I read all of Micah by Laurell K. Hamilton last night. It was an easy read since it was only 245 pages long. It was sort of like a short side story to the series. I hope to read two more book by this week so I'll be able to read the newest one in the series coming out next week. XD

I've wanted to read Prozac Nation for quite some time. Is it any good? I picked up Bitch last year, but Wurtzel rambled a lot in that book.

I'm also interested in reading The Uglies, but I've never ended up with a handy copy over the weekend. :P

Would you recommend either?

How did you like the series? I stopped reading after naked empire, I just got really bored - and I hated skipping pages because of the detailed violence.
I loved the overall story and thats why I kept reading...

I finished Good Omens about twenty minutes ago, and it's now remember as one of my all-time favorite books to read! X3

I'll eventually be looking into their other works, if anyone has any specific titles to recommend? XD

Alright!
*rubs hands together*
Now that the event is over and I can breath again, it's time for some housekeeping.

I'll be going through the last few pages and adding everyone's reading list to the master list on the front page. When I'm all done, I'll post again. If I missed your list, or spelled your name wrong, or linked the wrong list to the wrong name, then just give me a poke and I'll fix it.

Edit:
All done!

Ayaji, I actually found that you've made two lists. Your original one can be found here. Please continue to update that post. I've edited the additional information out of your second and added it your first, that way you aren't gaining two times the gold for it.

If I post only part of a reading list, and then post the other half later without reposting the items from first post, is that OK, Knerd?

Well, why would you want to?

Only the first half will be linked to on the front page. Most users edit that first post as they go along, and post a little announcement that their list has been added to. That way you can keep track of everything all in one place, and anyone who's interested just has to look at the main index to find your entire list.

Yep, that's what it's there for!
One easy click, and you can find your list or anyone else's list in just a second. It's a bit easier than digging through all the pages every time you want to make an update.

@Lura - I personally haven't gotten round to reading Pratchett's other books. @~@ But all the people I know who like him seem to collect an awful lot of him, so I think he must be pretty good all round.

As for Gaiman, depends what you're looking for; I want to read his couple of short story collections... but I also want to read Stardust (though the movie made me want to dash my head against something - I'll blame the screenplay writer for that), and people really rate the Sandman series. : ) Movie-wise, MirrorMask is just... wow. I have to get my copy back off the media studies/English teacher/tutor. x3 It's set near where I live.

I hate libraries.

>>;
Well, no I don't, but...
I wen to the library today, and I copied down my to-read book list...
But I couldn't find A SINGLE BOOK ON THAT LIST.

I mean, I checked the online catalog, and most of them weren't even checked out, but I don't know the difference between YA and Fiction, and I'm confused about even what a branch is. >>;
I don't know what ... what...
It's like... being processed or something? It's not checked out and it's not not checked out... XP;
Libraries are so confusing. T______T;;;

I ended up getting a pile of books, but not a single one of them was on my to-read list.

I end up buying all my books since I too have issues finding what I -want- to read in a library. .-. Most of the time they're just not organized right and the books end up floating into the wrong areas and get lost till someone notices they don't belong wherever they are. ><;;;

@ kearin:
Haha.
I mostly only buy my books if it's something I think I'll read often; otherwise, I'd get it from my library. :3

See, I have an older brother who has a lot of books... and has only read all of them... once, if at all. ; o ;

It makes me tear up to see all those books go to waste. :<
I've reread most of my books around... 2-6 times, depending on how much I like it. >w<

And besides, I don't want to waste money buying a book if I'm only going to read it once and have it sit on my bookshelf for eternity, you know? ^^;

I just started and finished reading Comes a Horseman by Robert Liparulo today. I have to say, if you liked Dan Brown's Angels and Demons, you'd probably like this. And if you're a christian you'd probably like it better, it's written from christian's perspective. It was a really good read, its about a two FBI teammates who are invistigating what they believe to be a serial killer's murders...it ends up being a lot more about schemings and an insane man who believes he is the Anti-Christ.
So if you like that kind of story, you should check it out. I think I read it in about 3 hours or so.

tentenpuff:If you have any library questions feel free to ask me. I can give you some tips on how to peruse a library. Next time you go, ask a librarian for some help. You can also have them place the books you want on hold, and they will find the books for you and have them for you the next time you come in.
I work as a Page at a library. I pretty much know my library like the back of my hand.
