I didn't see it, but I just couldn't. Good thing I wasn't blind. 8D

Books though I have around thirteen shelves. Plus the huge amount of books in boxes in my basement and garage.

Manga is pretty darn expensive for a short story with pretty pictures. xP

Dang this thread, reminding me how much I like to read. A week only since I found it, and already I've plowed through 10 books and almost 4000 pages. I have other things I should do!

i read the manga more than just once. it's one of those things that can keep my attention better because it has pictures.
i have no attention span~ so regular novels sometimes get me to read the same paragraph ten times before i understand it.

Whoa, I thought I read a lot. I only made it to a bit over 7,000 pages in January and about 5,000 - 6,000 in February (darn midterms).

I'm with leenie, manga are fun to reread because of the picture. xD

*snort*
Pokemon expansion packs were my crack when I was little. A trip to the store was dubbed very disappointing if I didn't get one (or some other little pokemon toy).

Sorry if this makes you sad, but... my bookcase.(I can list all that's on it if anyone's interested. xD It wouldn't take long.)
Twilight is kept elsewhere. I don't know why, it just doesn't go on my bookcase.

Cherry: I want to build you some shelves, or special compartments for your ceiling to hold you books. xD Then take you to a book store.

It's okay Iltu, I just got obsessed for a month. All those pages I read were basically two series by the same author. xD

@cherry - is your jennifer government hardcover? :0
AHAHA i have that painless algebra book... somewhere... :/
i recognise maybe... half of them?
good thing that twilight is kept elsewhere. your bookcase is very adult and twilight would just kill that. XD
..... pez dispensers.... yesssssss.... 8DDD

@iltu - psshhh i've got 20-something? since october.
it's not even that i'm slow, i'm just lazy. :[

Iltu - You did!
I read it many years ago and absolutely loved it. But I remember next to nothing of it now, so I want to read it again.

Dream - Ceiling compartments? *_* Sounds awesome.
Yeah, I do need more books. But I have about twenty unread currently, so I really should get through those, first. Only exception is if I can find one of the books on my wishlist or discover something else that I HAVE to have.

Leenie - Yup! 8D Which was awkward for me to read, but now it can be all like "HAI, OTHER BOOKS, I'M BETTER THAN YOU" and they're all like "oh noooooo"

Woo! :D Could probably recognize more if you could read the spines. A lot of the older ones have sooo many reprints that they don't have inherently recognizable spines (like Austen and Orwell)

Yeah, Twilight would definitely kill the mood. xD I mean, I have some young adult books on there, but they're all very mature young adult books. Liiiiike Sabriel.
Also, the Twilight books are huuuuge, so I feel like I'd be wasting a ton of space that could be better used for other books that don't look so nice stacked up on a shelf. xD
If I get a bigger bookcase (Which I probably will have to soon), I'll probably put Twilight on it, then. If nothing else, just to help fill up the shelves that have yet to be filled.

Yeah, I had a bunch more all stored downstairs, so I picked out the best ones and decided they should come to my room. The rest were kind of lame.
I don't even eat Pez. xDD They were just cute.
