Why are you having problems with stairs? Are you injured, or just lazy? xD

Unfortunately, injured. xD
I had both my knees dislocated at the same time a few years ago (never play football with the football players on blacktop) and they never healed all the way so I have to be extra careful when playing sports or running long distances.
Of course with my luck last night I was running up the stairs and my cat jumped in front of me, scaring me, and I landed with my right knee cap (the really bad one) directly on the edge of the stair. It popped a bit but went back in. Thankfully I have a bunch of leg supports to wear. xD Stairs are evil.
That's why I was complaining about the book I was reading having so many kicked out knees. X_X

Owwwwww. D:
I can sympathize with the re-injuring thing. When I was about 11 or 12 or so I was jumping up and down and landed on my foot badly, which caused it slip inwards, so my weight, along with the pressure of me falling, was put onto my ankle. I think I tore a tendon or something like that. It healed, but the slightest little thing would mess it up again for like, week. It took until I was 13 or so to fully heal. That doesn't sound too bad, but when you consider that that's 1-2 years of nearly non-stop twisted ankles, yeah, it sucked. xD; Wearing high tops helped it, too. It's harder to twist your ankle when there's something wrapped around it.
Yeah, I can understand why those books would bother you so much now. >< I just thought you were being squeamish. xD;

@Cherry: xD Nah I'm not squeamish. It's just the author seems to speak from experience. I was on crutches for like six months and I'm still messing them up, I think it was almost four years ago. Last time I went to my knee doctor he wasn't very optimistic for a full recovery, ever. It's okay though, I still play manhunt at night in the woods... You know I go tumbling off roofs and I'm fine, yet I can't get up the stairs without injuring myself. xD
@Jenova: What are you researching?

I just got my Christmas present from one of my friends, and she gave me This is Not a Book by Micheal Picard. The cover says that it is "Philosophical Games and Thought Experiments to Give Your mind a Workout." I've been flipping through it for the past few minutes and I already love it to death!

I bought myself 2 new books today: Of Mice And Men by John Steinbeck and Persuasion by Jane Austen. I wasn't intending on buying them, but they were there and I kind of had to. xD And the version of Persuasion is from the same set as the rest I have so I kind of did have to get that one ... I just have Northanger Abbey left to buy now and then I'll have all of Jane Austen's novels. :D
And my progress on Emma, very slow. x.x I don't know why I'm reading so slow. :cry:

when you got tackled... that was a little over three years ago, right? sophomore year. maybe it was freshman. DDD:
@cherry - i've been looking at feed since it came out, but always forgot to check the summary because the cover made it look like realistic fiction.
but now i must look into it.
damn you, woman. making me gather more books while i'm still trudging through my other ones.
@dani & cherry - ugh, owowowow. STOP. T_T
i don't have injuries like that, but you guys are making it hurt. D:
@shadow - facebook does suck away time. although i've shifted away and now movies take all my time now. :[

Oops. It was only three. I forgot I didn't take a year off before college. xD
I can't help killing my knee... I mean just climbing up the art shelves to get to the cieling used to hurt it.
My librarian doesn't believe I'm reading all the books I take out. She says it's to fast for me to have read them. T_T

@Springy -- that's so exciting you've nearly completed your set of Jane Austen. I feel so empowered seeing a shelf full of classics.
@Dream and Die -- maybe your librarian is teasing you? You could quote from some of what you've read and show off your knowledge ...

Which is perfect for me because I collect buttons offline. xD
Seriously. I looked once, and it said I have 900+ pieces of flair... I don't even know how I do that. And I even went through and deleted about fifty that I didn't want anymore.

Ooh, Persuasion looks good.
I get that sometimes. Sometimes even if a book is interesting, if it just doesn't GRAB me, I can't seem to read it.

Yes, look into it! :D It's good. Especially considering that it's YA.
At times the narration makes it seem dumb, but really, that's the narrator, not the writer. There's plenty of things happening in the background that are big, not-stupid-writer things, but the narrator barely pays any attention to them. So it's sort of up to you to catch those things.
Am I making sense?
Sorry. xD;

To make it so that it doesn't show your name, don't put your last name in. xD; Just put your middle name or something silly.
And if you want to be searchable by your full name (but not have it displayed), you can put it in the "former name" thing.

Cherry: Sorry it took me forever to reply but I think you would like Brave New World. Especially since you seem to be really into dystopian stuff (far more so than myself, but only because I haven't really read that much of it).
Google Toolbar spellchecker doesn't like the word 'dystopian' and wants me to change it to 'dustpan'. XD
