I have to admit the movie makers are in some rough spots because if they made them totally true to book they would be even longer than they were! I didn't like how in Prisoner of Azkaban Harry got his Firebolt at the end...a big part of the book was that he got this mysterious broomstick and no one knows who gave it to him and how'd they know his broomstick was broken.

Now in the middle of Goblet of Fire. Order of the Phoenix is next :D

It's been so long since I read that one that I didn't remember them. I only read Deathly Hallows once, and that was right after it came out.

And I throw in with Cora. I remember the first movie as being very faithful to the book while later movies have taken a lot of leeway.

The newest one is pretty close...with just a few throw a ways.....but I wont spoil anything.

But PoA was my favorite book. I think the thing that pissed me off about the movie(amongst other things) was the total disregard of everyone finding out who the actual marauders where. I mean they mention that the four where friends....but they never mention that the four where the maurauders.......that was one of the BEST parts of the book T.T

They really should have got Chris Columbus to do all the movies....I really love him as a director.

I loved the movie.
Always have, but I was a lot smaller when the first movie came out. Can't stand the first movie right now, all of the kids were such bad actors. But imho they developed so much, especially Emma and Rupert got a lot better if you ask me. In the first movie Emma had 3 emotions and she was just reading lines.

I really liked the movie, but a lot of important information got lost in the movie. My boyfriend, who didn't read the books, was really confused during the movie. Like, why Harry and Hermoine (who never had a problem with it) didn't call Voldemort by his name anymore but by you-know-who. Ahwell.

I like the new movie, but for me it felt a bit rushed. Which is, of course, understandable since there's so much to pack in two hours but still haha. I did enjoy the dancing scene between Harry and Hermione, though. It was adorable.

And I also loved Rupert's acting.

I've loved the books ever since each one has come out, and the movies weren't too bad either, even if a majority of them didn't always stick to the book like glue or missed a few details here and there. I finally saw part one of 7th movie around Thanksgiving, and I cried so much when Dobby died. I'm stoked for part two, and planning on getting tickets to see the midnight showing. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan. I'm halfway through re-reading the books again and planning on getting a Harry Potter tattoo as well. I feel like I could go on and on about Harry Potter for hours and Siriusly (pun intended!) just geek out. :D

A girl I know LAUGHED when Dobby died. I think at least two of her friends haven't spoken to her since.

Oh man that's terrible...I wouldn't talk to her either.

What irked me about PoA's movie is that Harry got the Firebolt at the end...that's a big part of the book, getting a mysterious gift.

I'm rereading Book 7 right now actually

What do you guys think? Anyone else seen it yet?
I may go see it tomorrow.

Well I just got $20 for Christmas lol but I don't think I'm going to see it again :D My friends don't live around here. One of them will see me over break and if she hasn't gone (her brother stood her up) then maybe I can take her.

I just got twenty too, selling a couple of old xbox games, but I think I'm going to buy myself a couple of ten dollar dvds with that.

Sadly Harry Potter is not one of them. Hey...I wonder when Lego Harry Potter Part II comes out...I'm guessing not until the second movie's done?

Lego Harry potter part II? Wow, I didn't know Lego Harry Potter existed! I gave in by the way... Ten dollars on season two of Ben Ten, ten dollars on Harry Potter. And the dance was still awkward!

The 1st game only covers books/films 1-4. But it is out there and has been for a while!

And yeah, that scene is awkward, but I kinda get why he did it. It did seem to temporarily take their minds of things!

I agree, it made things easier for the characters. Viewers wincing was just an unfortunate side effect.

I can't wait to go see it, everytime I want to go see it something happens that keeps me from going to see it.

I saw it and loved it!! So much tragedy-- I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it or read the book. The scenery was so beautiful, shots all over England were so breathtaking.

I know, I loved the scenery too. I (ashamedly) was under the general impression that England was flat. (Don't ask me how I came to that conclusion, but there you are.) I saw some of the scenery in this movie and went "That can't be England, but it must be!"

I cried in the half blood prince when dumbledore died. It's so sad to me. But my favorite has got to be the fourth one, the goblet of fire. I absolutlylove how you can see that there is other schools than just hogwarts.

I raised my K-Bar when Dumbeldore died... and promptly got jabbed in the ribs by a friend "too cool" to properly mourn our beloved headmaster.

That was the first movie I have ever gone to by myself. I couldn't find anybody to go with me, and I love Harry Potter too much to miss out. At least now people will know what my Deathly Hallows tattoo means, I got tired of people always asking me!
