Amara's eyelids fluttered ever-so-slightly as the assassins laid her down on a mattress. One of the men stayed behind as the other rushed back into the hall. The sounds of his movements were overbearing in her mind, and she could feel his heavy breath rippling over her skin. Goosebumps painted her skin as he neared, a wet cloth draping over her forehead. Large hands tucked under her knees as her legs were lifted, only to be put underneath cold blankets. A pressure licked at her neck as the man pulled the blanket to her chin, tucking it around her. Adonis beat his wings at the man when his fingers lingered at her jaw longer than the falcon liked. Eyebrows furrowing, she fought her own body, scouring through the darkness.

She sweat, yet cold shivers racketed through her. Jacob's soul was a fierce tiger in her mind, pacing from side to side and ramming into the sides of her skull. He growled in anger, sharp claws piercing through her mind. Fiercer and fiercer, he thrashed in the cage of her body. She tried to open her eyelids, only for them to be immovable. She fought to throw the covers off, only for her body to be frozen.

In the moments Jacob's soul ceased to thrash, she could feel his fingertips brushing over her face, his soul purring in her mind. She tried to smack his hand away, only for her hand to twitch. Her heart thrummed in fear she knew he could sense. It was what he was created to do, they were warriors bound by soul. His lips brushed against her pale ear, the fresh whiskers of hair scratching at her delicate skin, "Open your eyes, my mate," he whispered.

She obeyed silently, and a scream racketed from her lungs, scratching at her throat. Her own hazel eyes glowered down at her, a wry smile pulling at her lips, "What's wrong, darling....don't you want to be together?" Her lips moved with purpose, but it was his voice she heard, his voice that haunted her.

Her nostrils flared with the smell of burning flesh, and to her horror she watched her skin boil. It was waves of heated silk that adorned her, her skin raising and popping like boiling water. Whimpering, she begged the gods "Please, please...I'll do anything. What have I done? Why are you doing this to us?"

The two of her were melding together now, horrific slurping sounds ringing through her ears as they were suctioned together. She grabbed at the blankets, the sheets burning to ashes in her hands. Over her shoulder she could see herself disappearing into the figure, taking her in inch by horrific inch, until she was sucked into the whirlwind of her fate.

Kyoshi was flying through the trees, his two subordinates on either side. They could all her this low keening sound, like something was burning. I was strange and made him feel uncomfortable but they trekked on towards it. The flames were farther away now and they could all finally breath but the sound just kept getting louder.

They stopped about twenty yards from the source of the sound. The girl to Kyoshi's left nearly fell to her knees at the sight of the town before them. Torn bodies were everywhere, men, women and children strewn about like a child's toys. From the center of the carnage several black figures were gathered. The crying was coming from in their group, but from what Kyoshi could tell, it wasn't any of them, but a single source.

The commotion had slowed for the most part and Revan could finally breath. He had just tended to a young man brought back from the forest. He has severe burns running all along his left side and his hands had third degree burns from pushing at something that was on fire. It made his heart hurt, the boy was so desperate even as Revan healed his wounds.

He stood from his spot beside a now healed patient and headed towards his own room. Now that the flames were no longer a worry and most everything had calmed, Revan felt as if he had whiplash. His adrenaline was still running high, well higher than usual and it left him a little jittery. Walking down the quiet hall he looked out the window for a moment.

He was comfortable to be staring out the wide window but the scream that came from his room sent him running. Revan could hear Amara, screaming as if she was being murdered and he slammed open the door the find her writhing in the bed. He ran to her side and began to shake her awake.

Jacob's voice was sneering at her, laughing as she whimpered and cried out, his mixed eyes haunting her. Then it all started to shake, the room jittering energetically, her mirror crashing from the wall. Jacob was in her room, stalking her. He walked close, then the room would shake, causing him to fly back and tumble to the floor. She gripped to the bed desperately, tears burning at her frightened eyes as she gripped the headboard. I'm coming for you, Amara. I told you you can't hide from me. I'm part of you. I'm your only source of life. I'm. Part. Of. You. his tongue slithered against his lips tauntingly, beckoning her death to him. He could almost taste her.

His eyebrows furrowed fiercely as he snarled, lunging for her, his claws extended. As he grabbed at her wrists, yanking them from the wood head frame, his soul purred in her mind, rubbing it's ugly face against her skull. No. I do not want you. I do not.

Oh really...
his breath was hot on her face as he shook her Tell me Amara...why is it you do not just kill me, hm? Be done with both of us, hm? Tellll me darling. You can finish this. All you have to do is let me finish you. Give me your body, and I shall give you your soul...give it to me. You know it will be better...give. it. to. ME. His claws dug into her arms as he lifted her and threw her form the bed.

That's when Amara's eyes popped open, her fist flying up into his nose, blood gushing from his nose. Her legs pulled towards her chest as she prepared to kick- Wait...Revan? Gasping, she wiped the tears and sweat from her eyes to clear her vision. Sure enough, her dark haired pointed eared partner was rubbing at his nose as the broken bone popped back into it's place, the blood flow ceasing.

She fought the confusion, her souls purring as they slithered together enjoying the brief lapse in control, and she searched the room for her light haired nightmare. Her hazel eyes honed in on the shadows, even though she knew he could not be hear. She would feel it if he were here. His soul would alert her of his presence.

Her hair wished in the cold air as she whipped her head toward Revan, her wide eyes begging forgiveness. The frightened look on her face was out of place, a cold warrior replaced with a frightened and delicate woman. Her eyes glistened with her sadness and fright as she avoided his gaze, focusing on his healing nose instead. Her small hands shook, the presence of any man in this moment making her very stomach churn and her heart rate to soar. Her centuries of intelligence were overshadowed by her lapse of emotions, unable to wage against her only fear.

Revan was a little taken off guard when she broke his nose but at least she woke up.
"Amara, hey it's me, Revan." He stepped towards the bed and she began to shake.
"Amara please look at me. Everything's fine now. Your awake, safe and nobody's here." Revan attempted to move closer again but she was just like a spooked horse. He slowly let wisps of magic reach towards her to see if she was hurt an he was relived to find she was fine, physically.

