Kona could only sigh as she clasped her hands together. She bowed her head and a aqua light began to engulf her hands. It slowly spread through her arms and then throughout her entire body. A circle with weird scripture rotated on the earth beneath her feet. Kon took a deep calming breath and the circle expanded quickly to reach Feng then it quickly retracted. All of this happened in a quick second.
When kona healed the girl she took another opportunity to shoot out the creatures other eye. She aimed and missed. Kona growled and decided to try again.

"Thanks a millions," Feng called, grinning as usual, though there was a dark edge to it, fueled by blood lust. Sticking to her plan, she ran around the monster, stabbing and slashing at it as quickly as she could. In the process, she leveled to a fourteen, but it didn't do much to equal the ground between them. The constant dodge and strike battle lasted a good half hour, and Feng was tiring. She rested a moment, a good distance from the gremlin mama, trying to rest a moment. The broadsword was feeling too heavy, but if she switched to her butterfly swords, the damage decrease would be suicidal. "What else do I have in here? A lighter would be nice..." She thought, wiping her brow and dodging a large boulder that was thrown at her. The gremlin mama generally stayed in the same place due to its slow speed, and was pretty good at tossing heavy objects at Feng. "Damn damn damn!" She growled. "I should've splurged and bought those fire augments after all," she grumbled. "Even then it wouldn't have made much of a difference, but..." She chugged down one of her potions and stashed away the empty vial before charging into the battle once more, feeling rather refreshed. "All this effort and it still has sixty percent of it's health? I'm screwed..." The rational part of her brain thought. Her normal, blood and violence-starved self roared, "Die, bastard!" With fiendish delight, she returned to hacking at the gremlin mama.
----------
((by the way, I will be implementing the virus...NOW!!!))
As Feng was fighting, the game suddenly paused. All monsters and NPC's stopped moving, though they were now immune from harm, as were the players, for the moment. Then, a deep, authoritative voice boomed across all worlds - a shout to all players.
"Attention! Attention! Dead Life has been infected with a virus. All users are to log off immediately. This is not a drill. Log off immediately!"
"Shit," Feng thought, and sheathed her sword.
She instantly went to her main menu screen to log off, but as soon as she selected the "Log Off" button, the main menu closed and someone whispered to her, "I'm sorry, this action is currently unavailable."
"The hell?" Feng growled. She repeated the process. The same message sounded.
After the third time, the machine-like voice said, "I'm sorry, you are trapped. Please enjoy your game, and go to hell."
"Screw you!" Feng snapped. She was about to call for help when the authoritative voice shouted once more.
"Due to the virus, you are currently stuck in game. We will be able to sort out the mess shortly. Please play at your own risk, we are not sure what else the virus has affected." Then there was silence.
"What the hell kind of answer was that?" Feng shouted, but the game unpaused. The gremlin mama came back to life and began hurling things at Feng once more. Furious, she charged it and began hacking it to pieces. In a short time, it went from being sixty percent dead, to forty-five.
A howl tearing from her lips, she stabbed the gremlin mama in the neck. There was a flash of white light, and the gremlin mama was momentarily stunned as its health went down to thirty percent. "Oh, so that's how you use rage. You'd think with what I've been doing I would've figured that out by now. Che, it took off some HP," Feng said, somewhat disgusted. Then, her impish grin returned and she continued attacking the gremlin mama, though she felt slightly worn out from the rage attack.
----------
((i thought rage was a good add. I'll put more info about it on the first page, please read about it in the announcement section!!))

((Interesting...))
Dero logged into the game with his newly created character. Being back in the Warlock's skin made him feel at home once more. Of course... Now he was a necromancer. Relatively the same thing. The moment he set foot in this old world of the Eastern City, the game paused and the announcement sounded. "That's just great..." Dero sighed as his new character, Bone Razor, attempted to log out of the game. "I'm sorry, this action is currently unavailable." He stared for a few moments, surprised. "What?" He clicked it one more time. "I'm sorry, this action is currently unavailable." He grunted and attempted to smash his axe into the m--Oh wait. He was a necromancer now. Bone Razor exited the screen and sighed once more. "Tch... Well this won't save that prick." He growled and set off on his way to the outskirts of the city. Maybe he could find Crystafare again.

