The gold earning cap is pretty much begging for inflation prices. That's exactly what happened on gaia. They made gold harder to obtain & they prices skyrocketed to unheard of amounts. So now all the gold with have to be earned through the exchange pretty much, & people will want profits so they can get what they want. = inflation.

Actually a lot of inflation happens when money (or gold) isn't worth as much - and with an unlimited quick and easy supply being pumped into the economy by the games the 'value' of gold goes down.

There is the supply and demand issue- but that won't change - this is simply making gold more valuable again because it's not as easy to get so theoretically inflation should not be as bad.

That's what gaia tried to do, but the thing is, since people can't earn as much gold playing games, they'll work the exchange, buying items & selling them more expensive so they'll get a profit so that they, in they can get the items they wish to get. I mean yes I know Menewsha is different, but that's just what happened on Gaia.

Wow, I only get maybe what 200 if I was lucky a few times from Tetris otherwise I don't much per day on games. I don't play it that often anyway due to my hand gets tired so to me the cap is a bit of a whatever for me, I'm going to miss the uncap for a bit I feel due to I have problems otherwise of actually finding threads to actually say anything in, though I"m happy as heck to see sell back is back so I'm pretty happy still now even with the cap. Which by the way is a decent number for a cap, I was afraid of it being lower like some had mentioned from my quick skim of the thread. Though I am not one of those people to automatically praise that there is a cap, due again its hard otherwise to earn anything. Also me as just an individual user I was never really aware that the games were causing inflation I don't hang out in the exchange again gold is hard to come by for me so what's the point of me being there for very long. Look I wrote more than two lines, which about the most I ever can muster for a lot the threads around this site. :insane:

I think that this 500g per day game gold cap is a good compromise. n_n It still allows players to get enough gold for that little boost in saving up for something so it won't take as long to get a desired item. It also limits gold gain over all so hopefully Menewshans will be less likely to aid in paying outrageous prices for rares and such.

Gold cap will definitely affect inflation.

Shishunki: There's a 50 gold cap in each game session. The 500 gold cap is for a whole day. So, at a minimum, 10 games.

Unless your not good at getting 50 gp per game, eheh, then it's a tad more than ten to get to 500, for me again, I barely even get to 200, so the day I even hit the gold cap would mean I had spent my entire day on here, which well life won't let that ever happen really, that and my hand would be too sore to do it anyway, lol.

this makes me happy. the cut back on the amount of gold allowed to be earned will help battle inflation....which people dont realize. Its all part of market economy. 500g a day is also a fair limit in my eyes. Good job guys.