Revan frowned and moved a little closer. He could feel something off about her, as if there was something attached to her, leeching of of her somehow. It was so faint though that he couldn't discern whether there was anything wrong at all.

He made to step even closer but she was trembling so badly that he didn't think she could handle him any closer so stopped and just watched her.

The crying was continuous and so loud that Kyoshi was tempted to just leave whatever was being tortured to just die. He wouldn't though, it went against his nature. He and the other two assassin's took position around the edge of the black covered figures. carefully they crept up on them until they were able to grab hold of them and knock them out.

Kyoshi stood over the bodies for a moment but they weren't all that important. He turned to the thing that was curled up in a ball on the floor and was surprised to see that it was something very much not human.

Amara's chest rose and fell quickly as she allowed her hazel eyes to meet his. She could see the gentleness in his nature, but her nightmare clouded her vision, and she had to blink again to discern that it was really Revan and not Jacob disguising himself. Her pupils dilated, unable to hide using her ability due to her weakness, and was able to define by his molecules that it was Revan. Jacob did not have molecules so soft as Revan's.

Her eyes were a wild frantic storm calming into the subtle waves of a beach as she gripped at the blanket. Her nightgown stuck to her small figure with sweat from her dream, her hair knotted from thrashing on the bed. Adonis perched next to her on the futon, his beak rubbing along her arm every so often in adoration and an attempt to calm the one person he cared for. Glancing at the bird, she sighed in defeat, her shakes dissipating gradually as she fought for words. the two souls that dominated inside her were pacing in her mind as she regained control over them.

"My apologies...I thought you were someone else, Revan," she looked up at him, pulling the sheets around her, gripping it against her chest.

Jacob sat up in his bed, rubbing at his eyes as he was struggling with the strong waves of emotions coming from Amara. The delicate blond lying next to him rolled towards him, sighing in satisfaction as she lulled back into slumber. Grumbling, her closed his eyes, trying to forget the dream they shared, and the feelings she had from it.

Revan, knowing she was more... stable, moved close to the bed and looked at her questioningly to see if he could sit. She made no move away or towards him so he smiled gently and sat down.
"Are you okay?" He kept to himself but he wanted to touch her, take her in his arms and keep her safe.
"You seem to be doing a lot better, but, what had you so scared?"

The two assassin's were kneeling beside the curled creature, their eyes watching it closely for any movement but it remained mostly still now. Kyoshi was perplexed, he hadn't seen one of these since he was little. Everything he'd read and heard about them was so long ago that even he struggled to remember. the creature let out a pitiful cry, but it was softer, no longer in extreme duress.

"Be careful when you lift it, the body is very delicate right now." He stood with crossed arms as the two assassin's draped a blanket over the creature and began to move it onto a makeshift gurney. The creature moaned in protest but remained still as it was relocated. Once the two assassin's had it situated Kyoshi motioned for them to go.
"We'll have to go around what's left of the flames, but still be careful!" They nodded their heads in acknowledgment and sped of, Kyoshi following close behind them.

{{AHA! You have a ton of mistakes in that one! Muahaha. I have found an error.}}

Amara sighed, her knees pulling up towards her chest protectively, her hazel eyes distant. She nibbled on her bottom lip for a second as she debated what to say. She'd only told one other person her story, and the Gods had Jacob kill him when he found Amara and her friend. She'd never seen an immortal so furious as Jacob was when he sliced Sahim's throat. She'd been hiding with him in Persia, trading protection from his neighbors who sought his land, and in return he allowed her a hideaway in his home. Jacob had learned of her betrayal and had gone into a blood lust for the man, feral as he sliced the man with his elongated nails. He was a demon in that moment, as if he were the devil himself...Could she do that to Revan? Could she risk his death? Just to have someone to talk to? Though....considering Revan had held up against her, and healed so quickly, couldn't he hold his own against him? Yes, he could...there's a whole assassin clan that has his back...

Her hazel eyes locked onto Revan's, her face set in concentration, "If I tell you, it cannot leave your mouth again, nor mine. If any others find out what I have told you, I will have to leave the academy, and you will never hear from me again. And by telling you I am putting you at a great risk...If they find out you know, you will be tracked, you will be observed, and then you will be killed," she paused, a glint in her eyes as she got an idea. Tit for tat, yes? "As well, if I tell you, you must tell me something personal of your own of equal secrecy." She waited, watching for either him to leave, or to agree.

Revan considered her proposal, it's not like he'd never been hunted before. And it's not as if he had any secrets that could harm him or anyone else. It was easy to conclude that there would be no problems.
"I'll tell you whatever you want to know, of course, after you've told me what's going on." Revan smiled gently to her and waited for her to begin.

Rain had just begun to fall in thick torrents. It pummeled them from all sides and seemed to be trying to take them down. The two assassin's right in front of Kyoshi forced their way on, moving as fast as they could through the unrelenting rain. Kyoshi watched them though mostly their passenger to be sure none slipped.

He couldn't believe what they had found, something this rare was highly sought after to sell on the black market, but they also made great fighters. Kyoshi could never comprehend selling a living, thinking creature. It went against all his morals.

The rain was becoming a serious problem when he noticed that the assassin's footing was beginning to slip. He called through the rain to them and ordered both to go to the ground where they wouldn't fall. He followed them down and had them stop to hear him better.
"We have to get home tonight, we can't afford to delay otherwise we risk losing it. If you must stop then step aside and let me take over." Neither assassin stepped back so he nodded in approval and motioned for them to go.

{{Did you make that Ezio egg??? Gyaa I WANT it :P }}

Amara nibbled on her bottom lip nervously, her stomach clenching in anticipation. Jacob's soul was pacing in her mind, growling and snarling as it clawed at her skull. It knew her intentions, and it was furious. Would Jacob himself find out this time? Would he hunt down Revan? Would it make it easier for him to find her after she told him?

