Katie laughed."I do recall wanting to marry you as a child but mother called it incest.."She smirked."Well, If I do get stuck with a rude brute then I might just take you up on that offer Deks." She said and hugged him." I missed you." She said finally after hearing that he had missed her. "And thank you for keeping you hair long." She grinned and twirled a strand of it."It is entertaining.."

Hotaru sighed heavily as he watched everyone show up, he then spotted the dragons that signafied that one of the girls that he was to chose out of was there. He ran a hand through his black hair as he stood up and walked over towards her. He had a serious look on his face that he always had on, after all he was the oldest and had to be serious all the time and he also know that this meeting was going to take days. "Good day, I am Hotaru, prince of the Earth kingdom." he said to them as he had to do the normal bow, when he straightened up, it almost looked like he did a magic trick as flicked his hand and a fire flower appeared in his hand, he handed to the princess. He was only really doing this because his parents expectted it out of him. His sister on the other hand was so out of it at the moment she looked like she was a tree herself as she stood there stock still, gazing out of the land. communing with nature as she puts it.

A smirk came to Kaida's face at the male's approach and actions. He certainly was a charmer. She took the flower gingerly eyeing for a moment. "Flattery will get you far," she told him in a cooing voice as her eyes rolled back up to meet the male. With the smirk still evident on her face she knew that she had to react properly or her father would have her head. Releasing her brother and gave Hotaru a curtsied bow, her head dropping slightly as she said, "I am Kaida, princess of the Fire Kingdom." She stood back up, her eyes scanning over the male as she tried to get a read on him. She wasn't sure how many people were in the same boat as her with not wanting to be there so she would just have to see how most of them reacted. Now she knew he was Earth though, that meant he was one that had the possibility for asking for her hand. Her smirk fell slightly as she quickly looked about the growing numbers again. That was one, all she had to do was figure out who wind was and possibly avoid the two like the plague. A thought then crossed her mind, Or I could just as easily avoid everyone...

Katie finished hugging her brother and then noticed the fire kingdom, or atleast..she noticed the princess and the prince. She scanned him over since he was one of the men she was supposed to end up with. It was either him of the prince of darkness. She brushed her hair out of her face again wondering who she would end up with..and if they would be the kind of guy she would actually care for.She quickly looked down after forgettting that she had been staring. She was still waiting for her brother to speak.

Annabelle sat down on her bed thinking about what her parents told her. She started freaking out "ugh I don't wanna marry some stranger" she said annoyed. She heard a knock on her door. "what is it?" she asked. "It's time to go" she heard one of the servants say. "oh, I'll be down in a minute"she said trying to find a way out of going to the stupid meeting.

Shin grinned. "I told you." the fire prince said to his sister with a proud look. Then he bowed lightly. "I'm Shin Prince of Fire and this is my elder sister." He said simply before watching him hand her a flower. "Ok well see you around behave don't get us into trouble." He said quickly to his sister departing. HE had no intention of being around while his sister was flirted with. He walked around the garden looking around. He saw the earth princess but didn't want to bother her. He just looked at her with a smile softly. She was pretty, he looked around for the wind family and noticed some people that would fit the bill. He walked over to introduce himself.

Melta looked up at the boy that approached them, obvious that he was of the fire kingdom. She stood to greet him, standing a two inches taller then him, the long black hair and red tattoos on her body making her seemed a little taller. Her smile was a little soft, though still forced. "Shin isn't it? You resemble your father. I am Queen Melta of the Wind. This is my husband Farkcel. And these my children, Katie and Deks." She gestured to the man sitting in the air next to her.

(This is frustrating not having someone playing the king...Miss, can I just make a king of the wind and play him? :P )

Katie noticed the fire prince coming their way and quickly looked the other direction, acting like she hadn't spotted him coming. She looked around, trying to make it seem like she was interested by something else."Damn.."She mumbled and then looked back up at her brother with a small smile, atleast she wasn't putting on an act when she smiled at him. She then noticed him talking to her mother and turned to listen to what his name was..shin. She noted his name and then just looked around at everyone in her family, then looked at Shin since they were starting conversation. She heard her mother introduce her and looked at Shin so she wouldn't be rude..not that she really cared about being rude but she didn't want to embarass her mother or anything.

Shin smiled and nodded bowing deeply. "It is an honor to meet you all." He said politely. "Queen Melta I've heard much of you. You are put down as being one of the most adaptable of all the people paired at these events." He said trying to be polite he didn't know what to say though. "Prince, Princess." He said bowing to each of them in turn. "Prince Deks I'm curious have you retired from the military or are you on leave?" He wondered a loud. He placed his hand politely behind his back and seemed to be a very formal man when the time called for it.

Katie turned her head towards her brother to hear what his answer would be, then looked towards her mother and father, wondering what each of them were thinking. She looked down at her feet out of boredom since she hadn't really wanted to come to the meeting anyways.

The queen laughed for the first time in a week. As always, it sounded darker then she ever meant it. "Thank you Shin." She turned to look at her husband. She leaned close to his ear and whispered, "Darling, don't look so serious. You might frighten the boy with your scrutiny." She smiles at him.
Fark shook his head. "Do not worry about me, Melta. I'm merely sizing up the boy," he said just as quietly.

