Not that this conversation wasnt interesting and all but Daeman was starting to get antsy. When Amaki looked at her she knew that meant to keep her mouth shut and let the woman deal with the matter. In order to keep her mouth shut and cool her tounge, the girl leaned against one of the damp walls of the tunnel. They were underground of course so there had to be some sort of condensation. The metalic elemental started to close her eyes and listen closely to the sounds of the tunnel, even though the other two were talking to each other.

Thats when the new comer said it. She was the fifth elemental. Almost wide eyed, she watched as the girl turned around and showed them that she was the fifth at Amaki's request. She grabbed Amaki's arm and whispered in her ear. "We should go now... I dont like this."

The girl had repeated what she had basically said in a whisper by saying she was antsy just by being here. "Amaki... We have to go." Footfalls could be heard by the girl on the tunnels metalic floor. "Their coming." She pushed the group, even the new comer towards there objected goal point. "Keep quiet. We have to get out of here." It was rude and seemingly unnecessary to the others but she had her reasons.

Amaki didn't have to be told that they had to get moving, she knew this; though she did not approve of Daeman's actions, such details could be covered later. "Well then," she said quietly, her voice quieting further. "Welcome to the team lightning. We can talk more once we are safe. For now, follow me." She then turned down a tunnel that was hidden in the shadows. Most didn't think to take this way seeing as they never really saw it. This way wasn't as short, but it lead to the same area if you knew where you were going.

The void elementalist expected the team to be wise enough to follow her close enough to see but not close enough to bother her. Bee-lining from one tunnel to another, the girl moved in the darkness like an expert; it hadn't been the first time that impending discovery led her to discovery more ways back to HQ. After a few moments, the girl suddenly stopped and peaking around the corner stepped back out. There was a little light coming down from the top of the tunnel, a ladder just below it.

The hole led to the outskirts of town, a block away from the flower shop. There had been discussions about creating a hole in the shop, but such an act would be too suspicious. "Alright, everyone out. I will keep an eye on the tunnels."

Keeping quiet she followed after the other HERO's. The other women was right they could talk later when they got out of the tunnels and to safety. Dashna let her bolt vanish so they couldn't be spotted because of it. As she followed after them she rubbed her eyes with her hand. She needed to rest, she was getting tired from all the running and walking. All day she had been dodging patrols. When they got to the latter Dashna stopped and looked up.

Waiting for someone to go first she stepped to the side. She had no idea where to go once they were out of the tunnel so it was best she didn't go first. She would just look suspicious standing there waiting. Looking around she listened for anyone that was coming.

Daeman ran through the tunnels in the rear making sure that everyone had made it to the right one. The al'Sinne were not on their tails anymore. It seemed they couldnt figure out which tunnel to go through in order to track them. The no light didnt help. She could tell by the way the new recruit was walking, that she was tired. She made sure that she didnt fall even though she didnt and was ready for if she did. THe girl seemed to be exhausted.

When the group got to the ladder, she couldnt believe that Amaki had volunteered to stay down while everyone else went up. Actually she could believe it but she wasnt going to let that happen. Glaring at the woman she spoke quietly so only Amaki could hear her. "This new comer would trust me even if she wanted to. Not until she gets to know me. You go. Ill stay. Besides. I can tell when their coming and can manipulate the walls as necessary to buy some time." She said to her. Of course it probably wasnt the best thing to say to the woman but again, she didnt really care. All she cared about was getting all four of them out of the tunnel and to safety before her own well being.

Keir stared at Alanna and a gentle smile splayed on his lips. The girl had seemingly appeared out of nowhere, but that was usual for her. Keir glanced up to peer at her protectors, the men assigned by her father to watch her almost constantly. Keir understood why the guards had to be there, danger threatened Alanna’s life daily, albeit he still felt bad for her. If he had guards constantly following him around he would have most likely shot himself by now.

“Attempting to give your “friends” a heart attack, Princess?” Keir asked innocently, and gave a tiny wave to her guards. “And I’d rather you didn’t kick my shin. I’m still using it and knowing your strength I would be in need of a replacement.” He smiled down at Alanna and, if Keir had not been averse to touching, he would have patted her on the head.

“But it’s been awhile, Alanna. I haven’t seen you since…” Keir trailed off, and furrowed his brow. Was someone watching him? He looked around him, but did not notice anything out of the ordinary. The crowds were too thick to pinpoint anyone who would appear suspicious. Am I getting paranoid with age? It was a possibility. Although Keir looked incredibly young for his age—appearing more in his younger twenties—in actuality he was closer to thirty. He was disheartened to think he was growing old—after all he was as young and hip as he’s always been—so he shook the thought from his mind.

