I once cried after a nightmare about my mum's body dying and dissentegrating in front of me.

I sort of have. It wasn't a proper shrieking scream, but more like a hoarse half-scream thing that I cut off as soon as I woke up enough to realize I was awake.

I've also woken up to hear myself frantically crying-talking, something about vampires... I think my sisters were probably mildly pissed at me for that one, heh. ^^;;

And I fairly-often still wake up crying hysterically over a dream I can't remember very much about - except that it's very very bad, and that it's always the same one when that happens. Which, um, is creepier than knowing what it actually is...

On a sort of unrelated note - I've also dreamed things were happening to my awake-self that related to what was going on shortly before I fell asleep (like my mom bringing me a blanket or a drink if I were cold / thirsty before falling asleep, or me losing a small pet like a hamster/gerbil if I'd been holding one prior to going to bed) and then woken up expecting that to be true and carrying on like it was... and then being either sad or relieved (depending on the circumstance) to realize it was just a dream.

My younger sister carries on conversations with you in her sleep. Ask her questions, and she answers (though she doesn't always make much logical sense!). It's amusing. Good fun at a sleep-over party. ;} Sometimes she remembers the next morning, sometimes she doesn't - either way, though? Good times. XD

I don't scream, I kick out in my sleep (muscle spasms that I'm not even aware of). My sister does talk in her sleep and I heard her shouting once at someone that wasn't even in the room. I was like "ok......" and went back to sleep.

Apparantly, I talk in my sleep all the time!

I don't scream very often, though, but last time I did, it scared the crap out of my husband!

He's a really light sleeper, so usually when I talk in my sleep, it wakes him up, and he lies there, fully awake, laughing at the nonsensical crap I'm talking.
He says his favourite time, is when I rolled over, said "Oh, really?" then rolled away again.
:XD

Wish I could remember it, though!

It's kinda funny - when I have nightmares, I tend to know that it's not real. o.o When I have happy dreams, I really can't tell if they are real or not, unless I'm doing something I could never do in my physical body. xD Nightmares just don't scare me. o.o; Well, they kinda shock me if something grabs my foot, but I usually move on to the next dream.

Cherish - Haha, I laughed when reading your "Oh, really?" sleep-talk experience. XD

I can't recall ever screaming in my sleep, or hearing people say I screamed in my sleep. But I pretty much don't scream consciously either. o.o
I have, however, woken up crying once or twice. More often though, probably more than three times now, I've woken up out of breath, breathing heavily, gasping for breath.. almost like I was just about to scream in my dream or something.. or that I was that close to dying in my dream. x.x

I'd like to say I don't sleep talk at all, but apparently, one time it seemed like I had woken up. My friend said that I had actually sat myself up and responded to her, but I couldn't remember it happening at all. XD;;

And simply on the topic of dreams-
I've also had dreams that were sequels or alternate versions of past dreams. Sometimes, I could wake up 3 times in a night and it'll all be like one continuous dream. Some rare times, I'll be in my dream and I could remember it being like a dream that real-me had once, a sort of deja vu feeling/experience. I have that feeling a lot consciously as well, and it always bugs me. >.<

I'm not sure if I've ever screamed, but I probably have.

my brother on the other hand, he used to have this one dream every once in a while and he would just wake up screaming, drenched in cold sweat and shaking. And after he calmed down, he could never remember what was so scary about the dream. Whatever it was, it freaked me out.

Apparently I mumble "no" quietly sometimes, but it's only been commented on once or twice, by my mother.

On the DC trip last fall, the room next to the one I shared with my 2 friends and this other girl was occupied by 4 other eighth grade girls from our team. Even though we had to be up at 5:30, you really can't expect 3 teenage girls who get along really well (and that annoying bitch who fell asleep then cried when we told her to stop snoring), so at like 1 am we were still playing truth or double truth when we heard a scream come from the next room. We giggled and ignored it, and it wasn't until a week later when talking to one of the girls from that room that I realized it was her, screaming bloody murder in her sleep.

Quite amusing.

I have screamed in my sleep one time when I was visiting two friends in Orlando, FL. I was sleeping in the bed while my two friends were on the floor. It was late at night and I woke up to the lights turning on in the room and my friends asked me if I was okay. I didn't realize I was screaming in my sleep and I didn't remember what I had been dreaming about but they told me they were shocked awake and freaking out because they didn't know what was going on.
It's funny to me because I'm clueless about it. lol

No, luckily. I think the only time I've ever done something in real life from a dream was falling into some weird darkness and then jolting upright.
It's funny though, I had some really long drawled out dream last night. It involved a submarine, a trailer, 7 packs of gum that were worth $7,000, and me trying to find my way home. x'D

Yes and it has acctually scared alot of my friends.
This one time from what my friend has told me, they where messing around and i was asleep upstairs when he decided it would be funny to through his paintball jacket at me and yell its a strawberry because the people he plays with uses strawberrry scented paintballs. Anyways when he did that for some reason I screamed hella loud and it scared my friend so bad it mad him fall down the stairs. When he came back up to see if I was ok, I was just sound asleep.
Then there was this one time that I was sleeping on my friends couch and for some reason they thought they heard me making eating sound like i was eating a sandwich or somthing in my sleep.

D: I've woken up screaming many times.

Now and then I'll even wake up as though I'd just jumped out of sleep.

I really hate waking up like that. ;o;

Usually it's 'cause of some crazy lucid dream, too. T__T;;

I've never screamed but I've sat up and talked to my mother when she woke me up. (Though I was still asleep)

It's weird to wake up in the middle of saying something to your mother :|

I didn't scream, but once my sister said that she heard me mumble while I was asleep. Another time, I heard her say "Get outta here" in her sleep. After she woke up, she told me she must have been dreaming of something unpleasant at that time.

I mumble, twitch, and sometimes suddenly wake up in a cold sweat. The dreams that cause that are dreams that involve me falling, or drowning >_<

I have night terrors, where I'll wake up screaming/see night hallucinations in the room.
Is much more common in children, but does occur in adults, the hallucinations are the scary part as you are wide awake.

LOL. I cuss out my boyfriend's mom in my sleep a bunch.

I've said things like "NO CONTACT, BITCH!" and "WELL, FUCK YOU VERY MUCH TOO!"

The funny thing is, I only talk in my sleep when I'm angry in the dream. So It's always yelled.

I have nice dreams... =w=;
I've never had a real nightmare before, with like murderers or clowns or anything...
The closest to a nightmare would be...
Once, I had a dream... all I could remember is that there was a dugtrio. >>;;;
Yes, from Pokemon. XD;
I woke up sweating and scared, even though it wasn't even a scary dream! xD

And the other dream closest to a nightmare... well, it was kind of really gross.
; o ;
Well, not too much, but it is to me. >>;
I had a dream where I had zits with diameters as big as quarters. -cries-
It was despicable. They were like red and hiding under my hair and just...
YUUUCK.
TT ______ TT;;;

But really, those two dreams are the closest I've ever gotten to a real nightmare. xD;
-has sweet dreams-

I've woken up talking, gasping, and crying, but never screaming. But I don't have nightmares often. I mostly have nightmares when I'm heavily medicated. I'm not sure why. But one night I had nothing but nightmares. People grabbing me, yelling at me, trying to kill me. I just woke up in tears. I didn't want to go back asleep because I was so afraid of another nightmare. Then my cat came in and rested with me and I fell asleep ^^
