That's a cute dress. If my mom hadn't pushed for floor-length, I think I might have bought something like that instead.

I looked pretty good in floor-length. I think I would have looked better in mid-calf or higher, but she wanted me to have a princess-esque dress. Which I thought was silly because I'm hardly a princess. I chose a brown dress as a compromise because I looked damn good in it. She wanted tulle out the wazoo... @_@

Princess dresses are for weddings.
And I don't want to be a princess for my wedding anyhow. Its going to be empire waist.

Cheap ones will. I think sequins are kind of tacky, anyhow. They make me think of fish.

Wow... what a night... One of my coworkers is here with me, cause a bunch are staying due to the horrid weather we're still enduring, and she had a panic attack earlier and now is really just emotionally a wreck. She's such a nice person too :-( I've been trying my best to help her but she's just really in a bad place.

That's the down side. When someone has a real, genuine, diagnosed panic attack, they can't. It consumes them, possesses them. Sleep would be impossible, and being alone in a quiet dark room would likely make it worse for her. Distractions are pretty temporary. I sent someone to get her some St Johns Wart and I made her some Sleepy time tea with chamomile to try to calm her nerves, and otherwise I've just been trying to talk her down.

A panic attack ceases to be a mental matter before the brain can even process that its having an attack. Immediately, the physical aspects become more prevalent. Shakes, tears, headaches, dry mouth. The entire body simply stops functioning and goes into meltdown. And when someone says "calm down" the answer is indelibly "I can't." The physical aspects of the attack are what create the downward spiral, and the freak out becomes less about the original trigger and more about the "oh god what is wrong with me."
It can take anywhere from an hour to a week to get to a good place again.
I have a journal piece that pretty much maps out an anxiety attack.... based on true-to-life experience. I could probably post it on Mene if you want to see it. >>

Were my words too big? o_o
I just posted it in my blog on Mene, so if you want to see what a panic attack is like for me, its available without having to link you to a facebook page.
