I get an emotional attachment to every horse I have...
I take my husband Marcurio with me everywhere, because he's really useful with his spells. Also, most of the time he'll stay back until I'm done sneaking, then charge in. Occasionally he has run right in front of my while I'm lining up a shot and I accidentally shoot him in the back, do triple damage because of sneak, instantly kill him, and have to reload. But it doesn't happen often.
I also tend to just dump all my stuff at my Markarth house, because it's my favourite house :)
And I have this "merchant trip" I do, starting in Riften, where I go around all the merchants and take all their money by selling them my loot
@Keyori: Hence why I really want that 'The Box' mod...it's a portable home of awesomeness, with even a few mini-quests within it! You can carry it around, drop it, and it becomes a spinning floating box that you can crawl inside of, a bedroom, storage room, dining room, and other stuffs. It's amazing. Every time I need to drop something off, I just use The Box. Convenience to the max! :boogie:
@Roze: Me too...I want to know where they are, but it's hard to keep track sometimes since they just wander off/disappear. :(
lmao! That happens to me all the time every time I go around with a follower! Good thing my followers are all quest followers, so my arrows don't actually kill them but just knock them down for a bit. My triple damage plus critical damage from my Daedric bow and arrows, along with all the clothes/armor/accessories that I wear that adds bow damage percentage are just too powerful for the majority of them. :XD;;
Hm, I think I ran into a bug for the Markarth house. I saw the option for it with the Jarl briefly, but I was doing a quest at the time, so I chose another conversation option. By the time he finished talking, the option for buying the house had disappeared. It hasn't reappeared since.
I always have too much loot. And I'm impatient and don't want to wait for the merchants to restock up their gold, so I use the console codes to give them a shit ton of gold to trade with. ('~', *clicks on merchant*, 'additem "f" 15000') :XD
I wanted to become a Thane of Riften, but the Jarl told me I first needed to have property in the city. So I bought the Riften house, but then forgot to go back to the Jarl to get my new title and made Maven Black-Briar the new Jarl. And now I don't have the option to be made Thane :(
It never occurred to me to use console commands to give merchants money... I know how to give myself money but I don't do it any mroe because I feel like I'm cheating (which I suppose I am) but I have a feeling I might do that when I'm fed up with going around and finding all the merchants to buy my stuff
D:!! Damn, never thought about how that'd went, I haven't run into that problem before yet, though I might try to knock Markarth's Jarl off his throne so that the next Jarl might have an option for me to buy a damn house...
My method is still cheating, but still, at least I'm technically selling my stuff to them in a 'proper' exchange...and it helps level up my Speechcraft. xDDD;;
I wish trainers would let you train to 100 like in Oblivion, it takes quite a while to raise the skill from 90 to 100. :c
I'd love to play with it, it sounds so cool. And finally!! Dragonbone weapons! I'd thought they'd completely forgotten about them in Skyrim, with only the armor. Would love to see the undead dragon summon too. Wonder how much it's going to cost...
I decided to play as a male Bosmer (Wood Elf). He was a Master Marksman, and I must say it was epic! I had done the Thieves' Guild quest, the College of Winterhold quest, and many other side quests before I finished the main storyline, but it was simply epic!
TIP: for all those marksmen out there, try to get Nightingale's Bow ASAP. It's a HUGE boost to your damage
I never tried one handed weapons because I felt they were too clumsy and slow. Gimme a bow and I'll shoot everyone to the floor! Also, having Archery mastered is a plus when fighting dragons. It was so easy I got all shouts before I finished the main story.
I played as a High Elf during my first play though. I made him into a battle mage, focusing mainly on destruction, restoration, and conjuration spells, along with heavy armor (probably on of the few fantasy RPG's where you can do that without too many penalties).
I protested though the story when i first started the game, until i got to the gray beards. After that I quickly headed for to the Collage of Winterhold to do everything there.
As for the new DLC, i am excited to play as a vampire lord, and also glad to hear that werewolves will be given there own skill tree as well.
My longest character that I played was an Altmer that focused on Marksmanship and Destruction magic, a full-out offensive character with next to zero Restoration abilities. :XD He also wore heavy armor and yet liked to sneak around stealing or sniping people from afar. It was fun, even if it was hard in the beginning thanks to the heavy armor being easily detected. All my enchanted armor went towards boosting either Sneak or Archery, it was awesome. :P I rarely used shouts, mostly just the Unrelenting Force to watch people fly away.
I hope DLC won't be too expensive...not sure if I'll be able to get it or not.
Dawnguard is 1600 microsoft points, but in my opinion is WAAAAAY worth it. The vampire armor looks gorgeous on females <3, makes me unbelievably sad I can't disenchant the thieves guild armor :(.
Crossbows are amazing though and incredibly powerful, I've yet to really get to use them though. Haven't stumbled upon any Dragonborn weapons either.

I've been looking through some of the new items, very snazzy. I was able to find a few sets unenchanted thieves guild armor (if that's what you're looking for) from random thieves in cities who are being chased by the town guards. The Thieves guild has yet to get upset for me for eliminated them.
Remember, shops are open 24-7 and half the time you don't even need to pay!
I'm quite jealous, I'm waiting for the PC release at the moment. Luckily all of the user made game mods and addons along with everything else will keep me busy for many more hours. I'm 58 hours in on my current save and I've barely touched anything.