((thanks ^^))
Feng was knocked back into a tree as the gremlin mama game to her senses. "Damn thing," she muttered. "Now, how do I do rage again? I winged it last time..." She wondered. "I'll figure that out later," she decided, and charged into battle once more.

Fang froze as the monster he had been about to kill froze. Hearing the announcement, his eyes widened. Fuck! He quickly tried to log off, but found he couldn't. "I'm sorry, this action is currently unavailable." was repeating itself. He growled a little, slamming his fist into a nearby tree in frustration. Fuck! This is so not cool! he thought angrily. So now they were stuck in a game that had a virus in it. This.. Was completely unfair, and bad. He frowned before suddenly everything turned back to normal, the monster unfreezing. He growled and finished it off without a problem, a bit too pissed off to toy with it. He was a bit happy that he now was a level 16, but still.. How were they going to get out of the game? He had to go to work!

Crystafare sat on a bench in the town as she waited for the others. She decided that she should get started on some of the quests since she wanted to get them done before she had to log off for the night. Walking out of the town she didn't stray too far from the village enterance in the event that either Dero or Shadowed showed up to quest around with her. She looked at her quest log and noticed that she was almost done with one of them. She had left it unfinished, which was odd in its own right, but oh well she was doing the quest now so it was all good. She was supposed to go collect pelts from "Wooly Mammoth Cubs." Spotting some in a nearby clearing she ran up to them and began meleeing them with her staff. She collected her loot, apparently she only needed the one.
She walked back to the village when there was a slight lag then ," Attention! Attention! Dead Life has been infected with a virus. All users are to log off immediately. This is not a drill. Log off immediately!" showed up on the middle of her screen and in her public chat box. "What the hell," thought Crystafare. Popping up her control panel she went to log off and clicked on it. " I'm sorry, this action is currently unavailable." "Gah!!!" yelled Crystafare in frustration. What the hell was she supposed to do now. She had homework, and school to attend. She had tests to take, and classes to pass. Not to mention she had a certain boyfriend who would be missing her. This was so bad! Who knows what weird things were going to happen now that there was a virus running rampant deciding to go back to the village she turned in her quest as if nothing happened. There was nothing she could do about it, so why bother about it? The only thing that she knew that she needed to do was find more party members. Safetly in numbers, you know?

Kona began to hyperventalate. No matter how much she tried she couldn't get enough oxygen to her lungs. She repeatedly clicked the log off button but nothing was happening. Kona short breaths grew shorter and shorter. Kona let out a shrill scream as she pulled on her hair.
"I told those idiots these games were a bad idea." And by idiots she meant her parents. If it weren't for them she would be quietly reading some Jane Austen book. She growled and looked up to she Feng hacking away at the gremlin. Did this girl not just hear the warning? 'Fight at your own risk...' If we died in the game, while we were still stuck, what would be the outcome. Kona put both hands in her hair and tugged furociously. This can not be happening. The poor girl was in deep denial.

The gremlin shot more clumps of earth and rock at Feng, but she was getting better at dodging. "Ooh, my agility rose a bit. Good training!" She thought happily. She happened to pass by the girl in her attempts to escape and was surprised to see her tugging at her hair and screaming. "She's not taking the news well, is she?" She thought with a wry face. She gave the gremlin a quick, painful slice to the eyes to distract it while she stood back with Kona a minute. She squatted on the ground, resting, and said, "You'll go bald at that rate." It probably wasn't the most tact approach, so she continued, "Even if you freak out about it, no good will come of it. They said they'll fix it, so they'll fix it. Until then, we just have to keep playing, okay? So relax a little." She wasn't sure why she was so calm about it. Probably because she was a.) enjoying herself (which meant killing cyber monsters) and b.) a stupidly relaxed person. She eyed the gremlin warily. She only had a few more moments before it started throwing things again, so she darted forward and started hacking at it, watching its HP go down, slowly but surely.

