((Sweet. Thanks :D))

Thaddeus awoke to the cool feeling of the icy air he lived in. He didn't sleep for as long as he thought he might. But then about, since sleeping wasn't exactly natural for him, it tended to never be the same each time. Sleeping was actually a sort of vanity for Thaddeus. Like eating chocolate for a mortal. It wasn't something you needed, just something you wanted. And it felt good.

As Thaddeus sat up in his luxurious bed and stretched, the used his connection to the castle to find all three women of his house. They all were in the room of the girl who had been deathly ill. But she was no longer. Aurora's healing ways must have helped her. He wondered how much about herself Aurora had shared. There was a good possiblilty that she had not told the other two women of the magix that aided her. They probably only knew of her healing. And that wasn't bad. Let's just hope that none of the other two had a thing against necromancers.

With a snap of his fingers, Thaddeus dressed himself in a dark black and navy-blue traditional vampiric outfit, as per usual. Thaddeus found this style very comfortable. With a glass of bloodwine in his hand, Thaddeus set off to find his guests.

The time was still early-ish evening. The crystal walls of Thaddeus' palace still glowed with it's internal light. He had only found out about this power of his palace about a thousand years ago. To most that would seem like a very long time about, but for Thaddeus it was near nothing. What really boggled him was how long it had taken him to find out about the glow. He had stumbled upon in on accident, really. There had been a smile child here at one point, afraid of fire and that was Thaddeus' only source of light. The palace heard Thaddeus' wishes and began to glow to show the way. From then on, Thaddeus had used that instead of candles and flame to light his home.

He was done with his bloodwine when he got to the young girl's room. A servant took away his glass and he breathed in the cold air. Three women, two of which he liked, were in the room before him. He wondered how Guinevere felt about meeting the other two girls. He would find out soon enough. He knocked on the door and waited for a response.

A man looked up from the edge of his heavy hood just enough to notice the dimming sky and the sun setting far away in the distance. The color of the sky was truly beautiful, with its purples and oranges tinting the skyline ever so slightly, and the warm glow it cast on the snowy horizon was something that greatly pleased the man; it made his harsh trip very rewarding for the night.

But may the Heavens damn this frosty wind! It bit him to the bone! He clutched his long, wooden staff with frozen fingers, and he didn't think he was ever going to be able to uncurl them again. And along with the beauty of the falling sun, the man took note that if he didn't find shelter by nightfall, he would be a frozen corpse lost forever in a blanket of snow and ice. He was determined to walk on.

The closest village was quite eager to tell him of this phantom castle. A good bit of people were even able to say their ancestors had been there! And oh, the stories they told the traveling man, he could hardly convince himself not to wander out into no-man's land. But boy was he regretting now! A frozen tundra is no place for a sun-loving creature like him!

But onward he urged his feet to go, one step after another, head down to shield his face from the wind and ice. Though his large coat was made from leather and fur, it hardly did much to keep the cold away. And just when the man was beginning to think he walked his way willingly to his death, his staff hit a door.

Needless to say, the man was very confused. He placed a gloved hand against the heavy oak door, and sighed with a hint of despair. The poor tree had to stand guard in this god forsaken place, far away from its natural home. But the man had to move on, so he pushed the door aside, passed the gate, and entered onto the grounds of what he assumed was the phantom castle.

So the place exists after all! The traveler was quite surprised to have found it before dying, but he was just thankful that he was close to shelter. And before his knew it, he had come onto another wooden door, much like the one he had passed. He gratefully leaned himself up against it, palms pressed flat and his cheek resting onto the frozen wood. He thanked his friend for the opportunity and privilege to live another day, and opened the door.

On any other occasion, or in warmer weather, the man would have had to manners to knock on the front door and wait to have permission to enter. But he thought the time had passed for manners. After all, it is better to ask for forgiveness, than to ask permission; but he did have the sense to close the door behind him. He was so grateful to be out of the wind and snow, that he dropped to his knees and half laughed at himself. He propped himself up into a sitting position and pushed his dark hood off his head, revealing a bold color of red hair. As he gazed at the pristine and noble looking palace around him, his jaw dropped in awe of how it all seemed to be made of crystal or ice, yet was as warm as a spring morning to him.

Valenoir was pleased to find, at least, a temporary shelter.

((But long is awesome! Welcome to the RP!))

