Okie-dokie! =DD
I just think its awesome how we've been studying nature and the universe and stars and stuff and we're STILL learning more. And while a green blob that spits out stars sounds like someone made it up, well... so does the platypus.
EBBORD BE PRAISED! =D

They found a bacteria in California whose chemical makeup is Arsenic: completely blowing out of the water our theory that only carbon-based organisms can survive as a species, or even as a stable entity. My mind erupted with the possibilities!

I saw that article a while back Hyena. I wondered why people hadn't actually thought of that possibility before. Like how trees use carbon dioxide to "breathe" and oxygen just happens to be the waste of that process. Why on earth would something that lives in a differnt environment only live off of oxygen based planets. I kinda saw that as common sense from watching Star Trek growing up. You know when they land on a new planet and test the air, "Oh, there isn't oxygen here. Don't take your mask off." And they have aliens walking around, without maskes because that is their environment. I dunno. Though finding something like that ON EARTH, is pretty interesting.
What do you think about it Kiara? What kinda stuff interests you?

Well, the possibility had been thought of before. Its just that they never found any evidence of it until just recently. And this bacteria has succeeded as a species for longer than any lab attempts at making a non-carbon entity, and not only that but thrived! Its just... FANTASTIC!

I guess I'm one of those people that thinks that if it can be thought up then there is a possibility that it is out there somewhere. I don't always need proof, and just talking about the idea that something like that could be out there is enough for me as long as someone presents logical ideals. And then again, even some illogical ones might be worthwhile. I mean, people used to think that the earth was flat. Very silly to look back on that now. Maybe sometime in the future years they will look back at the people who didn't believe that there was other "life" out there and laugh. I don't think that "life" has to be definied as an oxygen using lifeform. You know?
Kiara - What about yamiko O_O I was asking what kinda stuff you found interesting

Some people still believe the earth to be flat. o_o
I just think that the proof of it makes it all the more exciting! >w<

Well there are those cultures out there in the remote parts of south america that haven't had MUCH contact with the outside world. People try to protect them from basic human contact because they don't have imunities to diseases and such, so they'd be quickly wiped out by something as simple as a cold. :( It is crazy to think that they don't have any knowledge of that technology that we take for granted. LIke when they see a plane, do they think that it's a great flying bird? A god of some sorts? Who knows. There was a show on the travel channel where they took 6 guys from a remote island in africa and sent them to america to experience the American way and also to look for a soldeir who had visited their tribe and stopped a major argument like.. 40 years ago or something. They didn't find the soldier of course but they did learn a lot of things about America and had a good time. That show was really interestnig.
Kiara are you friends with her on FB? Sometimes it's easier to get in contact with someone that way ^^ You're right, this place is really interesting. It goes back to the great advances that we've had in technology. Now, I can't imagien living without them really ^^

I hear they've created a variety of cloth that can project images onto it, as well as charge your electronics without needing an external adaptor. *u*
But what I'm REALLY waiting for is the sonic screwdriver. That's what I want. Is that so much to ask?

Hello all ^_^
I don't remember posting here before, but I will be on until I decide to rest. I haven't posted much today so I might as well post more.
That's amazing how technology advances; but one thing that is necessary for development of technology, is the scientific method! New technology is thoroughly tested before public release, and any faults should be noted and fixed.

I mean heat vision. That can detect heat and show you the image of the heat that's in a person's body or something. It can be used to look through walls for police forece and see what people are doing inside in a hostage situation, saving a lot of lives.
Hyena, I think that the wireless charge was a pretty cool thing. I always liked the clothes that detected sound waves you know? And it's like, you're wearing the sound XD Little things amuse me sometimes, so a sonic screwdriver is not too much to ask! lol

Hyena ;; I had similar opinions until I understood the scientific method and saw some of the technology used by scientists!
Zephi ;; Heat vision would be cool ;P And maybe ultraviolet and X-ray vision could have practical uses in the appropriate circumstances, right?
