I like to use wrapping paper/meat paper too. (You know, the rough, brown paper stuff.) Nice wrapping paper always makes me feel guilty. I usually end up harping at my siblings about how they "SHOULDN'T WASTE THAT, I STILL HAVE MORE PRESENTS TO WRAP" and then I dig through the trash because I feel like every super-Greenpeace-Captain-Planet is shedding a tear for liberty over my shoulder. Christ. I don't feel guilty very often, but those sorrowful Captain Planet eyes ALWAYS get me.

I had this winnie the pooh paper on year. Well it was just Eeyore. It was a light baby blue, with Eeyore and snow flakes. I thought it was extremely pretty and well drawn, unlike most wrapping paper you find at walmart. xD

I cut out an Eeyore from some of the scrap paper and stuck it on my wall. He's been there for 3 years now, and I think I'll keep him as long as I can.

When I was in college at UC Berkeley, my sister was a student at Stanford -- they're BIG football rivals. So, I wrapped her paper in official college paper. :D It was super-funny at the time, but it sounds kinda silly now. :shy:

ETA: the best wrapping paper I've bought was from Papyrus about six years ago -- before they got super-big and commercialized. I still have some; it has fuzzy felt on the raised designs, big swirls and stars and such. Very luxurious.

My sister wrapped my gifts in Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer paper, all the characters from the movie were on it. I loved it. :]

Haha, I've never gotten too creative as far as wrapping paper goes. My favourite wrapping paper that I've ever seen was when I was about 6, though. It was The Lion King wrapping paper, and at that time it was my favourite movie, sooo... it was so pretty.

XD that's funny. i've never used news paper. but i have this really pretty pearlescent peach colored paper. it's supposed to be birthday paper but it reminds me of the ornaments. i always want to make snow flakes out of the extra. but it's definately my favorite.

Oh my favorite wrapping papers would be the one's with snowmen on them, something cute and colorful.

But I will tell you even though the shiny foil like papers are pretty, they are a pain in the butt to unwrap. ><

I love this shiny silver wrapping paper with white snow flakes all over it. It's so pretty, and it looks pretty under the green tree....

I only have enough left for one more gift though *sniff*

We had a very thick paper that could wrap anything.
I loved it. It was plain green and red with pictures of sleighs.
It was like photo paper, it was so thick.
We used it to wrap a gamer chair and it was so sturdy.

This is kind of mean, but to keep my cat away from the Christmas tree we usually wrap a present and put in under the tree so she spends more time trying to rip apart the wrapping than the tree. But this year I found a bow that had an alarm on it that flashed lights and said "Warning present peeker! PRESENT PEEKER!" and I just had to put it on the "nip present" OMG I've never laughed so hard in my life!

I have a green paper with Santas on it that I really love. I do like the look of those foil papers, but they're a pain in the butt to use when I'm wrapping the present, and then they don't come off nicely either.

xD I prefer putting things in bags cause....I'm lazy and can't wrap. And I like putting in the little paper to fill the top. :'D

My favorite wrapping paper that i have ever used is a black and white houndstooth one. However, in the future, when I have learned printmaking, I hope to make my own wrapping paper from lino blocks I carve.

This year I used the very last of my neon pink leopard print wrapping paper. (And saddly, it was also all I had left and wound up wrapping several "guy" presents in it) - They loved it of course. Hahaha. I love weird wrapping paper, when I can find it I buy it. All year round. ^^

I once had a very pretty gold angel designed wrapping paper on my presents. This was back when I was a very young child and my mother made me keep wrapping paper for things like book covers, so I actually ended up using the paper again.

In fact, I actually still have a book that I used that wrapping paper to cover, with the wrapping paper/book cover still intact. I still think the paper is absolutely gorgeous.

The best wrapping paper I've ever used was the stuff I used this year. It was like a checker board with penguins on it. I used the paper for both wrapping and the tag. XD