Keir coughed, and continued. “…since four months ago, right?” He then nodded at the still restless guards, confirming responsibility over Alanna’s safety; although Alanna hardly needed any help when it came to combat. He smiled at her and gestured towards the street in front of them.

“Why don’t we go for a walk?” he suggested. “The shops here are wonderful. I’ll treat you to anything you’d like.” If anyone was following them they would surely be able to lose them easily in the crowd. He still did not doubt that his feeing of being watched was purely a case of paranoia and paranoia alone, but, especially in this situation, it was much better to be safe than sorry.

Jack made his way outside after asking where the guards were last. The people he'd sent out were taking a bit too long for his liking. There was also the fact that they'd been patrolling outside the tunnels. It could be bad, and he'd sent some men to check things out. If anyone had been trying to sneak in, well.. They'd see what happened. He had looked through the cameras, and seen the missing people head outside for their patrol. Either they were dead by now, or held captive. He knew his men would never take That long of a break.

As he was walking outside, he looked around and scowled. There were two guards busy with a female not too far where he was from. Not close enough to listen though. The female was dressed for the weather. Shorts and a tank top, though with rather dark sunglasses. At least the guards were working. He had to wonder if he should go and deal with her. However, he was not well known as a higher officer to their enemies. Since he sometimes preferred to order around. The times he did go and fight, his enemies either died or conveniently forgot about him. He almost gave a mental shrug before heading over to them.

It was a rather good thing he had opted out of dressing up so formal today. The heat was almost unbearable this day. He did have the jacket, but it was currently lying on his shoulder, draped there when he had walked out of the meeting. He had on a black shirt under it, so it was a lot fresher than with the jacket. Once he reached the two guards and the girl, he raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Is there a problem here?" he asked calmly as he eyed the three. The boys looked as if ready to jump her. Good. She could be a distraction for them. "You two could go back to patrolling. I've finished my shift, so I'll escort her out." he offered. If she was a distraction, he needed the men to look around. He would just deal with the girl personally if need be.

Sione tried to hide a frown as the man stepped up, offering to take care of her. Take care of yourself, buddy, she thought, wishing she could just get into the town already. "I wasn't trying to cause any trouble," she said, her words honest. She hadn't been trying to cause any trouble today, anyways. "I was just heading into town and I thought I saw a hurt animal over here..." She indicated the area with a vague wave of her hand. "It's probably gone by now."

She peered at the boy through her sunglasses, unable to hide a slight frown. Who the hell was this? He wasn't even dressed in a uniform or anything, was he off his rocker? To her surprise, the men stepped away from her, giving her a nasty scowl before heading off. She turned her attention back to the male, waiting almost apprehensively for him to do something. After a moment, she forced herself to relax, even going as far as to slide her glasses off her face. She had to make it look like she had nothing to hide.

"I'm really sorry for the commotion," she said after a moment of silence. "I'll just be on my way-" she made a move to get past him, bowing her head slightly out of habit.

Jack watched her carefully with calculating eyes. He smirked a little, noticing her change in demeanor. He did notice that her direction of the 'hurt animal' was different from earlier. It was rather obvious that she was lying. "Hurt animal? Well.. They'll keep an eye out on it. No need to get your own life on the lie for it." he said simply. As the men went off to their ways, he started to walk toward her, intent on keeping his word. His eyes locked onto hers now that the sunglasses were off. As she tried to leave him, he grabbed her wrist firmly.

"You'll let me walk you out."
he stated firmly, a slight emphasis on his words as he reached into her mind to persuade her. Normally, people wouldn't even realize that he was messing with their mind. Unless he was asking for a gigantic favor or something. He smiled, almost smoothly. "I mean.. It is rather dangerous right now.. There's been an incident. Guards on edge. I'm heading out now." Even if she had been truthful, he wasn't taking any chances. He had to make sure she really was gone. And maybe even see if she was anyone of importance.

Sione's head jerked up as she felt his hand incircle her wrist, a frown on her face. "I have business to attend to-" she began, then blinked, leaning back a bit. Suddenly, she thought it would be a good idea to let him walk her out. She opened her mouth to agree, then hesitated; she needed to get into town. She knew that much.

"An... incident," she said slowly, looking up at him with inquisitive eyes. She wondered vaguely if the HEROs had gotten into the town and caused trouble. "What happened?" She looked up at him patiently, tilting her head to look up at him. He was at least a foot taller then her, and it was a little disconcerting. She looked down at her wrist and frowned slightly; the contact was a bit too much in the heat, even for her.

