To clarify:
So the catch is that no matter what, you have to fly more missions?
If you're sane, you have to fly more missions, but you'd fly missions if you were crazy...
And since you can't really be in between sane and insane, it was one or the other...
Be sane and have to fly more missions, or be insane to fly more missions by choice.

-tapes brain to to keep from asploding-

@tentenpuff: Yep!
Only a crazy person would fly an airplane.
But crazy people can't be in the airforce, so they're given leave.
But no sane person would want to fly an airplane.
So as soon as you ask to be put on leave, you prove that you're sane.
So you have to fly. But only a crazy person would fly...

And round 'n round it goes!

@Thoth Star:
I'm finishing up Bonfire of the Vanities by Tom Wolfe right now. It's a great read - I've always been impressed by his non-fiction books, so I didn't know how much I would really enjoy his novels, so I'm pretty happy right now.

Thoth Star, why are you reading so much about anatomy? Are you studying to be a doctor?

I know I had to read a ton of anatomy books and memorize a bunch of stuff about muscles...where they insert, and where they originate, and how they're usually named for those places, as well as the bone that they run over. :insane:
I know all this because I had to learn it when I was studying to be a massage therapist back in 05-06. It was crazy insane stuff. At the end it felt like my head was going to explode from all the stuff I had to memorize for my national certification test.

I love it a lot, in fact I think its my second favorite after The Vampire Lestat, but there were parts in it where I wanted to cry. ;-;

I loved it! It started out pretty slow for me, though, but I can definitely see how it gets its famous rep. :3

I'll write a more detailed and better review-ish sort of thing later when it doesn't make me dizzy to type. ^^;;
I love Pride and Prejudice. Its one of my all-time favorite books. :yes:
I hated Darcy in the beginning, because he was such an ass, but by the time the book ended, I was like "He's so awesome." xD

Do you know that there were like two sequel books made by a different author? I've read them and I think they're actually quite good too. :yes:

Annyyway, I've got to go update my list.
Has anyone ever read the Merry Gentry series by Laurell K. Hamilton? o.o

What app is it? I totally need to start using it! xD

I've been keeping a handwritten list of everything I'm reading this year that will be posted on my LJ at the end of the year. It's probably well over fifty by now. I'll post it later (have to finish typing it on the other computer, then move it to this one.)

Hooray!
Your name is the first to be added to the "Finished" list.

Are you going to start aiming for 100 books, or are you just going to start all over again?

I just finished up reading 'The Bonfire of the Vanities' by Tom Wolfe, and I loved it. I really recommend this author to everyone. Before this, I had only read his non-fiction, but now I know that I pretty much love everything about him.

So no I've started up on 'The Dwarf' by Par Lagerkvist. It shouldn't take me very long to breeze through - I always seem to keep reading his stuff into the late hours of the night...

She might have 62 right now, but she set up a 250 book challenge for herself.
So she still has a little while to go. :yes:

Congrats, BlackDinah!

My list progress is sort of halted right now. I read the Twilight series far too fast, so now I'm rereading it. Much slower.
But as soon as I finish, I've got a few books waiting for me. And I might start Journals now.
I don't think I'm going to read 50 books before the end of the year, though. XD *phails*