Nah I was saying my character is in Thieves Guild armor but I'd like to take the bonuses off them and put on the vamp armor so I can use it instead lol. You know what never fails to irritate me? When you see the dead thieves in the streets they're ALWAYS carrying junk! If I'm gonna run from the guards with loot I'm gonna make certain the stolen goods I've got on me are worth getting killed over lol. I've seen MAYBE one or two that were carrying a few decent items....
Half the time? Psh I haven't earned even a third of the gold my little high elf is carrying! Lol. Most of my characters are textbook examples of kleptos XD. So TECHNICALLY its always free because none of it is mine :D.
I don't really care for playing console games on the PC but my fiance talks so much about how Oblivion wasn't even worth playing on the xbox if you'd played on the PC so I've been itching for us to get Skyrim, I'm sure there are a LOT of amazing user created stuff out there.
Are you wanting to put the vampire bonuses on the Thieves Guild armor? I'm not sure what the enchantments are but you may possibly be able to find similar items elsewhere, disenchant, and get those enchantments. Dunno though xD. It is surprising how mentally unstable your comrades always seem to be. I've had the same bad luck, but I don't spend much time in towns anyways anymore so I don't know if what stolen goods they have get better as you level up yourself.
Goodness gracious. You are quite the successful thief I see!
I tend to think of it as a PC game on a console, and not vise versa (even though some games are yes, ports to the PC). The mods are one of the great reasons, there's so much more depth that's added through all of these user made projects. From quests, to little additions, new items, more perks, new things to create, and new ways to get to them. Basically there's just a endless supply of mods out there that don't make the game easier but more fun, more difficult, more and depth, and longer. Easy to use too with Nexus Mod Manager. I'll easily get 300+ hours in on one save. Other than mods there's a lot of graphics improvements, FXAA, injectors, etc. Also Skyrim is a little bit of a buggy game, between user made patches and console commands I've been able to get through quests without waiting for patches. Most of all is load time. Load screens are far shorter and there's no lag when opening chests, checking inventory, etc. Just because of the hardware limitations of consoles. Just some reasons why I like it ^^. The only downside is really the cost of a gaming PC verses a Xbox or PS3.
Taking the bonus from the Thieves Guild armor and putting it on the vamp, I decided I was just going to look around for similar stuff and shelving the TG armor :D.
Lol I suppose. Doing two jobs at a time gets 1,200 gold but why would I do those when there's all kinds of nice pretty houses and shops to break in to? Lol.
Geez you make me wanna make him get it for the PC....it sounds so amazing lol.
I think the vampire armor looks better anyways, I wish the Thieves Guild armor came in a darker brown or black.
I dunno, I don't use money anymore. I have chests and chests full of stuff and around 200,000 gold xD. No need to steal or rob anymore!
It definitely is. Playing some user name quests right now. Quite enjoyable. Also, there is a way to transfer your Xbox 360 save to the PC. I'm not sure about PS3 (I would guess so). If you have a computer with a good processor and GPU I would definitely suggest it.
Thieving becomes a habit, after a while. I can't stop myself from looting those houses! Or taking all the stuff from a chest and etc. Of course, I had to be a little picky or my carrying weight would explode past the ten thousands (I'm on constant tgm thanks to all the things I'm carrying around...if Skyrim was anything like real life, I'd be towing a freight train behind me), but even at that, I still have well over several thousand worth of weight every few hours that I'd have to find vendors to sell them off to. And it's not helping that I haven't found a house I truly liked yet...I'm waiting for a mod like The Box from Oblivion before I store everything into the containers. As for gold...I probably have around 2,200,000 gold, that I never really use aside from buying houses and decorations. Again, kinda amazing if you think about it, how large a bag someone would need in order to carry around that much gold...
I absolutely adore Skyrim.
It was such a long awaited game!
I'm so glad in Dawnguard you can become a vampire. I became a werewolf when I joined the Companions and I personally didn't like it as much as I liked being a vampire and Dawnguard just made being a vamp a whole lot better.
And the Vamp/Wolf skill trees? How cool!
Have any of you heard about The Elder Scrolls Online?
I almost ripped the Game Informer from my brothers hands when he said that it was announced.
I'm not really getting my hopes up about ESO. One of my friends is a huge Elder Scrolls fan and used to play Runescape too, so he sees it as a cross between the two, but I'm just worried that he's going to be disappointed. The Elder Scrolls games work really well as single player games, and I'm not sure what a multiplayer would be like. I'll play it when it comes out, but I'm not so sure that I'm going to like it.
They could always try and do something similar to how Two Worlds, and Two Worlds 2 did their multiplayer. There was the single played campaign, then a completely different story, broken up into various different maps to work through for the online portion of the game.
Have you guys heard about the Hearthfire DLC yet? When I first watched the little video I thought they were playing cruel games with my heart whilst making fun of me for being a huge dork, but it appears to be real. I can't freaking wait!
I think Skyrim is amazing, however, I am a bit disappointed in the fact that the bardic college does not allow a player to play the musical instruments. Maybe a patch will come out later that will allow it. I know Hearthfire just came out which allows more of a customization of one's home and ability to adopt children and such. It should be a fun addition for those who like other dimensions of a game rather than just hacking and slashing.
I felt that way too about the Bard's College. On my first character I went through those quests and was really bummed out that it didn't result in me being able to play the instruments. Just give us the animation, man, we know it exists!

Well I'm hoping the next DLC will be just that, at the very least, the animations you mention. It would also be nice if they added buffs for your followers if you use your bardic abilities. They could take the bardic abilities in so many different directions. I play bard characters in Dungeons & Dragons, and bards really make a game a lot of fun even if they are just a support class.