He looked at her cautiously. Curious to see if she had any resistance to his power. It worked enough to not have her run out. That was pleasing. She proved to be a tad bit better than the average human. "Nothing that is needed to be remembered. I'm not even sure. Not high enough to be trusted in the information." he said, trying to urge her to just think of it as a minor thing. He didn't need anyone to figure out that there was something wrong. It wasn't something to be concerned yet.

"We'll go now. And I will let you walk away once you're at a safe distance. You're safe with me." he urged, laying on another layer as he eyed her. Anything further than the truth actually. If he were any more sure that she was an enemy, she would have been dealt with swiftly. He let her wrist go after tugging her to start walking. "What is your name?" he asked. As they passed some more guards, they simply allowed him to pass with the girl.

Sione watched him, her eyes narrowed slightly. "If it's just a small incident, then I'm sure it'll be fine if I go into town," she said, one eyebrow raised. It wasn't that she didn't believe him; she was convinced that it was really just a small incident. It was more that she was damn determined to go into town, whether he liked it or not. Usually, she would have just turned and saved it for another day, but something was nagging at her. It was something she didn't like.

She followed him reluctantly, a small frown on hr face. "Lillian," she said in response to his question. She didn't trust him enough with her real name- something just wasn't right here, even though he said she was safe with him. Besides, it wasn't a lie; Lillian was her middle name. "You?" She took a few more steps, then stopped, looking back over her shoulder. She bit on her bottom lip, a frown tugging at her lips. She didn't care if the guards were giving her weird looks; something wasn't right. The most disturbing fact was how easily she trusted this man, this complete stranger; it was enough to set her on alert.

"Oh, you may go into town. But you may not be around here too much. Even if it's small.. Can always be a sign for something bigger." he commented with a shrug. He seemed fairly normal as he walked her along the grounds. He would stop using his power for now before he became tired out. It would just be really bad if he were weak and it came down to fighting. No way would he become tired in front of a random girl. Jack shifted his jacket to his other side to give his shoulder a small break from the heat. He did hate the damn sun. Any sort of heat he wasn't fond of.

She was a bit ill at ease with him, he could sense that much. "Lillian?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. If that was her real name, he was not sure. It was at least something, and he would call her as much. As for himself, he couldn't give her his name. It would probably alert anyone else. "Nick." he said, nodding his head politely. He gave her an alias. One he had invented for himself as a cover. They were going at a decent pace before she stopped abruptly. He frowned a little, a slight sign of irritation showing. "What are you doing?" he asked, sighing.

"I'm sorry," she said, wrinkling her nose slightly. She figured she would just have to try another day; it was going to be too much of a hassle to try and get away from this irritatingly persistant man. "I guess... it's just really hot," she said, giving him a small smile. She grabbed her sunglasses and slid them back on, her eyes disappearing behind the blackened shades.

"Nick," she said, her voice questioning. She arched an eyebrow, watching him carefully- she still didn't trust him, even though he seemed relatively harmless. "It's nice to meet you," she finally said, not wanting to seem rude. She fanned herself slightly with her hand with a sigh as she walked next to him. The heat was bothering her today, and she didn't understand why. She reached up and pulled off her hood without a thought, brushing her hair off of her forehead.

Jack nodded, a small scowl on his face. Looking up in the direction of the sun, he sighed. "It is a rather hot day. Hope it passes." he muttered, a slightly distasteful tone as he walked again. He did look back to make sure she was following. He did want to just run back inside into the nice, cool air conditioned building. However that would be completely unprofessional, and leave a bad impression on the others. If he couldn't stand a bit of heat, what kind of example would he be for the men? Not a very good one. And he would get slapped on with a silly title of not being able to stand the heat.

"Maybe some ice cream would do well today.. Or just a cool drink."
It seemed rather tempting. Normally he hated sweets however. Too sweet for him. His attention returned toward the female, and he nodded. "Same. Under the circumstances." He was surprised that her hair was so differently dyed. White with black. It didn't look so bad, but it stood out. Easy to spot sometimes. Maybe that was why she hid it with the hood. "Where is it you have to go?" he asked easily. He tried to keep the topic light, not to alarm her but to still be able to try and get some information out from her.

