Looking down into her earnest eyes, Victor couldn't help but relax his body some and return this sincere earnesty. His gaze was cast with a certain tenderness as he calmly looked into her eyes. The answer came smoothly to him, he already knew he would accept what he must, but to be fair he did give it a moment of thought. Still, he found his answer easily despite the gravity of her words. Leaning forward, he placed a gentle, yet firm kiss upon her forehead. Then pulling back to smile warmly down at her, one of his hands placed itself gently upon her upper back in a matter he hoped to comfort her with. "Yes, even then I will not look upon you in any other way," he spoke in earnest, his voice somewhat low with a slightly softer quality than normal.

She released a breath and looked deeply into his eyes, hers not flinching or moving for a few minutes. When she seemed satisfied she drew away from him and grabbed his hand, tugging him along beside her again. She knew it would come out sooner or later, but what could she really do? 'Tell him the truth, it'll be alright...' she thought to herself and then took a deep breath and bite her lip. Monologue time.
"I would have been a teen mother, but my baby died. My parents kicked me out on my sorry behind and haven't spoken to me since. I was picked up off the street by, the man from the club. When you mentioned about me working here, well... I won't say it outright, but you know what I mean. I got pregnant again, and this time I was able to care for my baby, however I couldn't show up to work because I had such bad morning sickness. The prick got someone to beat the living day lights out of me. Needless to say, no more baby. I had no where else to go and nothing to look forward to, I locked myself in my apartment when I wasn't here. There's more in the in between things you don't want to hear and I don't have to tell for you to figure them out..." her voice had gone low, and soon had lost all feeling... She felt, empty a bit hollow after admitting such secrets to him.

Victor kept his eyes upon her steadily, his gaze gentle and telling of his intention to accept whatever she had to tell him. When she drew away from him, he would look down at their connected hands with a little smile before following along beside her. He would admit, however, he had braced himself for what she was going to say. Even so, it was surprising. His facial expression remained blank for the most part as she began, but slowly a sadness grew in his eyes. He couldn't imagine any of what she had been through. He'd never fathered a child, and not being a female couldn't imagine losing a child in one's womb- twice -and living through it. How the girl beside him was so strong, he didn't know. Her mental strength never ceased to amaze him. It took him quite a few silent moments after she had stopped speaking for him to fully accept and digest every bit of information she had just given him, and he felt a new sense of happiness in his decision to help her; a new pride in his actions with the man that he had beat in the club.
With the hand that she held, Vnce pulled her backwards gently to stop their walking. His arms moved swiftly around her, now no longer caring that they were standing along some unnamed street downtown. He was sure she needed the comfort, needed to hear that he wouldn't look down upon her for anything she had said. However grave her past had been, this life would be a new one for her. He swore to it. He pulled her to him gently, enveloping her in a warm hug, the same gentle gaze in his eyes as he looked down at her. Not a note of tenderness had left his voice as he spoke up softly, his lips near her ear as he held her, "Your strength amazes me, Divine. Never again will you face such hardships, this I can promise you. No matter what happens." He promised sweetly, tenderly, then pressing a firm kiss to one of her cheeks. If she were able to confess such things to him, who was he to hold back now?
Then sighing softly to himself, Victor moved one of his hands free from her to run up through his hair. That was a sure sign of his thoughts running off on their own as his gaze momentarily shifted to the ground. As soon as it had shifted to the ground, it swerved back up to her. "I've--" he paused, his brows drawing together slightly, as his voice became heavy-laden with guilt, "I've killed so many with these hands. I've tricked people, misused the trust of oblivious men and women to get my fill of blood. Killed my own kind, caused the death of many others..." by this time, his gaze had drawn off again, gaze distant as he seemed to try sorting out his thoughts that had begin to flurry. "Our kind has a controversial system of politics I was once involved in. We'll have to introduce you soon enough, but I'd truly rather not," he added in a murmur, rubbing the back of his head again thoughtfully. His other hand had moved away from her by now, his gaze flickering down to his open hands as if the blood from over the years still covered them.