Thaddeus felt the man enter the palace. A man... he thought. This would change things about just a small bit. Thaddeus was least to say, excited.

Turning quickly and hoping his knock was quiet enough to ignore, Thaddeus turned form the door and headed down towards the main hall where the man now leaned against his crystal walls. The earthy smell that quickly entered Thaddeus' nose told the king that this man was that of earth. What exactly he was, Thaddeus could not tell yet. He wasn't close enough.

With a wave of his hand as he turned a corner, Thaddeus' clothes changed yet again into his kingly attire of ice and snow. But this time, the cold seemed to seep off him in waves, like dry ice. That, was his cape. The rest was as it had been before. Light, icy blue, with sapphire gems, silver accents, and only slightly darker blues. Thaddeus looked almost as pale as his servants, and was almost as invisible. What jumped out was the intensity of his eyes. Those, could not, would not, be unseen. They were much too bright, too intense, to be mistaken for something that wasn't there. Unless, you thought you were dreaming of course.

Thaddeus reached the main hall and throne room only minutes after leaving for it. The man he had felt enter was leaning up against the wall near the door, breathing thankfully. Thaddeus was still out of sight, but he could smell the man clearly now. An Earth Elemental of powerful proportions. A Dryad. There were very few male Dryads left in the world. Thaddeus smiled. This was going to be very interesting. He wondered if the man knew what he was.

"Welcome," Thaddeus began as he walked out of hiding, "To the Crystal Palace." and he stepped to be in front of the male Dryad. The king extended a welcoming hand towards the man and smiled warmly.

Valenoir gave a jump as his heart leaped and skipped a beat from the sudden introduction. What a quick master of the house! Appearing from the walls like that! The Earth Elemental couldn't help but think that was a bit rude to scare someone like that, but he just took it to be unintentional and left the thought behind.

Quickly, he began to scramble to his feet, careful not to kick his staff away from him, and did his best to dust off the snow from his overgrown coat. His instinct was to bow deeply first, at the waist and he did so, showing his respect the easiest way he could. He then straightened up, and pondering over the pale hand extended to him, finally took the hint and grasped it in his own, gloves still on. He was charmed by the King's smile, and so smiled in return.

"Thank you, my good sir."
Was all he could manage to spit out at the moment. Valenoir could finally look at his greeter, and was a bit stunned by what his eyes met. This man looked like he was a part of the castle; all blues and whites about him, with daring and intense blue eyes he had never seen before. They demanded attention. The traveler dared to take a quick look about him, and noticed that a cold air was seeping just behind him! Valenoir couldn't help but think that he had met a creature the total opposite of himself; an Ice Elemental.

"You have quite an impressive and intimidating look about you. Would I be correct in saying you are the Lord of this place?"
The dryad had a habit of being forward and blunt with his thoughts and speech.

Thaddeus continued to smile. This man was already an interesting creature. When he took Thaddeus' hand, the king felt the ages behind this man. He was old. Not in a bad way, though. The newcomer had years and wisdom of those years behind him. Much older than the other three guests in his palace. At least, that was how it felt.

"And my thanks to you," he said in return to the man's compliment, "And yes, you would be correct to say that. I am King Thaddeus LeDroll. And you, good sir?" he asked, leading to man out of the main hall to a warmer place where he could thaw out. The earth element wasn't made to freeze.

It was a very short walk from the main hall to the lounge. In this time, the king took in the looks of his new guest. His hair was a sort of bold, rusty-red. His eyes were a light blue and his not pale, but not quite tan. He looked strong, but then again, the gigantic coat was getting in Thaddeus' way of seeing truly the rest of this man's features. I'll just have to wait, then. he thought and he opened the door to the lounge.

The lounge Thaddeus led this man into was very earthy in color. Golds, greens, and browns. Of all shades and colors. The furniture was lower to the ground, and the fireplace was small but hot. Thaddeus showed the man over to one of the seats closer to the fire. There were four chairs in the room, all facing the fire, with a small and round coffee table between them and the fire.