Sighing, once more, her chin propped on her knee as she gazed across the room. Her hazel eyes were distant, images flashing across her eyes as she spoke, "I was created from the blood of a Goddess, fire, water, earth, and air. My god created me as an immortal warrior, nearly impossible to kill, with it's only purpose to hunt and kill. It was a battle between the Gods and Goddesses, and we were the pawns. When the Gods and Goddesses stopped creating my kind- Elites- it was decided among them to have the remaining Elites fight to the death. And we did. We fought days, and we fought nights. We fought through tears in our wombs, and limbs severed, each one of us more ferocious than the last. We died off quickly, growing weaker as our kin were killed, until it was finally down to me and one other man," a shiver ran down her spine.

"His name is Jacob, and we stalked each other like prey for moments, unable to attack. His God and my Goddess appeared, furious that we were not trying to kill each other, and demanded it. Even with their demands, we could not come to attack. The creators were disgusted, creatures created for killing and here we stood unable to. I guess there was also a curiosity in their hearts, because they decided to make a sick game out of it. They bonded him and I, in soul and in body. We feel the same, both physically and emotionally. Now, I don't mean we are physically the same. I mean, if I get hit, he feels it too. So, when one of us dies, so does the other. And we are supposed to kill each other. Unable to meet the request, I ran. I hide from him, and each time he finds me we fight and I flee before any death. We are eachother's source of death and life. We are drawn to each other, but our bond is forbidden and frowned upon. We are star crossed lovers to the extreme," she looked at the mirror, seeing both her and Jacob in her haunted eyes.

Revan looked awed. How was he supposed to come up with a secret that great? Of course he wasn't just considering that, what kind of person would he be? This explained a lot. The bond between then was creating that strange dark energy that seemed to be leeching off of her. Her violent nature was easy to understand now. The dreams were as well.

Now, what could he give her of equal value? What was there to give? He shifted until he was leaning against the wall and looking out the window. His massive wings were tucked against him and folding almost like fabric across the bed.
"That's amazing, but, I'm afraid none of my secrets are even close to that important." He fidgeted with a loose string on his pants.
"I have prophetic dreams, I can't control them but they're always about someone dying. I've used the gift to save my comrades before so I've manipulated the future in a sense but half the time It's just some morbid play that I have no choice but to watch. I guess I should add more huh?"

He sighed and rest his head against the wall.
"I sing, pretty well... and I um, I'm in love with a er, guy." He gave her a quick sideways glance then stared intently at his hands. His tan cheeks were flushed and he looked about ready to crawl under the bed and die.

The Base was in sight, it was still a ways off but close enough they could barely make out the lights through the rain. Kyoshi was now carrying the back end of the makeshift gurney while one of the assassin's moved beside him. The weight of the creature was heavy enough that even Kyoshi could understand not being able to hold it for long. He motioned for the two assassin's to switch.
"We're almost there just keep going!" They were almost home, that's all that they needed to push through.

Her hazel eyes widened slightly, and she turned her head away to hide the facial expression. So he was gay then? It may not be as life and death as hers, but in the mortal world that was a huge deal. She did not understand why. In the heavens sex was something to enjoy with everyone. She had never tried, since she was not created to mate, but the Gods and Goddesses were very public with their reandezvous. Women were with women, women were with men, men were with both men and women. They mated in groups sometimes as well.

To be honest, her widened eyes were not in distaste, but in shock. She had not expected this from him. He seemed very manly. Though..she hadn't been around many gays in her time seeing as humans frowned upon it, but it made sense now. He was far too sweet and far too appealing emotionally to be straight. No straight male understood what women wanted so well.

As her hazel eyes narrowed back to normal, she swiveled her head towards him, "Do you plan on telling me who such a man is that he can grasp your feelings so completely?"

She patted the bed next to her and scooted over for him. She may be created for war, but she did enjoy what human females called 'gossip'. It was a nice outlet for her emotions.

"Love is not to be taken lightly, though. Craving someone," she hesitated, holding back the flush of her cheeks, "sexually is far different from being in love. Are you sure it is love?"

She had thought she'd been in love before. It was the only reason she could think of that she could not bear her blade against Jacob's neck, but she had talked herself out of that. She could not love an arch nemesis. Perhaps since they were of the same kind, she just craved his body...

Revan was blushing furiously now. he had no idea what to do now that he'd finally told someone, and for her to just begin asking him such random questions he was so lost. He saw her shift for him to move closer but he struggled to find the will to do so, so he settle with just facing her and leaning against the base of his bed.
"I don't think I'll tell you his name, but, er, I really do think it's love. Lust is not, um, something that I would ever allow myself, even though...." Revan trailed off and frowned.

He had been genetically manipulated to be able to, procreate, a lot. They were planning to breed him before he had escaped, it was part of the reason he ran in the first place, but... Why would he lust after a man who would bear no child? So it had to be love, it was the only thing he could think of unless... no he was definitely a man.
"I've felt this way for a long time, and it's only with him. He, he's always been there for me, through my best days and my worst. He cleaned me up after my wings were released, he's taken care of me when I was blind, he's consoled me when I've had to watch friends die and I could do nothing about it." Revan looked out the window again and watched the rain, his eyes clouded over in confusion.
"I've felt this way for so long so why hasn't he noticed or said anything?"

Just at that moment lightning flashed and Revan leapt from his bed to run to the window.
"Kyoshi!" Revan ran out his door without a second though to meet the three assassin's running towards the house.

The mud was like quicksand beneath their feet but they trudged on. Kyoshi was now holding the front as the Two assassin's held one handle each at the back. Kyoshi could see even through the dark Revan running out in nothing but white pants. Of course the kid would be weird enough to run out half naked, wouldn't be Revan is he didn't. He ran to meet them and took the back handles from the exauhsted assassins.
"We're taking this to the containment room!" Kyoshi couldn't see Revan's face but he knew what he would find.
"This can't be left out, the masters need to approve it before we can do anything!" Revan yelled something behind him but it was lost in a crack of thunder.

