I think it was that I was sorta...reading the post, but not reading it. O_o
(I was reading either Loveless or my Poe book.)
But then I was like "Whaa-?" And did a double take. :rofl:

I hope you get to feeling better. <3

Ha, that comic was funny.

Jenova: The Fry books taking over my bookshelves! I took a picture of my collection, I'll edit it into this post when I find the cable for my phone.
Edit: Woop woop.

Tireth: Coraline is the only Neil Gaiman book my library has- apart from Good Omens but it's under P for Pratchett. ¬_¬
I hope you feel better soon. *sends tea*
xkcd is luff too. Luff I say.

Cherry: You can chalk me down as a Max Barry fan thanks to your good self. I've read Jennifer Government, and if his books were more readily available in the UK I'd read more by him. ^^

I suppose I should start my new book list for 2009, huh?

Kat - Yay! :D
Have you tried looking online?

Knerd - Ugh, I know the feeling. Having to disregard my list and start all over killed me. Especially since I tend to take long breaks in between books, so putting a book up there's a big deal for me. xD;

@ehnvy - mecca is more like the vatican for christians, not so much just any random church.
if the vatican weren't a tourist-y sight-seeing place, muslims would at the very least get kicked out, so i can understand a little bit.
and i don't believe that it's because they're keeping things from you, but they may not know what's going on as well.

@jenova - omg i understand. but it was me who did that, before i got really protective of my books.
like some books have pages falling out because i dragged them all over camp and through middle school (coughdeltoraquestcough)

@platy - things get freaky with jacob in breaking dawn. WATCH OUT!! XD
no, really, he's less of a douchebag than he was in eclipse.
also, i love your new avatar. :3

@shadow - that's more destitute than this town i went through in utah. we tried to go to the only theatre in town to get out of the 112F heat, but it was closed until sundown. >:[
i would cry if bookstores were that far away, but i live in the capitol of the state, so it'd pretty much be heresy if everything weren't here.
speaking of movies, i need to call tinseltown and ask if they have english subtitles for their hindi movies.

@kitami - yay multitasking! XD
thankyou~<3
xkcd is the god of geek comics.

@kat - HERESYHERESYHERESY. that's sad. they should at the very least also have stardust. do they separate the books by kids/teen/adult? because coraline and the graveyard book are kids, stardust and interworld are teen, and most everything else is adult.
thankyouforthetea~~~<3
definitely luff, it is. :3

You know i'm really starting to wonder if I should just stop posting in this thread... it seems like every time I do it gets ignored... there was once I got a reply and that's it....

Cherry: I don't know if I said before, but thank you. I had a look on the sites I knew, it looks like Jennifer Government is the only really easy to get hold of book. Tireth very kindly found Syrup and Company on amazon.co.uk, but they're £9 and £10 for the paperbacks without the postage. :/

Tireth: Speak of the devil! There's a Children's section but they've really just split it into books for very young children and everything else. I've searched on the library catalogue and if I remember correctly they've ordered The Graveyard Book but none of the libraries in the city actually have a copy yet.

In Waterstones in town they have Stardust and The Graveyard Book in the adult and teen sections (with the appropriate covers). Neil transcends age ranges! XD

Feyona: I used to feel like that, and I still do everytime the discussion turns to Twilight. You just have to stick your neck out and keep posting. I'm sure once you've finished your first book you'll be on a roll. =D

Maybe... though it's really hard to get in discussions with people about "World War Z" when I don't think anyone on this thread has either read that OR it's sister novel, "The Zombie Survival Guide"... LOL.

Edit
@Feyona: I just finished my first book since December. xD Oops to many headaches kept me from reading.

Jennifer Government by Max Barry (12 copies available)

Cherry: There is no shortage of Jennifer Government. No wonder my library has two copies. It just threw up the amazon links for the other titles. One day I will cave and buy them from amazon. That will be the day they get a proper UK release. XD

Feyona: I've read 'The Zombie Survival Guide' over one of my friend's shoulders. She bought it for her boyfriend but decided to read it first. Did you make the thread about in the Books section? I'm sure I've posted about it somewhere before. ^^;

Congrats Dream! I finished my first book pretty quickly, but that's because it's E.M. Forster's unfinished novel and he only got the first nine chapters done. XD

@Kat: Firebirds Rising consisted of 16 different short stories, so I had to stop after each one think it through then continue reading. Just so I wouldn't blend them all into one book.
I really want three of the stories to be turned into full length books, a fourth already has been made into a novel so I might go get it.

@Feyona
I've heard of those books, although I've never read them. Maybe you could tell me a little of what each is about? If they sound interesting, I'll probably add them to my massive "To Read" pile.

And I'm sorry you feel ignored here sometimes. I know that the conversation moves so fast that I often don't have the time or energy to read through every single page, so I know that some posts go by that I never even see. It's nothing against you, I promise. :hug:

@feyona - we don't mean to ignore you, it's just i don't really have anything to say on the matter. D:
but you need to read! :3

i want to know what you thought of world war z since i'm considering reading it.
and i desperately want to read the zombie survival guide. XD (not a zombie geek, i swear. o3o;;

@dani - weren't you reading that for the longest time? x3

ps.
reading is not going so well today, though i listened to a few chapters of coraline.
i just haven't put my glasses on yet today and even though they're for distance, i need them for reading up close. it's just the farther away it is, the more it blurs, so reading isn't awful without my glasses, but it gives me a headache. D:‹

i want to know if this has happened to anyone else.
or if i'm just tripping on being sick. XD

so i was watching dr. horrible's sing along blog (and then listening to the ost while playing tetris).
it has tempted me to watch pride and prejudice again. x3
somehow.

Dream: Sounds good. I'd have probably just ploughed through the lot and gotten them mixed up.

Ahhh Tireth likes so many amazing things. Today is the first day in a long time I listened to something other than than the Dr Horrible's Sing Along Blog soundtrack on my walk to sixth form. The urge to actually sing along is far too great. XD

If everyone likes P&P so much, have you heard of Lost in Austen? I didn't watch it myself but I have a friend who was totally obsessed with it when it was on.

I've read two books for my list. Both really short, though. One was 91 pages, and the other was 107 pages. I have seven books on my list at the moment. Four haven't been released yet. The other one is 3 Willows that I'm still working my way through.

I love that wowio site someone posted. Does anyone know any other sites that are like it?

Just search for free e-books on google. Tons of sites pop up, but Wowio has the most in copyrighted materials. Mainly because they also have a pay-to-own download system, which is rather reasonably priced.

I think I might put the advanced Banter book on my list on Hiatus, as I have to finish Medea tonight and write up a concept and script analysis.

speaking of awesomeness, i can't wait until repo! comes out on dvd here.

Whenever I say "To Read List," I actually mean the growing pile of unread books that are stacked on my floor.

I should probably begin keeping a true list, too.