The dryad was quite stunned by how the King took the lead without much to say. Before he knew it, he was being led by the hand down a hall and into a new room before he could even answer the question posed to him. The King’s voice and tone were something to admire, for it was warm despite his cold appearance; it comforted him, knowing that this noble seemed to care about someone so different from him.
“I am called Valenoir, King Thaddeus.” He tried to not sound so confused about the situation, for this was the most eager Valenoir was ever ushered into a place! It was as if Thaddeus was waiting to entertain. But all thought was lost on the Earth spirit again when the doors were open on the beautiful sitting room. He smiled so widely at the colors, for they just weren’t colors he preferred, they were memories for him. These colors brought out a light for Valenoir, and it was much needed from his travel.
But this room confused him too. Judging from Thaddeus’s own apparel and the rest of the palace, this design didn’t suit him at all. Was he expecting Valenoir the whole time? Was it dressed like this to please every traveler? The dryad had a feeling that this man was able to do more than he previously expected. Oh he knew Elementals were gifted in the unexplainable, and could do pretty much whatever they pleased, but where were the limits? Probably none.
Valenoir turned his head to look at his host, trying to convey his appreciation through his eyes. “This is a beautiful room, your Majesty.” And with that said, he couldn’t keep himself away from the fire any longer. He took the liberty to enter freely and walk ahead of the Ice Man, his eyes never leaving the flickering flames. He began to unhook the front of his coat and slid it down his arms. He tried to place it on the back of a chair as neatly as possible without having to stop. He decided to hell with the chairs, he was going to sit right in front of the blaze, and he did so.
Oh this was what his body needed! Funny, how a fire would have scared him many, many years ago, but he had learned to respect it, and even to love it in the colder lands. Valenoir sat himself on the ground before it, closed his eyes, and relaxed as the heat melted away the unseen layer of cold that wrapped his body. He hummed with satisfaction.
“Forgive me for being so rude, your Majesty. But I am sure you understand my appreciation and eagerness.” He looked back to Thaddeus, a big and silly smile on his face, and he nodded his head with thanks towards him.

Thaddeus smiled as the man told the king his name and smiled even more when he left to sit by the fire. His movement was graceful and almost fluid, but held the sort of stockiness of the trees. Once the large and thick coat was off the Dryad's body, Thaddeus took those few seconds to take in Valenoir's looks. He seemed strong, and able. Travel-worn, of course, but not just from this journey. So the king guessed this man was a traveler at heart. Then again, it was all a guess.

Valenoir went right to the fire and Thaddeus watched as the warmth thawed away the cold from his new guest's bones, "Thank you," the king finally answered to Valenoir's comment on the beauty of the room. He was glad that it struck the man well. Now he felt welcomed, warm, and at home. Always that was Thaddeus' goal, "I try to make each room fit for the guest in it." he explained.

Not too much longer after that, Valenoir apologized for what he must have thought bad manners. Thaddeus chuckled lightly and shook his head, "Please, don't worry. I understand where you're coming from. How long were you in the cold, speaking of?" he asked curiously, summoning his servants discreetly to bring the man an herbal tea. Thaddeus guessed that might be what he usually drank. Then again, it was all guessing.

In this short period of time, Thaddeus' clothes had changed yet again. Back to the rich Victorian styles and slowly a dark navy-blue bled into the lighter ice blues so to turn the cloth said color. There was no longer a cape, and now what stood out about Thaddeus was his pale, vampiric skin, his platinum-blond hair and his icy eyes. His eyes standing out all the more now. Almost glowing with the firelight.

Valenoir had leaned himself against the round table now, trying to find a comfortable way to prop himself up. He had just caught a glimpse of a fleeting figure, and by his elbow he notice a pretty cup sitting on the table. He took a quick glance around, but only found the King in the room. This noble's servants were trained very well in serving without commotion.

"Oh, I was only about for two days." He mused as he looked over to teacup and its contents. He brought it up to his nose and inhaled the deep scent it had. He had not grown a taste for many foods, his main source of energy coming from the sun and the light, but during his travels he had come to appreciate the many foods that humans and the like could come up with. The variety amused and surprised him all the time. "More like a day hand a half though, your Majesty. I took out around noon the day before, and had the misfortune of spending a night outside." He sipped his beverage in leisure, and a rolling warmth filled him up inside as he felt the tea run down his throat and insides. He smiled gingerly.

When the dryad looked up to his host, he noticed that the man had managed to change clothes without his notice! He cocked his head in confusion and awe and gave a vague up and down gesture with his free hand at the ice elemental."How are you able to do that? Changing your clothes? If you don't mind me asking, your Majesty." He added hastily.