Once they got inside The two assassin's collapsed against the walls and Revan and Kyoshi rushed the creature off to a containment room. It took five minutes of quick maneuvering before they reached the massive metal doors. Two massive bars were lifted and the door swung open for them to enter. Revan wanted to protest as they set the creature down on the ground but the glare from Kyoshi left him silent.
Before both of them left Revan stepped close to the creature and lifted the blanket over it's sopping head and gasped.
"Kyoshi, is this... an Engelon?!"

Amara stood from the bed to race after her partner, curiosity peaking at what the fuss was about, but as her delicate hands skimmed across door frame she heard someone clear her throat behind her. Goosebumps spread over skin, her back stiff, as she pivoted on her feet. Sitting in the windowsill, preening her hair was the Goddess Aphrodite, her crystalline eyes pooling with pride.

"Do you not bow to your Goddesses?" The woman's voice was like pure silk licking at Amara's skin.

"You are not my creator. I Bow to my creator, for I am their child, and not yours," Amara's chin was tilted up stubbornly.

Some might fear the creators, but Amara being of their blood did not fear them, "I am a creator, but I will allow this great show of pride. I did not come her to argue with you, Elite. I came to," Aphrodite paused as she contemplated how to say what came next, the scantily clad toga toppling over her shoulder and revealing part of her bosom.

"You came to...."Amara questioned.

"Hush, Elite," Aphrodite was in front of her in the blink of an eye, her lips wet from licking them, "Have you ever wondered why you and your fellow Elite, Jacob," the name was a purr coming out of her lips, "could not come to battle each other? Why the Gods bonded the two of you, giving the both of you a death sentence? Hm?" Aphrodite's slim fingers stroked through Amara's knotted hair.

"They did not know what to do with us," Amara looked up into the eyes of the Goddess with determination glinting in her hazel irises.

"Oh tsk tsk tsk my darling...." A smile pulled at the corner of her lips, "When do the Gods not know something, hm? They knew exactly what would happen," Aphrodite was circling around Amara, her breath hot on her, "They played you, as the mortals would say. Played you like a harp."

"Why are you telling me this," Amara was stern to hide her confusion. All of the Goddesses's points made sense, and were hitting home. And the Goddess knew exactly what effect she was having.

"Oh you know how I love to," she paused again, a breathy sigh, "entice things. They will know I am coming to you, and such fun I will have watching your fate unfold. It was happening far too slow for my taste..."

"And what is my fate?"

"Oh tsk tsk tsk, like I would tell you such a thing. That would be blasphemy in itself. I am merely helping you solve this mystery. The Gods enjoy watching you and that delicious creature you call Jacob wither in a torterous game of cat and mouse. It saves them from having to do the dirty work. Think about this carefully," the words were a slither from her tongue "why are you two the ones that survived? Why would they bond you, hm?"

"Have you spoke of this to Jacob?" Amara's cracked when she said his name, and the sound of Aphrodites joyful sigh slithered into her mind.

Revan was shocked and getting thoroughly outraged as he stripped more of the blanket from the Engelon's body. The dull shimmer of its once florescent wings made his heart ache. The scars running across its back and chest and trailing below the blanket were from long time abuse. The eyes were sewn shut, as a way to prevent it captivating anyone and using someone to get free. Revan was exceedingly relieved to see that it still had teeth.

"Kyoshi, where did you find it?!" Revan began to use his magic to slowly check over the Engelon's body, gently healing the smaller wounds and relieving the pain of the larger one.
"It was surrounded by a bunch of people in black; it was making this god awful howling sound." Kyoshi examined Revan's interactions with the creature and could understand his anger.

Revan had no idea he knew but Kyoshi had seen what had been done to him, he'd read all the files, many of which just covering his genetic enhancements. There was a deep genetic connection between Revan and the Engelon’s; he shared many of their traits in magic and in looks. Kyoshi suspected that not even Revan knew how similar they were.

“Revan… I know this has to be hard for you, but we have to leave it here until the masters have approved of it and…”
Revan swung his head to face Kyoshi, his eyes narrowed and his pupils’ thin slits across the lapis blue eye and his neon blue eye.

“We can’t just leave it here, it could die!”
Kyoshi wanted to protest, tell Revan he was overreacting but from the way the man looked ready to tear him apart he didn’t think it would be a good idea to push for anything relating to the Engelon.

“What do you propose then, it can’t just sit out where anyone can see it.”
Revan turned away from him and began to gently stroke a trembling, feathered arm.
“I’ll stay with him. You can go report him to the masters but I’m not leaving it alone.”
It was so hard to get irritated with the guy, Revan was nothing but gentle and caring to everything except in a fight and even then he almost never went for the kill. Kyoshi sighed, knowing that nothing would work otherwise so he let it go.

“Fine, I still have to close the door.” Revan just nodded and continued to heal the Engelon. There was nothing left to do except close the door, and Kyoshi watched nervously as the two were engulfed in inky blackness.
“I’ll be as fast as I can, please be okay…” With that Kyoshi fled down the halls towards the masters hidden beneath the ground reaching towards the center of the earth.

At the mention of Jacob's name, Aphrodite gave a small purr of delight, "Speaking is the last thing I crave to do to that man."

"So you have spoken to him," Amara's eyelashes fluttered in slight disbelief. Amara's heart beat against her ribs like a hummingbird.

"I did not say that," the Goddess tsked, her tongue peeking out from her lips. The scent of sweet sensual female misted off of Aphrodite, the woman's presence as gentle caress in itself.

"Do not play games with me, Goddess. Make your point and be on your way," Amara's arms folded over her chest. She waited for a few moments, Aphrodite's breath hot on her neck. After a mere breath or two Amara turned her neck, her chest rising and falling with anticipation, until finally she had swiveled in a full circle. The famous Goddess had left the room, probably back to her beckoning lovers.

--------------------------------

Aphrodite's palms splayed on the cold marble floor, her forehead pressing against the stone, her legs tucked under her bottom, "It is done."

"Good," a croaky voice came from the room, and Aphrodite wished so much that she could peek. Just one look, and she could know how was blackmailing her. She could see the evil voice that haunted her dreams. Was it a God she knew of? A demon?

