No one gets beat up here. I've been going to this college for 2 years and no one's ever gotten beat up before.

@ Uzura - I guess just asking them politely to remember that the universe doesn't revolve around them wouldn't work? If it helps you feel better, we have dogs on each side of our house that bark constantly. They're great for an alarm system, but not so much at 3AM when there's a possum outside.

I had a grandpa who'd devote an entire suitcase to candies and chocolate when he visited us.
But he's gone now...rest his soul.
He did bring some darn good chocolate- good times, good times. =]

When my grandpa was alive, he'd always share his jolly ranchers with me. He'd put them in the freezer, so once you put one in your mouth, it would get all crackly and fall apart so the whole thing would get stuck to your teeth or something. When he died, my "inheritance" was all of his left over jolly ranchers. xD

Yeah, they were. All I have now is one grandmother, but she's a wonderful woman. Which reminds, me I need to call her and thank her for the chocolates. It's so hard to get in contact with her because most of the time she's helping out at her church.

That's great that she's stays active. I think my grandmother was able to keep up with everything until she was nearly 90. She taught people how to paint on porcelain and china.

Happy almost Valentine's Day! It's also Friday the 13th - what an auspicious day.

I know, lol. I chuckled at the date too, strange that it should be the 13th just before V-day, or otherwise known as "Single Awareness Day". Or for my fiance and I, the 14th of February. We don't celebrate it really.

I like that! Less fattening. I swear that I'm totally happy with candy. I don't need jewelry or flowers. Candy. Or cookies.

Is anyone doing anything special to celebrate Valentine's Day? I think we're cleaning the house.

I might make dinner tomorrow night, since he made delicious spaghetti last night, but I don't know what to make yet. Usually spaghetti is my special dish, since I don't cook often. I burn a lot of stuffs. >.<

I melted a plastic spoon once while boiling water. Had to teach myself to cook or starve. Got really skinny there for a while!

Lol. Yeah...burned the pan once boiling water....I have a problem with forgetting about stuff...like brownies in the oven....sauce on the stovetop....Metal spoon in the saucepan....O.O

Been there too! Last week, had meatloaf in the oven, left to take care of the baby, and my daughter told me that the meatloaf was on fire - flames in the oven. Not quite, at least not by the time I came into the kitchen. Just that the meatloaf was on the large side and grease from the meat was pouring out and onto the heating element in the oven. Lots of sizzling, but the apparent crisis was averted.

But... I did leave a pan on the stove with it still on a high setting, and there were flames. Totally destroyed the pot, but nothing else. You're not alone!

I'm so scatterbrained sometime. I just know one night I'm going to be making a pie or something and end up burning down the house in my sleep.

We were pretty close to having a real fire a couple of times. Just been really lucky.