And then he waved his hand in a motion for Thaddeus to come deeper into the room, and patted the table he was leaning against. "Please converse with me over here; I don't like talking across the room. You have welcomed me here most graciously and I rather us not be so distant." He took another happy sip of tea. "I hope you don't find be overbearing, your Majesty." Valenoir noticed he might have been speaking out of term, and made sure to apologize for it.

The two girls seemed to have quieted down. Giving Aurora a slight reason to leave the room. She did not want to leave, only wishing to stay and speak with the two ladies, but they both seemed busy. Just as Aurora would have mentioned something, she felt Thaddeus wake from him slumber. And smoothly make his way towards the ladies. Although at a rather slow rate. She looked down momentary, realizing her arms were showing, and nonchalantly pulled her sleeves back down. Being sure the two younger ladies in the room had not scene the scars. That would have not been very good.

A knock came to the door, Although Guinevere and Selena did not seem to notice. Thaddeus stood there for a few seconds, just before Aurora would have gotten the door, he walked away. Not that it was much of a big deal since there seemed to be another presence now. Aurora looked to the two girls. "I am going to take my leave. I have a bit of work to finish up. It is wonderful speaking with you both." Aurora said to them both. Making a short curtsy before leaving the room.

Aurora headed down the glowing halls hearing talking from just down the hall. One that belonged to a man, and the other to Thaddeus. She would of coarse leave them be to speak. She took a turn down a hall, heading towards her room. Although Aurora stopped in front of a grand window. One that it seemed was more than three times and a half tall as she stood. It had a beautiful view of the court yard. Aurora smiled a bit. Knowing it would be freezing out there, but it wasn't like she would die any how.

The Necromancer, following the map she had stolen from Thaddeus's mind, found a door to lead her outside. There was a path, as well as a garden. The garden was filled with plants, but they were frozen over in a thinned layer of ice. Giving the plants a slight crystal appearance. Wearing barely any winter clothes, Aurora sure as hell felt the chill, but ignored it since it would only slow her down. The cold did not harm her after all. Even though to any on lookers, her appearance would get a very hypothermic look to it. She walked the path, careful of her footing, though stopped when she found a blue rose. Something even Aurora had scene once before, and even though it was probably rude to do, she went to pick it. Finding a thorn right away and pricking her finger. "That was arrogant.." The Necromancer said to herself. Narrowing her eyes a bit at small blood bubble sprouting at the tip of her finger.

((Sorry for not posting. Had a sort of writers block XP But I'm back now! School started, so I'll mostly be posting on the weekend or near the end of the day :D))

Thaddeus listened to Valenoir's story of his travel to the king's palace and smiled. Curiosity could be very helpful for all. Thaddeus was quite the fan of curiosity. The king watched as the Dryad sipped at his tea, and he could see the change from cold to warm. It was something that came with Thaddeus' connection with the cold. He could see it come and go as easily as he could make it come and go himself.

Thaddeus was brought out of his wandering thoughts when Valenoir commented on his clothes. The vampire smiled, "Magic, my good sir." he explained, "With a realm like this, being able to change every environment is a plus." he added. As he spoke an invisible servant brought him a glass of bloodwine and he sipped at it as per usual.

When Valenoir asked Thaddeus to come join him his smile only grew, "You're not overbearing at all, Valenoir. No worries." he said as she gracefully stood and walked the few steps it took to stand near the table, "It's a pleasure to sit near my guests." and he settled himself gracefully on the small carpet before the fire and leaned his back on the table. He had placed his glass of bloodwine on the table before sitting.

"So tell me, Valenoir, I can tell by your scent you travel quite a lot. Where in the world have you been?"
the king asked curiously, blue crystal eyes glimmering oddly in the firelight. And his statement had been true. Valenoir smelled of something that didn't stay in one place. Almost like Aurora. There was a small similarity. And Thaddeus had lived long enough to figure these small tid-bits of scent form one another.

((Hi guys! SO sorry for not replying. I haven't really had that much time lately.))
Selena watched the healer go. She wasn't surprised, really. No one wanted to spend time with her. She was too young around here, while all the others were grown and experienced. She found herself reaching for her hair and undid the knot. She casually picked up a brush and began to brush it, although each stroke brought searing pain. After exactly 100 strokes, she set the comb down and looked up at Guinevere.