"May I," She hesitated, fearful of retaliation for demanding something. Her heart thrummed in her eardrums as she waited.

"Oh, you want it now, hm? We shall tell you when you get it, now leave our presence before we change our mind on even letting you live," When Aphrodite took too long he growled furiously, "NOW."

Aphrodite allowed the pull of her lovers to take her to the heavens, but that night her mind was too distraught to lay with her lovers. Instead, she lay on the cushions of silk, her longs hair cascading down her body, her crystalline eyes distant as she pondered what to do. Who could she really trust? Either way...if she reached out it would only be chaos.

-------------------

Jacob was across the world, studying a map furiously as usual, his thick fingers sliding over the map eagerly. Brows furrowed, his mind reeled. Fighting her soul inside him, he tried to fend off the strong emotions coming from her, as he attempted to focus on the map. He was close...he was so close. Only half of the world was left...He could either begin his trek and travel until he could feel the tug of her soul, or he could wait in patience a little longer for clues from her. Right now he could feel her anger, her frustration, confusion, fear, and so much more. She was so overcome with emotions, that it was making him sick to his stomach. For once couldn't the woman control herself? Couldn't she train herself after all these centuries to control her feelings, or were even the Gods unable to create such a woman? Wait, his nostrils flared in anger, "Who are you with?"

It was dark. So dark that it felt as if Revan had no body, that he ceased to exist. This non existence wasn't so bad though, he had curled himself around the Engelon and was gently stroking it's soft hair. He tried not to open and close his eyes, tried to just keep them shut at the world they currently existed in was sucking the life from them.

The room was designed to weaken, make vulnerable even the invulnerable. Revan could feel magic seeping from him like a small stream, just pouring out and making his body ache. The air was so heavy, he felt so tired, but the Engelon needed him to be there, needed someone to keep it safe. He ran a hand gently over it's form and concluded that it was currently female, it's chest shuddering on every inhale.

"It's okay, Kyoshi will be back soon, please just be strong." It made a keening sound, soft and deep. Revan was almost startled by the shift of it's form, so gradual that he might not have even noticed had his hand not been resting over a fluttering heart that now seemed to be slowing.
"Everything will be fine, I'll never let anything hurt you."

The way to the masters was a maze. Kyoshi understood that they needed to be safe but this was just ridiculous. Time was passing and every second Revan stayed in that room sapped him of energy and strength, if he didn't hurry Revan might have permanent damage, constant draw on his magic could permanently damage his control.

He kept moving but it was nearing an hour since he had left to get to the masters, how much longer could Revan handle? He jumped across a trap floor and began to climb up a ladder against the wall.
"Please Revan, be okay."

Amara's small knees were tucked against her chest protectively, her hazel eyes distant as she contemplated. Her eyelashes fluttered, casting streaks of despair on her porcelain cheeks. Her nostrils flared every so often when her mind switched thoughts. There was all too much to take in, even for an immortal. She had been about to do something, then Aphrodite came and left multiple puzzles for Amara to solve. They all made sense, though. Why had the Gods bonded her and Jacob in such a way? And why were Jacob and her the last left? Was it really purposeful by the Gods? She had always thought it was because they were the best warriors...but if this was a game for the God's would it have mattered who was the last left in the battle? And if they knew Jacob and Amara would not be able to kill each other, why would they make them the last two? And why would they care? What were two lesser creations to the Gods? The Elites were left to die off anyways, cast off by the Gods like last month's toy, so why did they put so much effort in making things harder on the Elites? Why make such specific restraints? Ugh...there were so many thoughts and so no answers...did Jacob know the answers? Is that why she wouldn't answer directly if she'd spoken with him? Because the goddess didn't want to admit she didn't have the upper hand with him?

Her thoughts were interrupted by Adonis's screech. Her eyes snapped into focus as she looked towards the doorway where he was standing, his head tilted. Where was he to warn her of the Goddess's arrival? Or to wake her up from her dream? The falcon hopped a few paces into the hall, then out of sight. Furrowing her brows, she obediently stood, and followed her faithful and only family member. The bird upon seeing her took off into flight, and her small feet padded on the floor quietly as she gave chase behind him.

Through the hallways it led her, in directions she had not yet felt the need to explore. After a while, she wondered if there was actually a reason he was leading her in such a way, but soon regretted doubting her companion when she found him perched on the floor by a door. She stood in the doorway she had just opened, her hazel eyes observant and respectful as she stared at a creature a fellow Elite had created. After looking through it's molecular levels to ensure she was correct, her eyes widened, a soft gasp escaping her lips. That's why Revan's levels had been familiar, but she couldn't place it. Revan's levels had a distinct match with the creature...what was it called? She could not place a finger on it...

"Revan," her voice was a whisper coming from her lips, barely audible as it swirled into the room's air, surrounding them with the silence that followed.

Revan was lying unconscious on the floor, his arms securely wrapped around the Engelon. The Engelon lifted his head slowly, and sniffed at her. It's sewn eyes looked dead but the full lips were angelic as they moved to smile. He trilled softly and bent over Revan's head and hummed into his ear, communicating to him without any actual words.

Revan slowly moved and his eyes opened, the blues were almost a grey as he stared blankly through everything. the Engelon shifted and moved so it's great feathered legs were tucked beneath it as his long pale arms began to lift Revan up and off the ground. He held Revan like a prized gift and cradled his head against a strong shoulder.

The Engelon moved it's head in the direction of Amara, using smell it began to step forward until he stood before her. He leaned forwards, his massive florescent wings reflecting the light as if they were crystal and his pale white hair glimmered and rippled about his head. He could smell something off her, as if he could see her awe, and her discomfort and the Engelon morphed again, taking on the form of a tall, lithe woman. Even with the shift she had no trouble holding Revan up.

No that she was standing she towered over Amara. She looked to be six feet and seven inches tall but completely proportionate and very attractive. Her ample breasts were hidden beneath a shawl of feathers and the feathers also covered her more intimate parts.