“It is a pleasure to met you at last, Princess. As you know we both get to chose out of two people on who we are going to marry. So instead of avoiding each other like we want, we don‘t we get to know each other.” Hotaru said to her as he got a cocky grin on his face, he then picked her hand up and kissed the back of it lightly before he let it go. He smiled and nodded at the fire prince and watched him walk off, he even looked towards his sister who was so far out of it that she didn’t even notice that someone was looking at her. He chuckled a bit before he turned his attention back towards the fire princess, he wondered what type of girl that she was going to be, after all she was the oldest child and he was the oldest child also.

Kaida had a smile on her face, but it wasn't a happy one. He was going to torment her it seemed. After he kissed her hand and his attention went else where she quickly wiped the back of her hand on the back of her leg. She couldn't help but cast a glare in her brother's direction about being flirted with. This wasn't flirting it was torture. That was when her eyes landed on the people he was walking up to. Knowing him he'd be doing what was expected of him which meant that the people he was talking to were the Wind Kingdom. That then led the girl to guess that the long haired male was the Prince. Her eyes locked on him for a moment, looking him up and down until she felt the Earth Prince's gaze upon her once again. "You get to choose, us Princesses don't really get a choice in the matter," she replied smartly though the smile on her face was there to have her father think that she was being polite. "So what is it that you would like to know?" She wasn't happy to say in the least, he was essentially cornering her seeing as she could still see her father. She didn't like that but she'd have to play at least a little nice.

"Your welcome your highness." Shin said looking at the king with a bow. He figured he'd ask Katie a question now but he had to be formal. "Princess Katie please tell me, what are some things you enjoy to do?" He asked politely his hand remaining behind his back. He found kissing a young lady on the hand was a jest best saved for when you've met once and not on a first meeting. First meetings where best done in a civil and cautious manner especially when the father of a young persons was able to literally blow you two countries over.

“I prefer the girl to chose me not me choosing them. So you seem to be the hottest girl here, so why don‘t you tell me about your self.” Hotaru said to her as he ran another hand through his black hair, he could see his sister out of the corner of his eye, she was still in the same place that he had left her at. He wasn’t even interested in the girl but he had to show he was for his parents after all it was for them and he only had one other girl that he could talk to besides her and his sister. “What are your favorite things?” he asked her with that same cocky smile on his face, he was trying to be nice and was letting her know that she could do what she wanted and not worry about him because he wasn’t going to force her to do something that she didn’t want to do.

Katie looked up when she heard Shin speak to her and then added."Well, I like to paint and I like to play all sorts of instruments.."She said, knowing there really wasn't much to do in their kingdom. "And write." She said and then thought it would be kind if she said something else." What do you like to do,Shin?" She said, looking at him with a small smile and then looking at her father to try to read his face to see what he was thinking.

Kaida ran her tongue over her teeth as she tried to read the dark haired male before her. He wasn't bad looking by any means, but there was just something about him the put her on edge. She couldn't quite put her finger on it though. "For one, kind of obvious statement about myself," she said with pride as she shifted her weight to one foot. "And as for my favorite things, is that something that you are really interested in or are you just playing nice?" Normally the girl would have more than happy to spill information about herself, but not now and especially to a guy that she wasn't sure of just yet. Her family would have been quite surprised and given it was under different circumstances they may have even been proud of her.

Shin smiled some and nodded. "Well those are all delightful." He said simply. "Well I enjoy a great many of things. Reading and writing among them. I also love dragon ridding, and sparing are also amongst some of my favorite things." He answered truthfully with a nod as he used one hand as an expression and the other remained behind him.

Katie grinned for the first time that night to someone that wasn't her brother."That sounds amazing."She said, her green eyes looked a little brighter."It must be exhilerating to ride a dragon."She said, admiring that it seemed like nothing to him."Readings fun to..but its blown off the map compared to dragon riding." She said with a small laugh.

“Well, sweetheart that is just something that you are going to have to find out now isn‘t it? So are you going to tell me or not?” Hotaru asked her as he flicked his hand and a couple of seats formed behind them, he still had his cocky smile on his face as he looked at her. “Please have a seat.” he said to her as the chairs started to cover them selves in one of the softest grass there was. He had to stand there and wait for her to take her seat until he could take his; after all he had a feeling that they were going to be there for a while. He was still waiting for something about her to peak his interest, even though it didn’t seem like she was an interesting person, more like she was very vain and only thought about her self and he didn’t want that type of girl.

Shin laughed and nodded. "I suppose I find reading to be enjoyable. Sometimes if the dragon is tame enough you can read and ride and that is most enjoyable." He said with a nod. "My dragon Magenta she's tame enough to ride but not to read and ride. Someone has to pay attention with her." He said with a laugh motioning over to a dark red dragon laying down looking like a tired dog. "I could take you over to meet her if you'd like. Later maybe, after she's rested, I could give you a ride." He offered but he looked up at the king and queen worried they'd disapprove."

Melta chuckled. "By all means, Prince Shin. Might do the girl some good." She smiled kindly over at her daughter, showing that she was teasing.
Farkcel frowned. "I don't know...Will you be careful?"