"I guess it's just you and me then." Guinevere nodded slowly. Something was bothering her. Then Selena felt it too. A strange disturbance. Suddenly, the power overwhelmed her and she crumpled to her knees, her hands reaching for the care of the healer. But Selena fell over before Guinevere could get to her and she hit her head hard against the bed post.

A mind lost in thoughts allowed Guinevere to miss the knock at the door and only gave the necromancer, Aurora a simple nod of her head acknowledging her decision to leave. Only to stay and watch the ailing girl Selena brush her hair it what seemed to be pain. Something Guinevere could not understand which threw her deeper into an uneasy thought and didn't realize what happened next.

Guinevere let out a monotone sigh as the girl, Selena, fell to her knees and tipped over into the bed post. The sound left a sinking feeling in Guinevere's stomach, it had all happened so fast.

With unladylike strength she easy picked Selena up in her arms and gently laid the girl upon her bed in a position she thought looked comfortable. Finished getting her situated on the bed Guinevere slowly looked over the girls head, then with a gentle a touch a soft glow emerged from Guinevere's pale hand as she healed Selena's head. Once she fixed as much she could Guinevere quickly brought her hand to her mouth so she could muffle her coughs. Not being a true healer left Guinevere in a poor state after she assisted someone.

Another sigh escaped her lips as she held her head that was producing a dull throbbing pain. To ignore the effects Guinevere decide a little shut eye wouldn't harm her any. It was just getting back to her room that would ensue some difficulties. Then Selena seemed to need some rest, seeing as moving only caused her to get hurt even more. Guinevere didn't know when the girl would wake and she didn't feel up to the task of waiting. Did all she could at the moment.

So with a deep breath she departed from the girls room and headed towards the staircase where she would have to graciously climb two flights of the grand stairs. Once in her room though she ventured out onto the balcony that lead to the courtyard on the third floor. Descending another flight of stairs with her skirts billowing behind her. She walked into the courtyard where she found a nice place to sit and take in the view until something happened causing her to depart from her place.

The king sat and spoke with his newest guest for quite a while before getting up to leave, "It's been a pleasure. If you need anything, simply speak, and you shall be served." he said with a vampiric smile before leaving the room.

Thaddeus returned to his throne room and sat in the crystal chair he spent much of his spare time in. He had three more guests. The young girl was still ill, but well cared for. The warrior seemed to be a healer as well and was minding her own peace. And the necromancer was in the garden. His blue rose garden. What was she doing there?

Thaddeus stood form his throne in one smooth move and a cloak of white furs appeared on his shoulders. He walked out into the blizzarding snow and smiled. He loved the feel of the ice on his skin. The cold whispering in his ear. Where most would find pain, he found quite a joy.

And with that, his majesty walked out to his gardens, "Milday," he asked with his honey sweet voice mixing well with the sound of the snow, "What might you be searching for in these outdoor gardens?" he asked sweetly.

Aurora quickly covered the wound with a cloth. Pressing slightly to stop the bleeding. She took a step away from the flower, feeling her body chilling a bit. Though nothing that would harm her form. She took a deep breath. Letting go of her finger. It was fine now. Perfectly healed like nothing had happened. Well, it was still a bit red.

Aurora went back to the flower. Like she had not learned the first time after all. Carefully she opened the middle of the petals until she reached the center. There she found what she was looking for. Although she would not take it. Aurora had no place to after all. These were not her flowers. Finding the rare center was enough for the necromancer.

Suddenly a voice came from behind her. Aurora turned. She had been caught, so fast too? Aurora bowed slightly. Showing the king his respect. "Nothing any more. But look what I have found. You may know this already." The Necromancer said to him. She turned back to the flower.Showing him the warm dusty center. "This center can be used to make some of the deadliest poisons known to any necromancer. If prepared right that is."

Thaddeus leaned in over Aurora and looked at the center of the blue rose she showed him. He had known that the center of these roses were rare, but what exactly they were used for, he hadn't quite known.
"Would you like to take one, Lady Aurora? For your studies?" he asked, his pale fingers tracing the frost lining on the deep blue petals.

It was then, before Aurora responded, that he sensed a carriage leaving the palace. His latest guest must have asked for a warmer place to stay. He did seem one to like warmer weather. The carriage was most probably taking him to one of the nearby towns Thaddeus had enchanted to be early spring all year around. A little bit warmer for a Dryad.
