One of my poems that was actually showcased in a literature convention

Don't you

Don’t you hate
When people think
They know every mistake
Miss-step and fall
You’ve made
When really,
They know
Nothing at all?

Don’t you want
To scream when
People seem to hunt
Others to judge
Behind backs
And seem to carry
An all-hating
Grudge?

Don’t you cry
When someone you know
Doesn’t even try
To stop the change
Of becoming
A person you used to know
And now they’re just
An old friend estranged?

Don’t you wish
That when something is done
You could be spared the anguish
Of trying to hold on
To a thing
Or person
That is so
Long gone?

Don’t you crave
The ability to tell
What road you’ll pave
In this game called Life
That is never
Ending and seems
To be one
Big strife?

Don’t you know
That the truths
Hidden will be shown
And in time things will
Eventually, finally,
Oh so perfectly,
Absolutely

You pull me close
Then push us apart
We seem to grow so close
And end up back at the start

And I’m beginning to think
I’ve fallen hard for you but
I fear I’ll crash
With a single blink

You reminisce me
But then forget it all
And I should’ve known
This game comes with a fee

You say you’re lost
Without me
But then you go on to say
With her you’re still star-crossed

And you make me feel
So warm and loved
But hiding beneath
Is this feeling so surreal

Please, no more of this game
Because soon I’ll crash
And my heart
Will turn aflame
