Just from the specs you listed in the Oblivion forum, you will not be able to run Skyrim on your PC. Don't waste the money.
I just bought a brand new gaming computer and even I have major lag playing Skyrim on it - I caved and bought it for the Xbox!

^ I have no plans on getting Skyrim for the pc, with all the issues I'm having with Oblivion, I may just need to upgrade, or get an actually gaming pc x.x Besides the xbox version still looks good without the need for mods I think..I just wish they'd stop making the elvs so ugly D:

I like the elves in this one! At least the dunmer aren't electric blue this time.
I've got it on the Xbox and I'm having lag issues every now and then.

The Nord women look hot though :P I guess it's just how you use the creation thing, since most people use 1st person view I think?

You can adjust your character's complexion. It goes from baby-smooth to old lady.
It does play through first person, but on your PC, you can scroll out to view your character in third person. On the Xbox, you can go to third person by pressing down either the left or right analog stick (I forget which).
I don't like the camera angles on the Xbox quite as much; your character takes up a lot of the screen in third person. But I use third person on the PC all the time - I'm a bit narcissistic, and I like to look at my pretty characters. I'm also a scaredy cat, so I like to see anything that's attacking me, and I panic if something is attacking me from behind in first person. Third person is great for that.

It depends on what I'm doing.
If I'm fighting in melee, i'll use 3rd person view just because it makes it easier to assess my surroundings and enemies. Sometimes if I'm just running around I'll use 3rd person too, so I can look at my awesome armour.
If I'm doing archery, casting spells and looting stuff, I'll use 1st person.

I only really use FP when I'm using my bow, or when I'm trying to get a better look at something(like carvings on walls, etc). Otherwise, I'm always in third person.

There should soon be a mod for PC that allows characters to not wear underwear when completely stripped of gear/armor/clothes.

I love Skyrim. :> But, I've downloaded so many mods for it! Haha, I'm surprised my computer can run it as easily as ever. The iCEnhancer mod for it should be out soon..? I hope. Here are some awesome comparison shots to see the difference! Om nom nom.
I've already installed several mods for better looking armor and better character meshes. :> I love thems. I should probably start playing again. I haven't even touches the main quest. So much more to dooo.

So that iCEnhancer mod makes everything brighter and more vivid?
Not that it's not cool, but Skyrim is supposed to be a cold and harsh place to be.
That mod seems to take away from that, but that's just my opinion.

Personally, I love it, but you know me, Ark, I'm all fairies and butterflies. The same creator made an environment enhancer for the original Assassin's Creed, too, and I use it all the time. I know it's supposed to be set in a harsh desert, but the grubby colors of sand and dirt get boring after a while.
And just look at the lighting effects in one of the last pictures, with the leaf in the foreground... wow. Beautiful.

PrtScn/SysRq button right next to F12.
Then you go into an art program like GIMP or Irfanview and paste it there.
Crop, resize, etc. then get it hosted on a site like Photobucket, and link to it here.
Ta-da! Snap shot taken and shown to the Menewsha world!

yes, you can uses paint, just make sure that the actual canvas is resized to the size of the image itself.
Otherwise you'll have random white space.
