That site is not safe anyone heard of the craigslist killer. Women seeking men adding pleasure. He would meet up with random ladies on the craigslist. Some he killed some he let get away. We went on there to look for a dry and washer. We quickly changed our minds. The ppl can seem normal on the screen but all you don't know they can be dangerous.

I bought a 30 Gallon fishtank off Craigslist, came with hood, light, and gravel. I made sure that someone came with me to pick it up. Because as much as I'd like to think that there is some good in humanity, I know better than to go out alone. The deal was solid and the couple was selling the tank because they had a new baby and couldn't care for both. So it ended up being a safe situation, but I was glad that I had brought along someone to help me move the tank. ;D
Also I have searched for jobs and apartments on Craigslist. The jobs almost always end up being scams. But as for the Apartments, it really works out. Posting on Craigslist is free which makes it cheaper than the newspaper, and you get a broader clientel from the internet. When I'm doing my job searches I tend to look up apartments in the area a la Craigslist to get the average figure for cost of living. Some places I'm seeing that the rent is mad cheap but utilities are robbery or that the salary pay rate wouldn't cover my rent so I would have to find a second income source to live there.
Over all it's a really helpful source, but just like with every thing else you have to use some judgment and common sense. Some things in life come with inherent risks that you have to take precautions for.

ive always had a verry postive experience with craigslist, except for a few posting problems when they redid their site about a year ago, i think.

My bf bought and sold a car on there.

We have gotten NUMEROUS things off the free stuff part, and most of it is just on the curb, you dont even have to meet anyone. but i did have to meet someone for one of the free things cus it couldnt be left out in the elements. Which when i did, it was in a public place and i was not alone. :) we got 3 dirt devil vaccums for free. and they all were treated badly, the guy didnt know how to fix them so he just kept buying new ones! i took them home and got my grandpa to help me take them apart and now they all work good as new!

I have also met one person through craigslist, on the looking for dating part. we did talk for about a preiod of a month and then finaly decied to meet. things didnt work out but not becuase either of us were crazy or stalkers lol. its just we both had such horrible conflicting schedules and the person lived in the next town, rising gas prices and such >.<

I got my job of craigslist, and it pays more than minimum wage :)

Thats about it, i <3 cragslist and plan to continue to use it in the future :D

the only bad thing about cragslit i can think of is those stupid "modeling" jobs. ive never encountered this but my freind who used to be a model did, her mom went with her and they didnt even go in the building cus the place looked shady. but my freind says that it is kinda normal for shifty modeling jobs, so its not specific to cragslist.
