Lori was going threw the latest road of paperwork a slight smile on her face .

Al entered with Ed at the moment smiling. "Hi Lori." he greeted.

"Oh welcome back boys." Lori stood and hugged them.

Roy looked up from his desk where, surprisingly, he was also doing paperwork. "Good to see you again, boys." He said. The pun was clearly intended, since his eyes were focused and he could obviously see again.

Gemini walked into the room right then, carrying yet more paperwork. "I just got more from- oh!" She put the papers down and went to hug the brothers. "You're back! It's so great to see you again! Hey...Al, you look great! And Ed, did you..." She stood on her tiptoes. "You did! It's just a little bit, but you definitely got taller!"

"Yes I am taller." Ed grinned looking extremely pleased with that. Al held Gemini a little longer then was necessary "I'm glad you have your vision back Colonel."

"Isn't it great." Lori smiled at Roy kissing his cheek gently.

Gemini blushed a little bit, then chuckled. "Did he make the 'good to see you' pun again?" She asked.

Roy glanced away and cleared his throat. "I don't make the pun that much." He mumbled, though he knew it was a lie.

"Yes he did." Lori chuckled a little. "He's cute though."

Al and Ed made faces. "We actually just came to say were heading for are chosen places." Al admitted. "We wanted to say goodbye."

Roy did his best not to blush at being called cute. "So you're leaving right away?" He asked. "I suppose that makes sense. You want to get going quickly." He stood up and shook each boy's hand. "Make sure to write every now and then."

"Oh!" Gemini's hand flew to her mouth. "Wait, you can't go just yet! I mean, I have a bag packed and ready but it's at home, so I'd at least need to go get it...Miss Lori, is it okay if I go now?" She didn't want to ditch work, but if Al was leaving, she had to go, too.

"Well we have many people to say goodbye to." Ed sighed. "We wanted to do you guys first." He shrugged. "You can meet me in the square Gemini." Al offered.

"Of course you can go." Lori hugged the girl tightly. "Come back to visit soon."

Gemini hugged Lori back. "I will. When we come back, you're the first person I'll come see. And I promise I'll write, too. Take good care of the kitten." She said, then turned to Al. "I'll get my things and meet you there."

Roy crossed his arms. "So, I don't get a goodbye, Gemini? How mean." He said, pretending to be upset. He was surprised when the tiny redhead hugged him next. Awkwardly, he patted her shoulder. "Okay...I'll see you around."

"I'll take care of the kitten." Lori promised glancing at the cat who was curled up on the window sill.

Gemini pulled away from Roy and headed for the door. "See you!" She said, waving one last time before she ran out, eager to get her things together.

"It's going to be quiet around here without her." Roy said after Gemini was gone.

"Yeah." Lori looked a little sad. "Though it will pick up when you become president."

Al waited for Gemini after he was done with his share of the goodbyes.

Roy nodded. "Yeah, you're right." He said, and smiled. "At least we can date openly now. And without Gemini in the room all the time, I can kiss you any time I want." He kissed her then, just to prove his point.

He didn't have to wait long, as Gemini appeared less than a minute later with a small suitcase and a backpack in tow. She spotted him and waved. "Hi! I hope you weren't waiting long." She said, walking up to him.

"No I wasn't waiting to long." Al smiled at her. "Let's get going we have a long way to do."

Lori blushed and kissed him back.

Gemini nodded. "Right." She said, hitching up her backpack a little bit. She smiled at Al. "We'll need train tickets first, right?"

"Got them." Al held them up. "Tahdah."

Lori pulled away. "Meh."

Gemini chuckled. "You're one step ahead of me, then." She said. "I'm glad I'm traveling with you."

Roy frowned. "Meh? That's it? I'll have to work on my kissing." He said.

"I'm mehing because your annoying." Lori teased him and squeezed his hand.

"I'm glad I'm traveling with you too." Al blushed softly.

"I'm adorable and you love me." Roy teased back.

Gemini blushed a little, then cleared her throat. "The train's about to leave. We should hurry before it leaves without us."

"True." Lori kissed him again. The others rolled there eyes becoming annoyed with there displays of love.

"Right." Al raced off to catch the train smiling happily as they go to see the lands of Xing.

Standing outside Lori's apartment door, Roy fixed his tie and rearranged the flowers he'd bought. Once he was convinced he looked okay, he knocked on the door.

Gemini smiled slightly as she poured water into a small bowl and set it on the floor. A kitten came forward shyly and started drinking from it. After arriving in Xing, Al and Gemini had settled into a pattern of traveling to new cities and staying for a while, then traveling again. This was the third city they'd been to, and they had just set up in a new apartment. One thing that had stayed constant was the fact that they took care of every stray cat that came their way.

Lori opened the door dressed in a tight fit dress with a low neckline. She blushed at Roy but smiled. "Flowers Roy? What's the occasion?" She took them from him. "And you managed to remember my favorite's."

Al joined Gemini smiling he had filled out to be a pleasant size not thin but not fat either. He had also grown taller and a bit tanner. "Find another one?" He asked shaking his short hair out of his face.

Roy blushed a tiny bit, seeing Lori dressed up like that. He handed her the flowers and smiled. "Our one-month anniversary. I thought we'd go somewhere nice to celebrate." He said.

Gemini nodded. "This one actually came to me. I'm starting to wonder if they tell each other about us." She said with a chuckle.