Her pride did not allow her to cry. Her heart ached with tears, but she no longer could shed them. She'd long ago gotten over such emotional displays, hysterics not withstanding. She however did react, coming back to life when he tugged at her and pulled her into an embrace. She quietly listened to his response, that he would not leave her. His promise of no more hardships. But she knew even if he intended well, he couldn't very well promise that, as he was not God. But the fact that he wanted to keep her from hardships was enough.
She gently took his hand in hers, kissing it gently, and then he began his own story. Though she still felt distant and a bit grievous about her past she did not let it stop her from comforting him. She turned gently in his arms, and once he had completely let go of her she simply watched. His gaze on his own hands made her think that her problems by comparison were not that bad. However she knew that it was neither here nor there.
Taking his hands in hers she gently laid kisses in both the palms, then she turned his face towards hers. "I already knew you had blood on your hands, but I still trusted you. And I still do, do not let me fool you. I am very keen towards others, always have been. My eyes can see into a soul and tell it's darkest secrets." After telling him this she gently kissed him, feeling tears tremble on her lashes. She drew back and swiped at them, and then sent him a tremulous smile.

After speaking, Victor let his gaze sweep back over her as his hands were lifted to receive the kisses she planted in the both of his palms. A crooked grin lifted the corners of his mouth as he observed her facial features slowly, knowing there must be sadness behind them. It suddenly pained him to not be able to read others as easily as she read into him. Of course she must've known this already. Yet, while he felt himself drawn up in his thoughts, he let the memories roll through his head. One in particular irked him. There was vivid imagery of a woman laying strewn-out and cold upon the rounded stones of a street from a much older time. Blood pooled in the cracks of the stone around him as he stared down at the young lady whose face was brushed with a bloody hand. His eyes lingered upon the bulging, pregnant stomach she bore before he forced back this memory and shut off his thoughts completely. While this took great restraint, it was accomplished, and he knew it was for the better. She needed his comfort now-- he had spoken up out of the pure need to confess to her the terror of his own past after she had done so, and so frankly.
The tears along her eyelashes permanently drew Victor from his own thoughts as a grin spread along his face. He knew better than to promise Divine that he could take away the trouble in life, but he knew well that he could attempt to. He could make the daily attempt to keep her happy, no matter the consequence. He could promise her a home, a livelihood, and someone to a watch over her, which eh earnestly hoped old be enough to keep her from the poor life she had once been living. His arms again moved to slip around her waist, drawing her to him gently as his face nuzzled against the side of hers in a loving manner. "Let's get out of the streets before dark, yeah? We've got more to do yet," he murmured, unwilling to release her from his arms but knowing it would have to be done.

She would not cry for herself, but for him her tears seemed to run rampant. She sniffed a little and then hugged him tight, feeling better with his arms around her. She heard him say to get out of the streets. She nodded but didn't want to let go. This was still a bit new to her, being by someone's side, being a girlfriend. Or rather just being with a male, males had harmed her had made her have a deep distrust of men. But Victor, he was different a scarred soul just like her. He wasn't out for his own gain. He was too kind for that. Anything he'd done in the past that was possibly evil or even bad, she knew he wouldn't do it anymore. She drew back finally and took his hand, twining her fingers with his. "Alright, we'll go..."

Feeling the slight dampness of her face, Victor's arms moved to gently pull her closer to him, his cheek resting near the top of her head as they stood there together. It was strange to think that here he stood, comforting the girl he loved in the middle of a side street. Had he been told two days ago that he would be doing this, he would've denied the possibility. Yet, here he was. She'd undergone arguably more than the majority of people of the city during her human years-- but that was just it, her human years. No harm would come her way from those that worked at the club anymore, and most humans to boot, if she found her strength. He was also there now, and he knew better than to think he would let anyone harm her. Still, accompanying these thoughts were some serious questions he'd have to ask himself later. She may have been turned correctly, but they were not yet out of the woods. Moreso than that, there was a question he'd been itching to ask her that he hadn't found a proper time for.
Nodding to her, a grin once more lining his lips, he would proceed to lead them down along the street once more. "How far from here is your place?" he asked, curiously.
