Well thanks. I... I do like sluggy. A lot. But it's gotten really really wordy the past few years. No more quick jokes or puns. Well, not as many it seems.

That's how I write, anyways...

I notice that my writing style changes over time. Storys that I have yet to finish, when I go back and look at them, I wish that I could get that feeling and fall back into the way that I used to write. But then again, I wish I could make it mroe detailed, so I end up re-writing everything. Thus my problem and reason why I never finish any stories :stare:

Zephi: See, that's why I think its important to keep on writing, regardless of how much the style degrades. Just keep writing until you finish it, and then go back and edit it with fresh eyes. Otherwise you end up like this lady I once worked with who kept trying to publish her half-written vampire novels. >_>

Well I won't try to publish anything but I get to these points and I just get... stuck. Like I am now. And it all started with a name. I just couldn't come up with a good name for a place and it drained me completely of my writing energy. T^T

What my girlfriend does is she comes up with a placeholder name and then changes it accordingly when it comes time for editing.

I just left it blank... it's not giving it the right feel though. The place is supposed to be a prison that's inside a mountain, where it's common knowledge that whoever goes there isn't coming back out. And there's a lot of torture going on there. I want a not so scary sounding name, but original.... I can't come up with anything. T^T

Well, I'm a big fan of referencing history or language when it comes to naming places. And everyone loves Alcatraz! =D

...which makes me think of "Albatross." But that's more an appropriate name for a pirate ship.

Hmmm... yeah that would work but its a completely fictional world full of dragons and winglies and furrs. :lol: Something that sounds impregnable......... and why does that word sound like something that would get pregnant!? I mean... unescapable. Maybe that wors out better.