{Sorry guys a million and a half midterms lately. hopefully i can catch up today =]}

The auburn haired male did not make a sound as the new female approached. His steely gaze remained on her as she began to speak. There was no reason for him to speak. It was his job to address this people. His hands stayed firm in his knuckles if it need be. At the command to move he followed behind her. His honey eyes kept glancing at the new girl. Ross was a bit weary since he wanted Amaki and the other HEROs safe.

Once they arrived at the ladder he nodded when Amaki said she would go last. Again his honey eyes watched as Dae whispered in her ear. Shrugging the boy looked back towards them and approached the ladder. Rossen knew that his leader knew the best for them. Wrapping his hands around the ladder he looked towards her and climbed out.

HERO
Berk rolled his eyes. Being forced to obey her command was really starting to irk the male. He had no interest in being pushed along the path. If he was going to help, he wanted to volunteer, willingly.

Hands falling to his hips, Berk shook his head.

"No, I'm not going to do this."

Stepping away from the ladder, Berk bolted for the exit. Not looking back, the male keep his legs going at their steady speed. Moving further from he group, Berk could feel his face light up. So what if it was suicide leaving the group? It was suicide doing what they were.

When he landed at a crossroads, Berk looked about frantically. Picking a path that looked to be the "most appealing," he continued his sprinting. As the light from to the exit started to approach, Berk slowed to a nice canter. His feet eventually came to an even walking pace.

Walking out into the opening, Berk found himself lost in what appeared to be a forest.

The snapping sound of a twig came, which caused the male to jump forward toward a looming cliff. Half tempted to scale the rocks, Berk held his ground, waiting to see what was around the bend.

Rebeliance
Shoot. I'm making too much noise. Perhaps I should tighten this lace? But dare I look like I fool before Pho?

Shaking his head, Kaine bent to tie his laces. As his fingers danced between the holes, his eyes landed on something before them - a pair of boots.

Stepping backwards, Kaine placed his hands on the weapon the hung at his side. Just as he pulled the large fan out, he stopped to laugh.

"Dammit, Berk. I almost sliced your head off." His eyes scolded the male. "But, since you're here and all, I guess I should introduce you to my lady, Pho."

Giving a slight bow, Kaine presented Pho to his beloved friend. "Pho, this is my good friend Berk. He's the one I was telling you about." Eying his queer looking friend, Kaine placed a hand on his hips.

"What are you doing?"

"Disobeying orders. The HEROs are going to get me killed, so I left 'm."

"Oh really? What are they doing?"

"Not too sure. I know they're going into the city via the tunnels, but I feel like we're playing right into the la'Sinne trap. I really... well, I feel like it's going to be a real... pitfall."

"Your gut has always been right. If you feel like they're falling for a good ol' la'Sinne ploy... odds are, they are. Perhaps," he said turning to Pho, "it was a good idea to hold back."

"Heh, that's what I do if I were a Rebeliance soldier. I'd wait for the HEROs to fall. With the HEROs getting their asses handed to them, you could come in and crush the la'Sinne. They're too worried about us HEROs to give a damn about your tactics."

"What side are you on, Berkykins?"

"The living side."

A laugh came from Kaine as he tilted his head toward Pho. "My lord, what say you? Should we wait to strike a blow to the heart of the la'Sinne? Or should we continue to hang back?" His keen eyes suggested that they hold back, as he saw no use in dying this earlier on. It had been close to a week since the last massacre, and he knew that their numbers were running low. With only five HEROs and a few hundred Rebeliance Soldiers, Kaine grew skeptic of a successful war. The only way the Rebeliance could win would be by sheer willpower and sly tactics.

la'Sinne
"What's this? Is my Keiry-poo... paranoid?" Glaring at his shin, Alanna gave a little whimper. "But I really wanna give you a piece of my mind, Keiry-poo! You left me! You could have been my guardian. But, noooooo. You decided to be a royal goof-up and ruin everything! Are you even a soldier anymore? I heard you were fired. F-I-R-E-D!"

Crossing her arms across her flattish chest, she chuckled. "But don't you worry, Alanna will hire you. Here," pulling out a single gold coin, she popped it toward him. "That's your first payment. NOW BUY ME CANDY!!!!!"

Latching herself onto his leg, Alanna gave the male her typical princess-puppy-eyes. Cooing as she rubbed her cheeks against his legs, Alanna could be hear purring. But this little act was just that, an act. For with each head rub, she shifted her eyes about the alleyways and through the sea of people. She, too, knew something was off. Something was really off, and it wasn't her stalkerish guards this time around.

Rising, Alanna put her hand in his. "You can buy me candy." She stepped forward and practically dragged the man down the path toward the candy shop.