Shadowed had heard the announcement not two minutes after she had logged back into the server, intending to look for Cyrsta and Dero. She thought crap and went to log out when a window popped up and she was unable to log off. She cursed under her breath and then opened up a chat window to Crysta. "Hey, what's going on? I had to leave before, and now this virus crap what happened while I was gone?" she typed quickly, wondering why Dero didn't seem to be popping up in the database anymore, she was wondering what had happened to him. Maybe she could get back to Crysta and then wait for Dero, she didn't feel like getting into any fights at this point in time. She needed to stock up but right now she was sure information was more helpful.
Hopefully there wasn't too much going wrong with the game. She really hoped that everything would be alright with it, or else she'd be seriously pissed if she'd wasted her money on an awesome game with crappy defense against invasion and infection.
(Sorry! I like really really was gone yesterday! Virus got implemented and Dero is now Bone Razor? Wow a lot happened in two pages!)

Kona gace another aggravated sigh and released her sky blue here. Unfortunately the blood thristy woman was right. Worrying solves nothing but running around killing gremlins didn't suit her tastes either. She didn't want to play the game in the first place. So why would she be happy about being stuck in her own personal hell. Without realizing it she was anxiously tugging on her hair again.
Kona laced her fingers together and put them in her lap so she wouldn't cause herself to go bald. She tried to fill herslef with happier thoughts. For example she didn't have to try and stomach her mother's cooking. Her homework wouldn't be much of a problem and she wouldn't have to get bullied come Monday morning. Her frowned lessened but she wasn't exactly smiling. She heard a low growl and looked to see the slobbering behemoth.
Her bowed soared through the air and peirced his flesh. Before her could fully recover she grabbed one of her special poisioned tipped arrow and aimed for his heart. It would slow him down and hopefully give Feng an oppurtunity.

Feng looked over to see the girl shooting at a slobber behemoth. "Ooh, more," she said gleefully. This one was more her level. Feng was about to attack it, but she notice that it was slowing. The girl had done something to it, it seemed. "Fine, I'll take care of this one first," she thought. She hacked at the gremlin mama several more times, noting that the HP was down to 25 percent. She chugged another potion - her last one - and continued to kill it, hoping to get it killed before the slobber behemoth recovered. Moving quickly, she slashed at the wound she had already made at the gremlin mama's neck, then a few more slashes at her eyes. The gremlin mama retaliated, and viciously, until Feng was on the verge of death. "Shit, I'm almost dead," she griped, wishing she had more potions. "Then again, so is she. If I leave, she'll heal and all my hard work goes to waste. I can finish this, I can kick this asshole's...well, ass," she thought. She snarled once more, and continued her attack. Finally, she killed the gremlin mama. "Ha! I win..." She gasped, collapsing. She belatedly looked over at the slobber behemoth and made a face. "Shit, I'm doomed," she groaned, trying to stand. She was too tired and hurt to run or fight. "Oops," she said, her grin exhausted.

Fang had finished killing a couple more monsters, getting in deeper into the path until he heard a commotion. He raised an eyebrow and watched as two girls fought some monsters. One of them was just finishing a kill on a gremlin mother, but seemed too used up on stamina. He tilted his head, looking at the other monster she was about to kill. Or, might try to. "Need some help?" he asked the two, figuring he should at least try and be friendly in this crisis. He had his hand on the staff, since he didn't need the blade just yet.

Feng looked up from her prone position to see another player coming at them. "As much as I hate to give away a kill, by all means," she said, still panting heavily. "I"ll leave this one to you." She crawled to a tree and leaned up against it, and idly checked her loot. She received a massive amount of gold, plus gremlin claws and enough experience to have her close to leveling once more. "Wonder if I broke out even, with all the potions I had to use," She thought. Then, her mind drifted back to the virus. "Wonder when we'll get out? Guess I won't be going to class for a while...should I be disappointed about that?" She wondered. "Eh, que sera sera." She slowly felt some of her HP returning since she was resting. Still, she didn't bother to kill the monster and instead watched the impending fight.

He gave a small smirk and nodded before he tossed over a HP potion to her. "It'll help." he said, figuring she'd run out of the stuff. She looked like she needed it and he didn't want anyone to die yet. Not while he didn't know what could happen. The monster was a little under his level so this should be a good one. It was slow, for some reason, so this gave him an advantage as he shot a couple of throwing knives at its head and neck. It caused the slobber behemoth to recoil for a moment. He smirked a little. Running toward it swiftly he took the staff and pressed a button the blade popping out as he slashed at it's back. The monster reared to bite him, but he evaded it, kicking it to make it back away again. What's the weak point? He wasn't too sure.