As they stood sizing one another up Revan let out a groan. His massive black wings dropping feathers all around him and the Engelon. The Engelon frowned and shifted so it could feel one of Revan's wings better to only get a handful of feathers. She looked startled and scared at Revan then to Amara.

Kyoshi had finally reached the masters' doors. The massive white wood looked almost petrified in the dim hall. He stepped forward and knocked as loud as he could. Normally someone would be there but there wasn't any one at the moment so he bounded the door a few more times until he heard something sigh.

The door opened with a mighty creaking sound. He didn't hesitate to step in, his footsteps brisk against the cool stone floor.
"Masters, I have come to ask for you to approve a new creature into the clan." The silence was deafening, nothing seemed to be alive or moving in the terribly dark room.
"It's an Engelon and Revan has," Kyoshi was cut off by a chorus of chatter.
"Engelon." "Could it be?" "Were did it come from?" swarms of questions fell from bodiless lips and Kyoshi struggled to remain poised and calm.
"Please, approve it so that I can take Revan and it out of the containment room."

{{Engelon's can speak telepathically but only with a kiss which creates a simple bond that allows it to tap into}}

Amara’s eyes set on Revan as a low muffle escaped his lips. The creature had a frantic gaze as well, and Amara wondered if the Engelon could sense that they were of the same kind. The bond in creations might have spurred a sudden bond between the two, the Engelon clinging to one of it’s kind. That didn’t mean she would be able to help Revan, though.

Amara’s foot stepped through the barrier into the containment room, the cold stone sending shivers up her spine. Her moves were cautious and paced as she eyes the creature, unwilling to remove her gaze from the creature in precautions. The eyes were sewn shut, but with each cautious step Amara took, the Engelon’s nostrils flared. She had researched it’s kind before when they were used as a weapon against her God’s Elites, and knew instantly the eyes were sewn shut as a precaution. Even Amara, a known enemy in her times of the Engelon due to her history with them, could not imagine the type of person that could do this to a living breathing creature.

Her hazel eyes slowly drew down the tall Engelon to Revan’s face. His eyes were slitted and unalert, his head lolling with each breath the Engelon drew in and let out. His dark hair fell from his head like rippling silk, and Amara slowly reached out. Careful not to touch the creature, her fingers pressed into Revan’s neck. There was a pulse, but as her pupils dilated and she zoomed in towards his molecular levels she could see what was wrong. He was weakening from losing his magic. Why was it leaving him? Knowing if he lostall of his magic, he might very well die, she looked up at the towering creature, “He needs out of here.”

Her voice was stern, but quickly died off as a loud chink echoed off of the walls. Her hair flew through the air, brushing against Revan and the Engelon as she locked onto the door. She had allowed herself to be so distracted that the door had shut behind her. Her heart began to pound against her ribs as she whirled and ran to the door, her small hands pulling at the metal desperately, becoming more frantic as the seconds ticked by. Realizing the door self-locked from the outside, her heartbeat pounded unbearably in her mind, her souls hissing and growling, slamming into the sides of her skull.

She refused to scream for help however, until she looked back at the room, and saw Revan’s magic intertwining with the molecules of air. Realization seeped into her mind…the room was taking the energy. Seeing a small percent of her own, not yet enough to weaken her, she became frantic. Her small fists pounded at the door, Adonis screeching for her from the other side. She couldn’t die here, not like this. Her fate was to die at Jacob’s hands. She was not prepared for this. And Revan..he came to help and was now suffering for his cause. The Gods could not be so cruel to someone undeserving of it.

The Engelon was quiet as Amara panicked against the door, the dark was of no consequence to it and the constant magic flowing from the man in her arms was enough to feed her for months. Her massive florescent wings were now glowing softly, penetrating the dark with prism colors.

Revan was so tired, his mind was slow and his body felt like lead. The Engelon's strong arms were warm against his chilled body. something was falling.

The Engelon held Revan closer as his body began to shiver and the light from her wings cast strange ill looking shadows across his face. His wings looked broken as they brushed against the ground . The Engelon kneeled again with Revan still in her arms and changed back to a male, looking oddly familiar but it was impossible to really tell.

The masters were in a flurry of sound, their voices lost in the overlap of one another. Kyoshi glared into the darkest, waiting for them to stop but they seemed incapable of reason now. He was growing tired with their banter and every moment he spent down here was a moment Revan was left to suffer.

He knew what was happening, he could almost see the magic draining like blood from Revan's body. He'd seen it once before in fact, when they had first brought him to the clan and had to leave him there for three days. Were it not for the fact that the room was meant to make the incarcerated person immobile and weak, not kill, Revan would have been dead. It didn't take away that he could spend weeks, or even month recovering.

"Masters!" They thundered to a halt and waited quietly as Kyoshi stood before them, his face drawn.
"I need you to decide soon, Moore is still in there waiting for you to decide." They were silent for a while.
"The healer boy." "Engelon is with him." "He could be hurt." "Foolish."
"Please! I need to know what to do."

"Let them out, watch them, hold them somewhere, but not in there." Kyoshi felt a woosh of air escape him in relief. He ran from the room as fast as he can. Revan was strong, he could handle a little more, just two more hours.

Amara's breath was becoming more laborious, which shocked her. As a creature made for war, she was very very athletic, and did not ware easily. In fact, she could run kilometers after kilometers and not shed a single drop of sweat or release a single pant. Now, she was struggling to draw in each breath from merely beating on the door and crying for help a time or two. She'd been this frantic before, though, so it did not make sense that such a pitiful act had created such a problem for her breathing.

Turning from the door, realizing her antics were pointless as her back pressed against the cold metal of the door. Adonis's beak was scratching at the material from the other side, and Amara's eyelids fluttered close, her face crumpling. Her head lolled on the door, her ear pressing against it as she spoke to her only family, "I hear you out there...It will all be okay. I will be fine Adonis..."

