Aye
I'm gonna try and finish with the reading list I've got so far before checking out the rest of them, though. I've got a lovely little mountain to get through lol
FINALLY finished that art book because it was due to the library on Monday with no more extensions. I decided to count it as read even though I didn't read EVERY word because it was an ordeal. I also finished the audio book I was listening to and tried to start a new one but I'm having trouble getting into it...
Anyway, list updated, that's 20 books read so far this year!

I am! And I did! Barcelona is so beautiful. I really enjoyed seeing the architecture. You might have seen some of the pics on Facebook? Art Nouveau is my favorite art movement and there were so many amazing examples of it in the city.
I'm reading another romance novel now called Knot My Type about a wheelchair user who is interested in learning more about accessible rope play and it's pretty steamy. I'm also listening to an audiobook called The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue which is pretty interesting. It's about this woman who makes a deal with a sort of evil night fairy or something of the sort that leads everyone around her to forget her as soon as they stop interacting with her.

Oh I haven't been on Facebook in like a week or so, I'll have to go take a peek! I LOVE Art Nouveau, it falls among my favorite art movements as well! (although I also find something very soothing in Impressionist pieces as well)

planned Books to read: The Diabolic- S. J. Kinkaid It's not on kindle unlimited, so i have to wait to get this and the other 2 books in the trilogy back from my sister in wisconsin.
So i guess.... The artemis fowl series? I have one in my kindle library already, i'll try reading that next. It's been years since i've read it so it may be difficult for me to get back into the hyper fixation on those books. we will see, it's only may and i'm one book away from halfway though my 50 book goal.
I was just suggested her stuff on Audible recently, I'm guessing from the fact that you've read so many that they are good?
SO good. The Dark World series is what i was reading(i listed them in reading order), and it was so good. Jumping from one book to the next was an almost seamless transition while reading each collection, but you still got the small recap from the previous books. She writes quite well, i think, and her stories are really entertaining. I was really able to get into the books quite easily too, which was nice. I haven't read any of her stuff outside of the Dark World series save for a snippet at the end of the Dragon Queen.

I'm on the last of the School for good and Evil books now, after that I have the Tiana twisted tale but then I was gonna need to sink my teeth into another series. Maybe I'll put this one in the running >.>

It's really good. I have other recommendations too (like the diabolic series by s.j. Kinkaid or the red queen series by victoria aveyard, to name a couple. both series i've reread a couple times, which doesn't happen for me often)
I just updated my list with my latest reads. I really liked The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue so I decided to pick up Gallant by the same author and just finished it yesterday.

So the Diabolic series is set in the far future in space, and... well here's the summary thingy that they put on books for the first book
SPOILERX
Nemesis is a Diabolic, a humanoid teenager created to protect a galactic senator's daughter, Sidonia. The two have grown up side by side, but are in no way sisters. Nemesis is expected to give her life for Sidonia, and she would do so gladly. She would also take as many lives as necessary to keep Sidonia safe.
When the power-mad Emperor learns Sidonia's father is participating in a rebellion, he summons Sidonia to the Galactic court. She is to serve as a hostage. Now, there is only one way for Nemesis to protect Sidonia. She must become her. Nemesis travels to the court disguised as Sidonia - a killing machine masquerading in a world of corrupt politicians and two-faced senators' children. It's a nest of vipers with threats on every side, but Nemesis must keep her true abilities a secret or risk everything.
As the Empire begins to fracture and rebellion looms closer, Nemesis learns there is something more to her than just deadly force. She finds a humanity inside her that is true and pure - more so than that of most humans she encounters. Amidst all the danger, action and intrigue, her humanity just might be the thing that saves her life - and the empire."
And here's the one for Red Queen:
SPOILERX
Mare Barrow's world is divided by blood—those with common, Red blood serve the Silver-blooded elite, who are gifted with superhuman abilities. Mare is a Red, scraping by as a thief in a poor, rural village, until a twist of fate throws her in front of the Silver court. Before the king, princes, and all the nobles, she discovers she has an ability of her own.
To cover up this impossibility, the king forces her to play the role of a lost Silver princess and betroths her to one of his own sons. As Mare is drawn further into the Silver world, she risks everything and uses her new position to help the Scarlet Guard—a growing Red rebellion—even as her heart tugs her in an impossible direction.
One wrong move can lead to her death, but in the dangerous game she plays, the only certainty is betrayal.

They're both really good! I stumbled across the diabolic at the library (it happens to be one of the books i never returned...), and then later i bought all 3 books while visiting family and ended up leaving them at my sister's house. She recently found them, so i'll be able to get them back when i visit again. Hopefully this year.
The red queen series was also one that i found at the library, but i didn't steal that book lol I have the 4th book, but not the rest...yet. hopefully soon. (maybe for my birthday? it's in 11 days lol)
~~~~~~~~~~~
I just finished 3 more books- the Demigods academy years 1-3 by Elisa S. Amore And Kiera Legend. They were good, and there's several more in the series, so i'll be reading those for the next several days.
I'm getting close to finishing another library book I've been working on for a while. I enjoyed it in the beginning but my ADHD self got tired of it about 3/4ths of the way through, lol!
I found them on my audible and added them to my wishlist there for now! I may end up with some of the things in actual form but its just so much easier to listen. Especially with my commute to work being so long these days.
Definitely understand that! It's always nice when you can listen to something engaging on long commutes, for sure.
~~~~~
just finished the Demigods Academy series- books 1-12, so i think that brings me up to 36 books so far. I just got the okay to continue the KU subscription on my mom's amazon account (which i use) without a break in the subscription, which is nice (i have to pay her back next payday).

For definite sure, My Audible subscription is the best purchase I've ever made (my commute used to be about 5 minutes, now my new job is roughly 40 mins away it took so much getting used to).
I just finished book number 29 for this year! It was a manga called After Hours. It was pretty cute! I got it from a friend from a thrift store find. I'll have to see if I can find somewhere to read the two other volumes.

I just updated my list with my latest reads. I really liked The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue so I decided to pick up Gallant by the same author and just finished it yesterday.
Addie LaRue is one of my comfort books. I think I've read it like 8 or 9 times since it came out in 2020!
