Heh, crack Sue. At least your character had some balance. Most Sues are either totally perfect, or so precisely average it's obvious. Me (or Katya) would have probably ended up prancing around Middle Earth with Pippin, character development be damned. I was a strange child.

Haha, fanfiction always makes me giggle.
I've only written a few ff stories: One or two Harry Potter one and a few based on movies. None worth mentioning. I never enjoyed that sugar sweet i-love-you-so-much non canon drivel, so I'd just find little plot holes or good scenes and expand on them.

My mind can't get around the idea of how you could be a half-vampire and be dead. I'm probably doing far more thinking than the author ever did. :lol:
I spelled (or is it spelt? I never know) so many words wrong there... it's contagious!

I've always looked for ironic angst!fiction. Which, you know-- lots of bad writing.
Then I gave up entirely and started dwelling in corners of the fandom where few doth venture. :XD
So long as you keep me away from the crossover, my eyes hardly twitch at all. :yes:
Pergnant?!
@Kat: Yes, tut tut. Without my Approval. Honestly.
In real life I'm surrounded by a slew of awesome Katies, so I become very happy whenever I hear the name.
And searching my real name in fanfiction is no good-- it was a name very popular in the 90s, so a bunch of terrible tween fanfiction is associated with it. My mother was not thinking, I tell you.
Has anyone else ever heard the fanfiction/sweater metaphor? Involving canon and the things it suffers...

The only Katie I know is a total prima donna. Not like I'm perfect or anything... ^^;
I have that really bad LotR fanfic where the girl doesn't even use any punctuation, read out by someone in the style it was written (lots of deep breaths at the end of whole paragraphs without a pause). Pure comedy.
I don't think I've heard that metaphor Aislin. Poor canon.

Considering that you were seventeen and everything appears to be spelled correctly and has good grammar (I.E. you were intelligent), I'm sure it's not THAT bad.

That poor bowl of petunias. It never deserved such treatment.
But I'm still in love with Teatime with the Dark Lord. I once talked with the author for a long time about our different Lord of the Rings theories and she's pretty much sold me that Tom Bombadil is Morgoth.

Seventh grade english teacher? Oh, you poor, poor thing! xD;
Maybe you should play that to your class and pass out printed copies of it as a lesson on why correct grammar and spelling are so important. xD

@feyona - i've been on the same two books for a month. don't feel bad.
@jessie - you're a huggy person, too? 8DDD
@cherry - oh goodness. potter puppet pals are love.
omg. i adore those links to dramatic readings. XDDD <3
@aislin - YOU ARE HERE, OMG. <3
everything looks exciting, so i really have no preference. just put it up in your own time. ;]
i have your public folder in your skydrive bookmarked and i'll check it occasionally? :3
the show definitely came first, but you're going to have a hell of a time finding all the episodes.
back in the day, bbc erased and recorded over their tapes, so some episodes are lost forever.
@fanfictions discussion - seriously, for every, maybe, 1000 bad fics, there is one totally awesome and worth-it one.
it makes me cry.
i am not sharing my old fanfiction account, mostly because there's nothing left. i kind of deleted it all out of shame about two years ago? it was awful.
@shadow - a seventh grade english teacher? oh, i feel so bad for you. ;_;
you know, you should read them out loud to the whole class. make them understand how ridiculous their writing sounds.

::flops face down on bed:: I hate school (Childish, I know).
I just got back from a nine hour school day that consisted of only two classes and forty minute break that was reduced to only twenty. Is it so hard to find a room with cushioned chairs for a three and a half hour lecture class? Also, why I ask you, do professors find the need to go over their allotted time? It is nine o'clock at night, we wish to go home and eat.

::is loved:: Yay! xD
@Aislin: The campus isn't usually this messed up... except for the emergency phones. xD The class is okay so far. I might have to switch out, having issues with the amount of papers they want. On top of my other classes, it's enormous.
@fanfiction: I never wrote for any sites, but I used to do it for friends. Like I'd write someone a chapter and then they would write me one. Little story bartering. xD

The best fan fiction I've ever read is the Shoebox Project.
That is how I now think of the Marauders - I prefer those characters to the ones that JK Rowling actually wrote.
@jessieomer & tirethminet
Nothing shameful about writing ff! There's some amazing, perfect stuff out there. I'm not ashamed that I like to read some.

I still do the occasional fanfic, but it's mostly for myself and/or my best friend since she's the only person that would completely understand some of the scenarios that I write because of some inside stuff that our heads have worked out.
But I'll admit that some of the rest are fun to read... if nothing else for how awful they are.
And I'll completely agree with those who've mentioned that there are good fanfics out there, because there are! None jump to my mind right away since I write more than I read, but I have come across a few
