The Gardens

Nalin has been extra busy over the past few weeks preparing the gardens for this winter spectacular, the paths are clear but everywhere else is covered with a crisp blanket of snow, but if you go and explore, you may find some hidden suprises! I won't spoil all the suprises, but I've heard tell of a secret grotto somewhere within the gardens, also he's apparently built an igloo! Can you find it?

If you're not up to wading through drifts exploring, you can just stroll around the pathways for a breathe of air, all the trees are light-festooned so it looks quite lovely out there! Or if you're feeling a bit more energetic you could head on over to the picnic lawn for a snowball fight and build your own snowman! There's a heated hospitality tent set up on the lawn, so once the end of your nose has gone numb you can take a break around the brazier and thaw out with a selection of hot drinks specially chosen to chase the chill away. We have some delicious soups; mulled wine created from a fruity red of my own making; hot chocolate with an extra special treat, cinnamon marshmallows! freshly ground coffee and an extra special blend of chai; from the secret tea garden of a special friend of mine, on the slopes of the mountains of Dainea, this tea can only be reached by a flight on a dragon's back!

- Want to warm up somewhere a bit quieter? The Town Hall Library has fat, comfy couches and chairs - and the Librarian isn't around to shush any conversations!

Kenora sat on a small bench and sighed into the cold night. "Well its begun," he grinned and stretched, "santa needs to get here soon!"

Wow Mr. Mayor sure is hosting in many different places this year! I wonder how he will stretch himself in all the threads.

I think I shall help myself to a hot chocolate with marshmallows and survey the beautiful garden. <333

Sighing, Kenora stood, "Oh quiet down over there, take in the majestic snow covered beuty in silence for a little while eh?"

*ducks head* Sorry. But it's so pretty and white and glittery. How can you not want to just go and play and dance in it?

*walks into garden with a plate full of goodies*

Sighing the tall man grins "I do give you that one. However, ring in the season with cotemplation." Grinning viciously now, "than a snowball fight!" he balls up some snow and throws it at Jellybeaninc.

@Jelly: I can relate to your desire to dance in the garden. A grand winter garden just yearns to be played in!!:rofl:

Nah, im talking about the mid winter festivities that created modern christmas.

Our real christmas today is nothing more than a christianized pagan holiday.

Meh, mostly, aside the carols of christ and stuff like that, this is the mid winter festivities, it allowed for the people of europe especially to celebrate and get through the depressing time of the year. thats what this season was made for. Joy and uplifting your seasonal depression.
