Converting to judaism is similer in a way. However you go to school for 3-4 years (like a class weekely)
To get a crass coures on the history, basic facts of the tora and begin taking the langue coures since most survices are held in hebrew.
Also by learning hebrew you can then read the tora yourself and translate it teachings to better learn then to simply listen and nodd your head.

It can be a lot of memory work, but it's very basic.
If you believe it you know it.
You can go to schools for various things - Pioneer school, etc, to further your knowledge and teaching abilities (qualifies you for things like the Missionary work, etc) and, where the need be, there is foreign language classes within congregations (ie, if there's a predominant Spanish speaking population in the area, there is a possibility for a Spanish language class to be offered.)
I'd like to learn Hebrew.
Among a billion other languages. Lol.
Japanese, Italian, Latin, Hindi, the list goes on and on and on....