With her eyes giddy and seemingly unobservant, Alanna elbowed the male just hard enough to get him to look at her. Keeping her lips still, she spoke. "Something ain't right. I feel like we're being watched. When the time comes, I'll slow speed and we'll nail the little creep, m'kay?"

FREE-FLOATER

Kazuma sighed, they both seemed normal enough for the city people, but he still couldn't sake the feeling that he had about the male, he looked around once more, glad that he was blending in even if he stole the things that he was wearing, the only other bad thing was he had to talk more which he hasn't done in a while.

They girl was actting as if she were five in his opinion, clinging to the man's leg and talking about candy, it was more or less boring, he sighed heavily andstayed in his hidden spot, blending in with the crowd. He was far enough away that he wouldn't be noticed but close enough so as he could follow them, he wantted to know more about them.

The only upside about him was that he did not belong to any group, he was his own group and that was what made him safe, it was the one thing that made sure he was not going to get involve with the fight that is trying to break out. A person bumped into him,he automatically grabbed them and growled into their face for a few minutes as he looked them over before pushing them away and turnning his attention back to the two that he had been watching.

Rebeliance

Sione opened her mouth to reply, then snapped it shut, pausing. Wait, what did she tell him? There hadn't been a contingency plan for if she got caught- maybe she was getting too confident in her abilities. "Ah... I was just running some errands," she said casually. "I heard there were some new merchants in town and wanted to check out the deals." She tucked her hands into her pockets, hoping he didn't hear the catch in her voice. She could be a convincing actor, if she tried, but it didn't work on people who were looking for something. And she got strange vibes from this guy.

Now would be a great time to show up and save my rear, guys, she thought, wondering just where Pho and Kane were as she glanced at "Nick".

HERO

Amaki was really growing tired to Daeman's refusal to listen to her and she knew that she was going to have to say something to the girl before things got too out of hand. With a sigh and thin-lined lips, she stepped towards the ladder, at least she knew where they were going is what she had to remind herself as to going first. Just as she placed her hand on one of the rungs, Berk, the new guy spoke up. He was bolting; closing her eyes, the girl turned in time to see his figure running in the far off distance.

"Leave him," was all she said at first before turning her back towards the group once again. Her hand was on the rung once again, her boot soon following. "He found us once, he can find us again. We can't go running after him and risk all of us getting caught." Her tone was bored and tired, she really wanted to get back to the shop and get everything and everyone settled in from there.

Hoisting her body up the ladder, she moved the cover, which on the topside was a straw covered rug that was in a deserted building near the outskirts of town, farthest from la'Sinne head quarters. People rarely, if ever, traveled this far. From what she knew from data gathering from the others, the soldiers rarely patrolled these parts even. Apparently it helps to have some disease wipe out a bunch of people in one part of town. Once on ground, she moved to the side to allow the others up; from here everyone would have to follow their roles as usual.

HERO

Listening to the other girl HERO tell the obvious leader to go first Dashna frowned. She frowned harder when one of the guys ran off down the tunnel. Was he stupid? It was more or less suicide to break away from the group. She knew what it was like to be alone and it was hard. Dash would rather be with this group of people she didn't know then be alone.

Grabbing the rungs Dashna began to pull herself up. She went as quick as she could wanting to be out of there. Once she got to the top she grabbed the edges and hoisted herself out. Blinking she looked over to the leader and waited for instructions.

HERO

Daeman knew that she was being a little bit of a spoiled brat or something like that but it at least got them somewhere now. She was their leader, but it hadnt always been that way. It use to be just Amaki and her. It had use to be the two of them versus the la'Sinne. How was it that they had finally gotten the other three when they had just tried to infiltrate the la'Sinne base?

Berk started to run away from the pack making Daeman start to run after him, but when Amaki said to leave him, she decided to at least listen to this command. WHat happened to her treating her like a friend? Once everyone was finally up the ladder, Daeman climbed up as well. She still wanted to go after Berk but there was technically nothing she could do. It was time for them to get out of here. If the new guy wanted to commit suicide she was fine with that.

al'Sinne

Keir flinched at his nickname of “Keiry-poo”. Not only was it a name Keir disliked, but if Alanna was calling him by that it meant that she was really upset at him. “That hurts, Princess,” he told her, but in such a nonchalant way that it was undeterminable whether his words were true or not. “It’s true I messed up, but I wasn’t fired… just knocked down a few pegs. Although I might as well have been seeing how upset your father was with me.”

