In a clearing at the edge of a stretch of woodlands between the city and the cliffs overlooking Discovery Bay dwells a large, ancient ash tree. On cold winter days leading up to the New Year, townspeople will make their way to the tree to tie ribbons marked with their wishes to the boughs.

It is believed that the simple act of tying a wish ribbon to the tree will grant prosperity in the coming year, but each year a number of people will find that the content of their wish has come true as well!

If you would like to join the tradition and add your own wish ribbon to the tree, please read through the information below and then post your completed entry form into this thread.

Only one wish per person.
No posting forms with personal mules, please.
Approved charity mules are welcome to make a wish for their charity, though!

You are wishing for one item worth up to 7500g.
This may be any item on Menewsha, past or present.*
Item value is determined by the current "Average sale" price at the Marketplace.
Look at the Rare Item Guide for ideas and search the Marketplace for prices.
If wishing for commons, just use current store price.

You have until the end of the event to add your wish.
10 lucky people will be chosen at random to have their wish granted by the Tree.
We'll send out prizes after the event ends.

For those who are able and have the desire to give, we offer the option of granting other users' wishes directly and discretely. The process for this is outlined below. Please post in the thread if you have questions not covered here.

Choose a wish ribbon from the previous post & acquire the item.
Try your best to keep it secret.
You may grant as many wishes as you like.

Send the item in a trade to The Wishing Tree.
In the text box, please write the username of the person you are gifting.
If granting multiple wishes, make sure all names are listed.
Or you could do separate trades, too. :3

Please be advised that someone else may beat you to it!
Although I check trades constantly, there will be cases where two folks send in the same wish item.
The trade with the earliest "accepted" timestamp will be used; the other cancelled with item returned.
My apologies in advance for this frustration. <3

We will send the item to your person anonymously.
Please try to keep it secret while the event is going.
Any posts that give away secrets will be removed from this thread.
There will be a place for you to reveal yourself in the results thread after the event.

People whose wishes are granted will be removed from the drawing,
thereby increasing the chances that those remaining will also get something.
We will continue to send out fulfilled wish items throughout the event.
