I absolutely LOVE this! My elementary school used to do something similar but since then I have never done it again.
Question: Do I keep editing this post if I want to chat about other things as well? Or is this strictly a list post and I start a new post for idle chats? (Sorry for the questions. :sweat: )

Riskia- I had it from the library, but I just ordered two copies. XD

Stars- HARRY POTTEER. THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA. *fangirls* Good looking list so far, Stars!

You can chat about things on your list post if you'd like, but people will more likely miss what you have to say that way, especially once it's a few pages behind. Starting new posts to chat is the best way to keep up with conversation and let other people build off of what you say, but it's up to you. :yes:
Do edit your post instead of making a new one instead of double posting, though. :)

Awesome idea~!
My mom is always complaining about how I read too much.
So, I can't buy as many books as I would like. D;

Anyone have any book recommendations to start me off?
Fiction is best. (:

Hey there, Meee!
Fiction like realistic fiction, or any type of fiction? :) And do you prefer young adult books or ...not young adult books? *brain fart on the word she needs to use*

Hello Iltu~
Hmm, I suppose any type of fiction.
And preferably young adult books.

I see you've read Tricks & The Graveyard Book?
Good books. (:

Wait wait wait, I changed my mind, I need to ask more questions before I spew reccomendations because I'm such a goose about these things. :gonk:
Do you want more like, realistic fiction stories about teenagers doing things that could feasibly happen, borderline fantasy, fantasy, something else entirely...?
Sorry, I just like to make sure I don't give any reccomendations that are too off-base. XD;

Those are both great books! I love Ellen Hopkins, and after The Graveyard Book, I love Neil Gaiman as well.

All righty then. XDD

Um, anything that has a good plot and is an interesting read.
Realistic teen stories are fine by me.
I read a lot of those.
Fantasies are good as well.
I dunno, you can just spew away~ :'D

Okidoki! Some of my young adult favorites are Sabriel by Garth Nix (followed by Lirael and Abhorsen, together they are the Abhorsen Trilogy, but Sabriel works as a stand alone), Wildwood Dancing by Juliet Marillier (Cybele's Secret is the sequel to that), Howl's Moving Castle, Dark Lord of Derkholm, both by Diana Wynne Jones (and about ANYTHING by her will be excellent), The Inkheart trilogy by Cornelia Funke, Chronicles of the Imaginarium Geographica by James A. Owen (first book is Here, There Be Dragons), The Sight by David Clement Davies, Watership Down by Richard Adams, the Abarat quaret by Clive Barker, The Foretelling by Alice Hoffman, The Bartimaeus Trilogy and Heroes of the Valley by Jonathan Stroud, and The Eyes of a King by Catherine Banner. And of course your standard The Hobbit, Harry Potter, The Chronicles of Narnia, and the Eragon books. :lol:

And those are almost or maybe all fantasy, so some okay to good non fantasy ones would be Mud Girl by Alison Atchison, The Luxe by Anna Godberson, the Seven Deadly Sins series by Robin Wasserman, Skinned, also by her, Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan, and Does My Head Look Big In This? by Randa Abdel-Fattah. And Sold by Patricia is REALLY good, especially if you like Ellen Hopkins.

Sorry that's such a monster list. :gonk:

Monster lists are my favorite. 8D<3

Hmm, I've read Howl's Moving Castle, the Inkheart Trilogy, The Bartimaeus Trilogy, and the standard. XD
Some of the non-fantasies I've heard of. Not quite sure if I've read them or not.
I really do need to keep a list. XD

As for the rest, I think I'll check them out~
Thanks! C:

Spread that love like PB&J! 8D

Oh yes, I have to enjoy a book to be able to read it.
otherwise, it doesn't work.
Unless, it's for school, but that's something completely different. XD
How about you?

I loves those three a whole lot. <3 I can get through a book if I don't like it, but I've started to not read them when I still don't like them by the ahlf way point.

Did you see the movie of Howl's Moving Castle?
I adored that. c:

There was a movie for Inkheart, but I never got to see it. D;

I actually read the book with the intention of watching the movie afterwards, but now I have no desire to see the movie. I think I'll just get all in a tizzy about how different it is from the book.
I never saw the Inkheart movie, either. I'm almost glad I've not seen it yet- I get cranky with movies that deviate from the book. XD

I need to be more open minded about these things. :c

Hehe, tizzy is a cool word. :3

I usually get irritated by that as well.
Especially with the Eragon movie.
Oo, that spelled disaster immediately.

Tizzy is a favorite word of mine. :3 It's fun to say!

I liked that movie at first, because I adored the CGI they used for Saphira.
And then over the course of the next two weeks the reality of how bad it was sank in and I realized I hated it and wanted a new Eragon movie right away. :lol:
I think the only movie I like more than the book was Forrest Gump. I didn't like the book very much, but the movie is wodnerful.

I think I'll adopt that word into my vocabulary. =D

I did like the CGI for Saphira, but the events were all wrong.
I was in such a tizzy (!!) it wasn't even funny. :lol:

I've never heard of Forrest Gump. o;

Yay for the word tizzy!

I didn't get worked up for a bit, it was a slow dawning for me. XD

Skip the book, but do watch the movie if you ever find time. :) It's great. It's basically the life story of this fictional man named Forrest Gump, and all the unbelievable and incredible things he did.

@Vida: ... The dude with the key is the popstar's brother. xD Not the main character's. But it was still a major shock, especially seeing as she practically molested him in public not two seconds earlier. :oops:

And I totally want to see Amu(the main charrie) wind up with Ikuto(catboy). It's such a cute pairing, even with the major age difference.

The ending was so..... Hanging.. xD
I was mad at it~

I haven't checked up on the thread for about a week, so I need you guys to help me out: Has anyone posted a list lately? I'll add it to the front page if you'll just give me a link (or say what page it's on). :yes:
