I wouldn't mind having a cat but I'm slightly allergic to them. I get itchy.

I was watching this episode of animal cops where this guy had taken his son's kitten and threw it over the fence of a power station about a block away from a fire station and, when the kitten got caught on the top of the fence, shrugged and walked away. he couldn't believe it, he kept saying, "it's JUST a stupid cat!!"

I'm sorry, but that is a LIFE, not just a anything! when you opened your door to that animal you became responsible for that life. and you think it's okay to throw a life away like that???

besides, if he had just walked for another block to the fires station they would have taken the kitten for free and no questions asked.

needless to say the fire department adopted that kitten and it lived a wonderful life! no thanks to that "person'!

We have a cat, a kitten, and a dog in my house. And oh my my kitten is a climber. She'll climb anything that'll stand still long enough.

I love the bob tailed cats & kittens. We have had 4 of them. We have 2 now. One died of old age, loved him so much he was so sweet, a pale grey with strips & the prettiest eyes ever, haven't had another cat with that shade of green before or since. The other was the one that got ran over in the driveway. The rest of the bob tails have been solid dark gray, almost the color of a Russian blue & they have such soft fur. The bob tail cat is a stray, he must have been really badly treated before he found us. He was so scared of people. It has taken over a year to get him adjusted to us. He meows at people & wants attention, but runs away from most everyone. He will let me & my husband pet him, but he freaks out if you touch his head. I think whoever had him first must have hit him in the head a lot. I don't know why, he is a sweet & gentle cat & helped produce the cute kittens.

I completely agree with you. It's the owner's responsibility to nurture and care for his/her pets. They can't simply treat an animal in that tortuous way. Some people i swear lack both decency and common sense.

True true. My step dad (who is no longer living with us) did say that our dog lived a happy life.

of COURSE they didn't ask! they took him from our front yard!

my sister has a Manx right now. she is the sweetest little thing. my sister has already taught her to sit, lay down, and shake hands.

that's sad your bobby took so long to tryst you and even sadder that he still had trouble with it. with some people, they don't need a reason to hit people or critters, they just do.

I can't remember the name of the movie, but after that the two of them were a lot more defensive of the back yard, which my neighbor LOVED!!! she was an old (I mean, I'm sure she still is, but, you know) woman living all alone and scared that somebody will take advantage of her frailty and break into her home or something. the way our backyards were setup, you really couldn't tell which yard the big dogs were at! it made her feel safe and happy. I miss that time of my life ...

Hahaha well, they've always been protective. They were all shelter dogs and the owners who had King before us abused him. Now he doesn't really like anyone except for us and our nice neighbors next door