The room was lit well by the colorful hues off of the Engelon's wings, Amara's pupils dilated only from watching the energy swirl through the air. Revan was slumped in the creatures arms, and Amara was nearly furious that the creature was caring for her partner rather than herself. When she was in need of aid, he healed her. Now that he's in need of aid, she doesn't get to be the one to help? It isn't right...this should be her duty. Her eyes roved back up her-no his, it had morphed once again-eyes, and she stared at the sewn shut lids. She knew it was probably possible to cut out the string, and heal the creature's eyes, but Amara did not want the creature to have it's greatest weapon back...She knew how dangerous those creatures could be.

Her gaze rose to the light hair, nearly white, and followed the strand's flow down the face, gazing over the nose and to the...Those lips. Amara's own lips pursed as her brows furrowed, her heart leaping in her chest. Confused, Amara tore her gaze away. She could not place it, but the creature's features were so...familiar. And just looking at the creature caused Jacob's soul inside her to leap into a ferocious fit. It clawed at her mind, it's sharp teeth bared as it hissed and bit, slamming it's shoulders against her skull.

--------------

Jacob's hand rested over his heart as he opened the heavy wooden door. She was a virgin with angelic white hair and features delicate and slim. She was average height for a female, but athletic for the village. Her hazel eyes were wide as she looked up at him in confusion, no doubt wondering if she did something wrong. She was to be married off to her neighbor later that week, and the village decided to send her to the God in the mountains to gift her with fertility and sexual prowess. It was rumored among the mortals that when a woman laid with the God in the mountains, the female boasted with fertility and sexuality, giving birth to a very healthy and strong child. A few times men had even been sent to him, and each time he sent the man back with a furious message. The mortals knew the type of women he preferred, and trying to tempt him with a male had been insulting.

His breath was labored, a dizziness swirling through his mind, intoxicating him as he swayed on his feet. Eyelashes fluttering, he watched Amara's soul inside him screeching, gripping it's head as it curled up in him. His soul laughed, but kept it's distance, pacing around her like a hunter waiting for his prey to make the game fun. It was no fun if it was given to you. But her soul remained curled up in agony, sweat drenching it.

Kyoshi was almost there, not more than twenty minutes. He nearly tripped over a trap wire but managed to roll before killing himself. He could already feel the shift in the air as he reached closer and closer to the fresh air. Stale air be damned, he was going to be free, just a little longer!

The colors seemed to bounce off the walls, creating amazing displays of light around them. The Engelon stood and moved to Amara, still cradling Revan in his arms. He gently reached out and touched her heaving shoulder. When Amara turned on him he let her, not because he couldn't see but because it didn't matter. As she growled and hit him uselessly he managed to grab hold of one flailing wrist.

It's face was serene as it let her vent, of course angling Revan in his arms so that he wouldn't get hurt. Once Amara was gasping and shuddering for breath it smiled gently and moved close to her. He kissed her chastely on the lips. It only took a moment, so brief that she wouldn't have noticed, had it not been for the shock that ran through her body. It wasn't anything painful but definitely strange.

Before she could retaliate he spoke to her through the new bond they had formed.
"Be calm comrade." It was silk to the mind and lent a calming effect to her crazed thoughts, letting her regain some control of herself.
"Everything is fine. It is only this room that is making you feel this way." His massive wings spread, casting brilliant colors everywhere but they never seemed to hit any walls, just kept going until they disappeared in the devouring dark.
"This room is meant to house possible threats, it is not designed to leech ones life but to leave them immobile, make them harmless until a decision is made."

The engelon lifted it's head to face to door, sensing something that she currently could not.
"He is coming for us now, just a while longer."

Annalesia's fingers brushed against her lips, her head moving away from the his subtly. Her hazel eyes were wide, her pupils dilated as she stared at him. She wanted to reach out, for her claws to scrape at his cheek, and her souls to devour the pain that came from it. In the shock of the kiss, her nails had not elongated, because she could not become angry in such a stage. All she could do was stare at him, her lips parted ever so slightly, her eyelashes casting shadows over her cheeks. She knew the creatures were famous for seducing, but she had in her research that they seduced through their eyes, so how had the kiss created such a calm shock through her? Her soul had purred at the gentle caress, rubbing it's head against her skull, whilst Jacob's had growled at the impending threat.

She could hear the silky voice in her mind, and had heard the same before. They all had that husky or silky sound to them, one that send shivers through mortals, melting them at the knees. The voice was a powerful weapon. Her she was, an immortal with centuries of research and training against such creatures, and she was too dumbfounded to move. All she could forge was a small squeak that slipped through her parted lips.

In all of her centuries alive, she had never allowed a man to kiss her, and while she had not allowed this one, her body was not permitting her to act out on it. In her right mind she would have attacked the beast. Yes, she would have gone for blood, her primal instincts too strong to fight.

Mixing with the fire of her confusion, shock, and anger, she had a calmness that was rippling through her veins with each passing second. While the creature was an enemy, it's words were very comforting. A tremble swept through her of both uncomfortableness within herself at the moment, and relief that her fate had not been altered. She had spent centuries becoming accustomed to what was to become of her, and the thought of dying in this room was dreadful. The creature had given her hope. Although...a demon from Pandora's box itself, hope was a nasty thing. It's lifted one's spirits to the clouds, then plummeted them to the Earth with the shattering despair of reality. Her ears did not sense anyone coming close, and she thought for sure she would hear Adonis's warning. At the thought she realized she had not heard anything from Adonis since the kiss, and she opened her mouth to yell, but instead almost fell to the floor. Her small hand latched onto the door for support, unwilling to leave Revan at the creature's whim, yet alone her own body. No, she would cling to each strand of consciousness she still contained until someone came looking for them. Surely, someone would look...Surely..what was she saying? It was important..A dark haze clouded over her thoughts, her eyelids fluttering, and her fingers tightened on the door, her knuckles white. She would not allow this damned room to weaken her so easily. She was an immortal for the heaven's sake...She should not be so weak.