Feng caught the potion and gratefully chugged it. "Thanks for that. I'll pay you back later," she told him, standing. She was feeling revived after the potion and unsheathed her butterfly swords. She was about to charge, but hesitated. Part of her was dying to continue fighting, but the other part didn't want to intrude. "That's how I make enemies. Restraint, girl, restraint!" She thought, biting her lip. She lowered her arms and was prepared to attack if the monster came near her.

Once again Kona was a spectator. She was watching another player take down yet another monster. And she had no qualms about it. Fighting was never her thing. That was why she chose to be a healer. Mindlessly killing monster after monster not only disgusted her but it made her feel somewhat guilty. She looked over at the first one Feng had killed, it was beginning to dissappear. Poor thing was only trying to defend it's child.
Kona shrugged and tried to get rid of her depressing thoughts by focusing on the fight at hand. She was guessing that the man was trying to find some sort of weak point. From further observation Kona couldn't figure it out either so she gave up and chose to pick dirt and grass from her clothes. Her pale legs had a few bruises on them form the battle. When she noticed them she glided her hand over them and they immidiately vanished. Anymore she had would have to wait until she got home.

Crystafare walked around the village as she was turning in some her quests. She noticed that some of the NPC's were getting agitated when she approached them. Typically they just sat there, and didn't say anything. Some of the NPC's were even asking for outrageous things, things that no "lowbie" would be able to get. Shrugging she decided that she would go back to the main city, and hunker down there for a little while. As she walked along the dirt path a black knight came charging at her almost knocking her over. It went running off in the opposite direction, only to turn around again and begin to charge again. Crystafare took a fighting stance and prepared to send a holy spell at it. "Holy Radiance!" yelled Crystafare. -Rage has been activated- There was a bright glow from the gem on top of her crystalfire staff. Typically the holy spell was a medium sized light ball of pure energy, but this time the energy ball was very large. The Holy spell went off connecting directly with the black knight sending the knight off of its horse. With the knight off it's horse the mount dismissed itself, and now she had to attack/defeat the black knight.

Fang continued to attack it, at various points of it's body, but the only spot that seemed to cause more than fifteen hit points was the forehead. He had yet to try the belly, since it kept it guarded well enough. He smirked, having figured it out. The monster still had at least half it's heath left, which was fine by him, since he still had plenty of stamina. He noticed the girl acting a bit eager, so he smirked. "You could join if you want." he said easily enough, striking it in it's belly when he saw the chance. Yes! It went down to 40% HP. This was good.

"Yes!" Feng said, instantly charging. She noted that the boy took off a lot of damage hitting the stomach, so she proceeded to distract it by striking at every single angle possible. The monster tried to attack her, blocking her swords with both hands. She was doing very little damage, but she hoped she was giving the boy an opportunity at the monster's stomach. She laughed to herself, enjoying herself immensely, even when the monster clawed her face. She didn't bother to wipe away the blood but continued attacking.

"Damn it!" Shadowed cursed to herself, she guessed she was on her own. No contact and little need for it now if no one was going to answer. She wandered outside the city limits slowly, crouching on the roof tops having seem some crazy stuff going on in the city, and she wasn't too keen on losing her head. She was so pissed and needed to kill something. She saw some low level gremlins. She smiled coldly and set up some traps, getting easy kills and decided she wanted to pick them off slowly. Without getting her hands dirty. She fired some daggers at some of them, a most of them hitting. She was satisfied to see health drop before she hopped down from her perch to pull out her claws. She slide them across each other to hear them sing before charging at one silently, hacking it's head off before the others noticed.
They all converged on her making her smile, she was deal with nothing over her level and was getting easy exp. So she didn't have to worry overly much about dieing. She hacked and slashed wildly at the monsters losing hp fast as she started to get reckless. She sighed then hopped out of the way, making her way back up the tree. And then she started firing off more daggers, then took some that exploded and landed them in a few heads. She managed to get the last one down and grinned to herself. She drank some potion and get back her hp and then smiled again, and she noticed she was just a little ways off from leveling up and cursed to herself. She needed that level, more stats and such would be helpful at the rate that she was going.
