And thats very true. You can make an avi with all commons if you really want to. I have made a few avis that use no Ci's or Ei's, and usually I only use 1 or 2 Ci's and maybe an Ei or so. There is a lot that can be done with commons. Ci's/Ei's just kind of add those extra little touches and flavor when need be.

Haha. I find it hard to resist, since they're sales. ><;; But yeah, i'll only buy items that I like, or that I think could be useful in some way. And whats nice about getting them during the event, if I end up deciding that I dont want them, I could just sell that back to the stores for the same price, or sell them in the exchange for higher. lol

Yeah, I can't stand missing a CI set, so I get them even if I dont care for them. I figure they'll come in handy some time or another. I'm behind on older ones, though. D:

Same here. They're just another item to be used as need be. They're not like extra special or anything. Having them on isn't like you're trying to rub it in other people's noses and being like "Haha. Look what I got." Goes well with the avi, so use it.

I think you can be creative regardless of whether or not the item has multiple poses or if it's overused. Not to sound cocky, but I think my outfit is a good example of that. I've used a ton of rare item poses in this outfit, but I really haven't seen anyone else make an outfit with a similar combination of colors and layering.

In my opinion, the overall look tends to be more important than the items you use to make it.