When Kyoshi threw open the door to the room The Engelon was kneeling on the ground with Revan's head resting on one leg and Amara's on the other. It lifted it's head to him and smiled gently as he locked the door open.
"What is she doing in here?" He stepped forwards and the Engelon gently lifted Amara to him. He took her up gently and watched carefully as the Engelon stood and cradled Revan, it's currently male form seeming to block out anything that could hurt him.
"I don't know what's going on but if you did anything to them I will have no problems ending you." He glared at the Engelon but stepped out so that it could follow.
"I have to take you somewhere secure, follow me."

They walked silently, Kyoshi occasionally turning to watch the creature and be sure it wasn't doing anything suspicious before focusing on the task at hand.
"I don't know how he did it but, you look alive again. I hope you know that I do not like you, at all. Your are a threat until otherwise stated and I will treat you as such." Kyoshi was really just blowing off steam, his stress levels leaving him angry. The Engelon seemed to realize this and let him rant.
"So... do you talk?" Kyoshi looked back at the creature to see it's response. It did nothing but smile gently.
"Fine, be mysterious, I don't care. Didn't want to listen to you anyway."

They reached two solid redwood doors and Kyoshi pulled the key out to get in.
"You'll be staying in here for a while so better get used to it." The doors swung open to one massive empty looking space. It was too big to be a standard room but to small to be similar to the dining hall. The roof was high above their heads and several twin beds lined one wall.
"Take him to the bed over there. Er..." Kyoshi turned remembering the creature couldn't see but that seemed to not be an issue. It walked steadily to a bed and gingerly placed Revan atop it, arranging his wings so they wouldn't cramp.
"Never mind."

Kyoshi followed suit {{grr, what's the proper spelling}} and placed Amara in the bed beside Revan. Her pale hair glistened on the creme colored sheets. He stepped away after placing a light blanket over her and stared blankly at them. Now that everything was fine his heart and mind were slowing down and it left him feeling almost empty. He rubbed his eyes after a moment then turned only to run into, Revan?

Lips collided with his own so fast he almost didn't realize what was happening until he felt teeth. The Engelon had made itself look like Revan, made Kyoshi feel confused enough just to kiss him? Really, he knew weird stuff always happened to him but this, this was new.

He went to push the Engelon away but the strangest shock seemed to go right into his brain and it made his weak leg give. He blinked dizzily at the floor as the Engelon held him up.
"What the hell was that?!" Kyoshi lifted his head and glared, until he realized that the Engelon couldn't see it.

"You asked if I could talk, so I am talking."
Kyoshi gripped his head and stumbled back.
"What the hell! Get out of my head!"
The Engelon held up it's long elegant hands in surrender.
"I am not in your mind, I am simply communicating to you through it, it is not any different than talking you just receive what I have said without needing to hear it."
Kyoshi watched it warily.
"So you can't read my thoughts or something?"
The Engelon shook it's head.
"I only know what you tell me."
Kyoshi nodded and rubbed his face with both palms.
"Well since you just molested my mouth and tended to my friend I might as well know what to call you."
The Engelon smiled.
"Revan has named me Romel."

Amara's heart fluttered as she stood face to face with her demon, his mixed eyes boring into hers with a fierce intensity, his claws elongated. His light hair swayed with a slight breeze, his lips pulled into a crooked grin. Her face was set in concentration, her gaze dropped to his stomach in order to be able to know the true intentions of his movements. Her pupils remained normal, controlling the signs of using her powers as she looked upwards towards his mind. A sneer pulled at his face, his head shaking as if he could whip her out of him, flinging her from his mind like a rag doll. Stay out of my mind, woman. That's a command.

You do not command me Jacob. In fact, I do remember being the commander of my Elites, and I led them to victory. I-

Victory? He scoffed at her. You won nothing. The only reason you fled is cowardice. Your Elites would be ashamed of you. They would laugh at your very being. Look at you, hiding day to day in the shadows, putting of your fate. You are no creature of the heavens....You put shame on the heavens by calling yourself such a thing...

Her eyes widened in disbelief, her lips parting in emotional pain. What he said was true. She had no right to think herself a creature of the heavens, for she did not portray their qualities. She was a disgrace. A pain erupted in her stomach, clawing at her insides like a paper through a shredder. The pain seared through her, doulbing her over in agony, her face contorted in pain. Jacob stalked towards her, his hand outstretch. She crumpled from her, rolling on the floor unto her stomach. Screeching in the pain of her movements, she dragged herself to her hands and knees, crawling away from him. Only one breath had passed, before his hand gripped at her braid. It pulled, yanking her through the air effortlessly. SHe did not care. Nothing he could do would compare to the agony of her stomach. She could feel her insides churning, tormenting her with pain so great she wished for Jacob to plunge his dagger right into her heart.

Instead, his lips pressed against her neck, his tongue darting out to taste her skin. It was white hot fire coating the pain, shivers contrasting the heat. Shaking in his grip, his lips moved along her jawline, his hand pulling at her nightgown. The fabric gave way with a tear, the sound echoing in her mind, silenced only by the loud beating of her heart. She feared what would come next. She knew her curse well, and the knew the consequences of being touched. Only, his hand that was now roaming over her chest, a tiger stalking it's prey, stopped at her stomach. His nails elongated, digging into the delicate flesh with ease. The slices were a raindrop in a storm, leaving no effect compared to the torrential downpour of pain. He ripped into, tearing out her organs. Horrow siezed her upon seeing her insides in his hand, but it was twisted, unlike any she had ever seen. It pulsed in his hand, writhing and slithering around. Her breath hitched in her throat and she flailed against him in a panic.

A blinding light pierced through the darkness, emanating from them. The delicious heat from it enveloped her, the cold floor falling from beneath her. The light slithered around her, licking at her skin gently, silk against hard granite. Her vision fogged, her and Jacob's bodies going limp in the air, the light surrounding them holding them and caressing them. Her naked form was caught up in the pure delight of the light, her arms and legs hanging in relaxation, her hair tumbling down through the air. A hum enveloped her mind, calming her further as she fell, the air whipping around her yet leaving no feeling at all. Falling for hours, her nude form was elegantly still in the light, as if it were protecting her, guiding her. Slamming into the mattress of another room, a silent breath escaped her, her eyebrows wrinkling as she was propelled from her dream.