He smirked as Alanna crossed her arms and looked at him. Her actions made him feel as if he was the naughty son being scolded by his mother. He caught the gold coin she tossed at him easily with a single gloved hand. “I don’t think your father would approve you hiring a man he demoted personally,” he said and chuckled.

Keir stiffed noticeably as Alanna latched herself onto his leg. He disliked being touch, not only by her, but by anyone in general, and the fact that he had known her for almost Alanna’s entire life did not change a thing. Just as he was contemplating a good way to get her off of him she released him.

Not even a moment later she grabbed him again and dragged him towards the candy shop. Then Alanna elbowed him, knocking a bit of Keir’s breath out of him. She really did not know her own strength. She then mentioned what Keir had noticed only moments earlier: they were being watched. He felt a bit glad that someone else had noticed it. Now he knew it wasn’t purely paranoia. “So you’ve noticed, huh?” Keir said as he rubbed the spot where Alanna had elbowed him; putt off by the pain and physical contact. Keir, controlling himself, swiftly but softly slipped his arm from Alanna’s grasp. Unconsciously, he shifted his position so he could put a few inches of space in between them. “I understand. Make sure you get the right guy though,” he teased and smiled slightly.

Keir skimmed the crowd as they headed to the candy shop. There seemed to be nothing out of the ordinary, but then his eyes met with another’s. The person’s eyes were cobalt blue and wild; they reminded Keir of an animal’s. Almost immediately the crowd swarmed and seemed to swallow the person up. Keir wanted to turn his head and look back to search for the person as they passed, but if the person was the guy watching them then Keir could not risk making the watcher believe he was seen. Keir would have to wait for another chance.

He stared at the candy shop before them. Luckily for them it was a small shop nestled at the end of the street. There the crowd was much less prominent and the watcher would have to either enter the shop or watch in an area where there would not be enough of a crowd to protect him from view. Keir and Alanna needed to isolate the watcher and this was the perfect place to do it.

Keir swung opened the door to the candy shop. "Princess," he said, giving her a slight mock bow and gesturing to her to enter the shop.

la'Sinne

She stopped paying attention to everything when the words "Make sure you get the right guy" came out of his mouth. Whatever was he referring to? It was evident that Alanna's clock was thinking of something else. Her face flushed a bright red color and her feet wobbled some as she let her mind run free with the thought of marrying Keir.

Keir had been the guy she grew up. Wasn't it natural for her to fall head over feet for him? He was witty, charming, and, most importantly, single. Now her father did have this rage toward him, but he knew Alanna loved him dearly. Demotion came due thanks to Alanna. Had see not overheard the actual charge, Keir would be without a head.

Thinking of that news, Alanna's eyes watered. Her fists balled up and she felt the flood of tears come on. Bursting out into a fit of sobs, Alanna turned away from the male and ran off into the crowd.

As she ran past the people, she could feel her heart sink. Had her father, the ruler, actually killed Keir, which he planned to do, Alanna would have killed herself. To Alanna, life without Keir was not life. In fact, it was death. Keir was her life and she would go to the end of the world for that man. Too bad he was unaware of her devotion.

With all the crying, Alanna didn't realize she had run straight into the arms of her nanny. Cooing to the whimpering child, the nanny stroked Alanna's hair.

"Princess, why are there tears on your pink cheeks?"

"Daddy wanted my Keir dead. I can't think of him being dead."

"Keir's not dead. He's right over there. But you ran away from him. He's probably worried. Maybe you should return to him?"

"Who am I kidding? He doesn't love me. He doesn't even like me...."

"Has that ever stopped you before? Remember, you can marry whoever you want. Just tell your father, and you can be wed off to Keir tomorrow."

"Really?" Her eyes dried up some as she looked into the soft spoken woman's face.

"Of course. Keir might not be of royal blood, but since you like him, and you're daddy's little girl, you can have any man you want." Patting Alanna's head, the woman spun her around. "Why don't you go plant one on him?"

The world's largest smile then appeared on Alanna's face. Her eyes lit up and sparkled much like Edward Cullen's skin in broad daylight. Giddy as hell, Alanna made a bee-line for Keir. Half-skipping and half-dancing, Alanna was soon standing before the poor guy again.

Bouncing off her tip-toes, Alanna laid a gentle kiss on Keir's left cheek. "You and I will be married one day. M'kay?" Folding her hands behind her back, Alanna's face turned pink. Even with embarrassment setting in, Alanna was overjoyed that she was going to spend the rest of her life with Keir (whether or not he wanted it, might I add).
